Glad it's now called "Gregg Turkington's Decker Vs. Dracula". It is sort of like the classic "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" movie series - you recognize the name and you know the movie will be a classic. Smart branding move.
What I really love about the Decker films is how they always shoot everything at the actual setting, no studio, no cgi, that's how great films are made!
+Ethan Barrett Gregg has been there since the beginning. He's a film expert and one of the most knowledgable buffs in the country. I think he knows more about filmmaking than you do!!!
NostalgiaVHS Incorrect, he can't even get his Star Trek movies straight. And while he has great taste, his love for Bond makes me almost lose respect for him. Also his adoration for VHS, which is an obsolete format.
They always say that the mark of a truly great film is that the director does a lot of work but makes it look like he did no work, and that's what Gregg Turkington has pulled off with Decker Vs. Dracula so far. It's so densely layered with subtle homages to great spy and monster movies, but it weaves them into a real mainstream thriller that provides added value for repeat viewers. Stylistic flourishes abound in what is quickly emerging as Turkington's signature blend of emotion, action, and excitement! Even the music successfully plays with the audience's idea of what spy music can be, with its horror influences. 5 bags of popcorn and a ticket to the will call window for when this inevitably gets played in theatrical revivals.
+FlyingOverTr0ut I think you put in more effort into your post than Tim ever put in his acting... Turkington on the other hand is like our generations Anthony Hopkins: a total badass.
+Ryan Hoffman Tim absolutely stole the show. I completely turned off whenever Turkington acted. That moving night-stand was more entertaining than he was, but just as wooden.
Ethan Barrett If by stole it you mean he buttfucked it with his terrible acting. Go listen to Dekkar you Tim lover, leave the classic modern cinema of Decker vs Dracula to us true fans... :)
I love how Kingston’s plan was to just walk up to the castle with his candle and knock on the door, then walk up to Dracula and say “you’re under arrest by order of the President of the United States”
Close; that's a little more normal and coherent than what he says. What he actually says is, "Dracula, by order of the UNITED STATES PRESIDENT OF AMERICA, you are under arrest." 😛
Gregg's direction combined with the legendary acting of JAMES DEAN is nothing short of revolutionary. This is gonna give Dean the resurgence in his career that he deserves
This is just perfect for October. Gregg really has a vision to make this spooky and he's succeeding. The score is very John Carpenter-esque and the imagery and sound effects are terrifying. I don't think I'll sleep much tonight because of this. Scary!
+Gabriel Hoxha Sadly no, Transylvania was all booked up for Halloween :( They went with the next best thing though: Gregg's rape- I mean non consensual sex dungeon.
+Flippy Yeah, I'm worried that Gregg isn't highlighting Tim's patriotism enough this season. Decker is a witty, handsome and deadly boy, but I don't think Gregg knows how to utilize that raw talent Tim encompasses.
+smokelakes Remember that all of Tim's scenes were shot in one day because he is so busy with Dekkar! Those are some incredible performances for such a quick turnaround. A true professional to have memorized that whole script!
+smokelakes Good to see Dekker's trademark patriotism and bad boy attitude made an appearance this ep., tellin' that bumbling idiot President Davison what's up. Gregg really seems to be honoring the legacy of the character while changing his role in new and interesting ways.
Turks' really brought me over from left field. (literally and figuratively) I'm was a left wing spook film guy. I hadn't not never heard of Deckard in the past. Massive scary movie fans be warned. For these flicks are what lead me to change my life. I am a new born patriot due to discovering 'The Deck'!!! I owe my old family an apology. I was a sissy. I know that now. Congrats Turk. Thanks Deckard. Seek me out to know more.
Using real models and bushes instead of complete CGI like Port of call: Hawaii. I love how Gregg is utilizing practical effects it has an old school vibe to it
+TheRussianGestapo It's an artistic style, a subtle message from the amazing direction of Turkington. Maybe something about how the White House has become but an image of itself with no real substance given the dangerous power Dracula might have over America.
That got me too. Also when he was walking up the stairs to the main entrance and also when the door opened and it passed right through him. 😂. I love these guys.
At first I thought this was going to be a silly episode, but I was wrong. (Spolier alert) When Dracula, Wolfman, and Frankenstein reveal themselves, I was down right terrified. Cant wait for the next ep.
Wow what the hell. I know you said spoiler alert but I kept reading anyway and so I knew those 3 were going to show up. You’ve officially RUINED Decker vs Drackula for me. Congrats.
Turkington is in his element with this command performance as Kington. Love seeing the Decker Universe expanding, which wouldn't be possible with Heideker's conceptual groundwork. These two are truly the John Lennon and Paul McCartney of film.
I can't believe Gregg is jumping out of airplanes and doing all his own stunts! Gregg is really stepping up to be Movie star that we all knew he could be!
This is A JOKE! Yeah, technically this is a few notches above the previous series, but where is the HEART? Where is the emotional impact that Tim could bring with just a raised highbrow or a puckered mouth?! It's heartbreaking, really - Tim is the consumate professional, and his line-reading is impeccable, but you can tell that he's just going thru the motions. I hope he snaps soon and puts that power-mad VHS fetishist in his place!
This is remarkable. I love the special effects this season. And that spooky table that was following Gregg, scariest season of Decker yet. 5 bags of pop corn.
