0:43 Bob Chandler? Chris Chan's dad? I knew he was an engineer but DAMN!
I used to think Monster Trucks were stupid. Now I'm older and I know that all this time, I was stupid!
Great video. Thanks a lot for making it
11:11 Actually, to quote Meat Loaf, the bad girls go everywhere.
You gotta love how Majesco used liscensed trucks without permission for Monster Trucks on GBA. The cover features the front of Madusa, the in-game truck appears to be a low-res image of Wrenchead.
I'm just dying out of laughter!
Great video, especially your commentary about these games.
It's always a pleasure to see you another Working Man games! Fantastic Works my dude
TIL Microsoft published a game on the Nintendo 64... Hot damn.
Love your icon, friend!
Imagine the spit-takes from Xbox fans.
@ssestakhch Not after Microsoft _bought_ like half of the N64 library! 😂
@@StuartKReilly 4:00 Hey Stu, you do know that Monster Truck Rally for the NES is actually a remake of Stadium Mud Buggies for the Intellivision, right?
I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I'll mention it now.
Back when you were doing RUclips Poop News, you almost always did reviews of some sort. Whether they were reviews of poops, reviews of poop critics, or reviews of sources, it was always some type of review. Now, here you are reviewing video games. You haven't lost it.
Keep being awesome. Here's hoping the next one won't take another 5 months, ha ha ha.
I love that the Monster Truck Rally NES game has the sound effect for tires squealing when they're on dirt tracks.
Glad to see you still monstering along, you truck.
And consider me blown away by the amount of games on this subject.
Terrific vid, Stu. You had me laughing loudly and consistently all the way through, mate. ;^)
NEW STU!!!!!!!!!! LOVE WORKING MAN GAMES!!!!!!! WOOOOOO
Im really gonna miss you Working Mans Games. Good luck.
From poops to game reviews, I stay for that beautiful honed polish it’s Bellissimo 👌
Return of the king
This video reminded me of an old racing game called Ignition
Great video Stu.
These are fantastic!
Watched this from beginning to end. Loved it.

*Sees Stuart K Riley makes a new video*
Me:"Time to multitask"
And what's sad Monster Truck Madness came out in 2001 while "Monster Trucks" came out in 2004
8:38 finally, second person view
Them not giving you instructions was pretty normal for games back then. That's what the instruction books they came with were for. You were expected to read them before you played.
Love your stuff. Keep it coming!
Jokes aside I actually like your style of humour, *Sub*
I played Monster Truck Madness like mad back in the day. Also, the footage in the beginning I recognize, as it's from the legendary "Monsters of Rock and Roar" VHS tape.
You're more entertaining + better than AVGN, and that's a Retro Pixel Lizard garuntee!
You've returned! And boy was that wait worth it!
This has seriously Regular Car Review energy
Cheers to another episode Stu! :)
Great review so far Stu
I suscribe Bro, nice video.
Yay! New stu content!
Monster trucks on gameboy advance actually looks better in 144p. Nice to see you are back btw!
The King has returned
>"I am mean"
I M MEEN LOL
I had a lot of those Monster Truck games on the Wii. A few were alright but most were completely boring, but playable. From what I've heard, that King Of Crush game is uses the same engine as those first two Monster Jam games on the console since they were all developed by Torus. Pretty sure it has the same four-wheel steering mechanic as those too. I quite enjoyed Urban Assault back then, though I also enjoyed some of the worst shovelware that plagued the console so my tastes should be questioned. Still has a pretty good soundtrack in it, which is surprising.
This made for a really entertaining review, and I like the humorous take especially during the intro as immature as it is.
MONSTER MONSTER TRUCKS
9:41 Did you try a different skill level? You were on Rookie earlier before starting
Good girls go to hell?
Did they just predict Billie Eilish? Or did Billie Eilish rip off an N64 game about monster trucks, of all things?
I think my only gripe with emulating old crap is people need to read a PDF of the manual more. Not that I'm against dicking around to find out myself, but I wouldn't have learned Metroid II's story if I didn't have that thing.
Ah yeah!
4:00 Hey Stu, you do know that Monster Truck Rally for the NES is actually a remake of Stadium Mud Buggies for the Intellivision, right?
The NES has the worst library in Nintendo consoles, even with the Wii’s shovelware.
The Wii U had very little games but what few games it had were usually really good.
The NES had a ton of games but most of them were awful, the classics only made up less than 10%.
The Famicom is a bit better, with the Japan-only gems like The Mysterious Murasame Castle (a forgotten companion game to Zelda 1), as well as a ton of JRPGs, visual novels and other anime games.
Also, the Microsoft console with the best library for me would be none of the Xbox consoles but rather the MSX.
The MSX has "X" right there in the name!
The Microsoft X!
The true original Xbox! 😎
I saw Bigfoot when it came to the UK. I was disappointed. I thought it'd be bigger. I mean it was big but not a monster. My kid mind imagined the OG Bigfoot to be huge.
TLDR: Don't meet your heroes.
It actually looks better in 144p
I'd say there's a better version of Monster Truck Rally for the Sega Master System called Buggy Race, which is pretty similar but plays a heck of a lot better.
But it only came out in Europe and Brazil, so best emulate it.
You should check out Monster Jam: Maximum Destruction on the PS2, easily the best Monster Truck game
*MONSTER TRUCKS*
The reason the AI was so stupid in Monster Truck Madness is because the AI is tied to the refresh rate or something like it. It ran much better on the older computers it was intended for. Also, MTM for N64 was a crap port of MTM2 on PC, which is better, but also has the shit AI issue.
To be fair I can't imagine how a sled pull could be fun in a video game but to be balanced, why put it in the game if it's not fun?
Bull Riding