The Franchise has veered horribly off track. I didn't come to see Decker - the titular and only true star - sit behind a desk with a spineless excuse for a president.
Gregg is one Wilhelm scream away from locking down the Oscars for best sound editing AND sound mixing. I haven't heard foley work this good since "The Artist"!
Once again Turkington delivers another sublime performance. When Dracula brought out his boys you see in Kington's eyes that the Count, did indeed, hold ALL the cards.
That was an extremely pleasant imprisonment. He really did just show Kington to his room. Nice Wolfman. Great work, Gregg. Great actors as well. Solid all the way through.
It sucks that there have been so many scenes not featuring Jack Decker so far but I understand why Tim could only shoot for one day, he was bringing the powerful music of Deckar to life.
7:15 "Sorry, Mr. President, it looks like Dracula's holding all the cards this time." You gotta be in a weird place in your career as an actor when that's one of your precious few lines.
Watching this series is like a transcendental experience. Its like being swept away to another world. I get lost in the outstanding, amazingly realistic special effects and the nail-biting plot. Gregg Turkington is one of the emerging filmmakers of our generation. Watching this Im reminded of the early films of Francis Ford Coppola or Martin Scorsese. Quite simply Decker 3 is a masterpiece so far. Im waiting with high expectations for the continuation :)
With that stunning performance by the great James Dean and Tim's impeccable delivery, who in their right mind would give this anything other than five bags?
I love the continuous green reflected light on everyone's faces, especially in high action scenes - no doubt a commentary on the saturation of CGI and computer generated effects in modern filmmaking.
THIS IS SUPPOSE TO BE GONE FROM THE INTERNET!!! Tim was TRICKED into this by Gregg, who never showed Tim the script, which is ILLEGAL by the way according to any business contract and especially in THIS CASE.
Is Mark Prosch playing Wolfman? It doesn't look like him. This season of "Decker" is going to need more Proksch in order to thrive. This episode was worse than the first. "Decker" is all about action: shooting guns, driving around in hot cars, singing songs, forward rolls and hand to hand combat fighting against the world's terrorists. I'm going to give Gregg one more episode to redeem himself. These episodes are for little kids. The CG work is the only breath of fresh air.
Masterfully acted by the great Gregg Turkington. And to think he jumped out of that plane, risking his life for the love of the craft. And that crow that was just hovering in place? I never knew these levels of CGI could be accomplished
When you see that Victorville Film Archives Pictures logo you just know you are in for a five-bagger
Im gonna go ahead and throw in 2 sodas with that as well
duh. it's a good thing that they got eyes in the sky
Greg’s directing and writing is a guaranteed Oscar pick
Five bags of popcorn, two sodas and one set of fake Dracula fangs so you can play Dracula and Decker at home
five bags of pig shit
Way to go Gregg! You've shown you can act as a hacker but today you proved you're no HACK as and ACTOR!
+Quality Sketch Ah shit we got a poet.... but do he know it?
+Quality Sketch That was beautiful.
Quality Sketch
Bravo bravo
GASP
Oh man I know this is way late but... that was gold man. Best comment I’ve heard so far on RUclips
Glad it's now called "Gregg Turkington's Decker Vs. Dracula". It is sort of like the classic "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" movie series - you recognize the name and you know the movie will be a classic. Smart branding move.
++Adult Swim wow! 503 error on site
+Ovidiu Lipsa You know being down with decker is the only way to defeat dracula so I think you are being jealous.
It's innovation in title sequences like this that keeps film enthusiasts around the world talking for decades to come
What I really love about the Decker films is how they always shoot everything at the actual setting, no studio, no cgi, that's how great films are made!
That table following kington around was the scariest part.
+Dernden Nermden For me the scariest part is how much Gregg will ruin Decker.
I fear that Gregg will let the whole series down. He will turn it into something thats not better but something that is worse.
He's seen 501 movies in 501 days, I think thats all that really needs to be said.
They always say that the mark of a truly great film is that the director does a lot of work but makes it look like he did no work, and that's what Gregg Turkington has pulled off with Decker Vs. :)
+FlyingOverTr0ut This trash music?? Please... Wake me up when we get some Dekkar in the score.
J. Smiiiiiiii No, save Dekkar for the next movie which will be titled "Decker: Midlife Crisis Edition"
WOAH! How the heck did they shoot that helicopter scene? I always knew Turkington was the type of guy to perform his own stunts!
word is ILM had a hand in that scene..
Ross Burns
It was oviously cgi. How can you call yourself a true film buff if you can’t even tell the difference betwean cgi??
The Brie Larson of horror
Klingston is the best sidekick Decker could ask for. He is a hero he did a lot of good things he made a good he is a good friend.
Davidson clearly messed up big time sending Klington in to do a job that only decker can take care of. Stick to the codes, Kingston!
knock out that dirty Dracula fella with a 200 decibel "HEY GUYS"
@@dharmallarsI got a code for you Kingslan…1 Decker + 1 Dracula = 0 bags!! Go back home to Victorville fucko!!
Scary!
+Michael Walsh I thought the theme in the first episode sounded like a mix between the Bond and Halloween theme songs lol
Bullshit! it sounds like a Tom and Jerry cartoon.
I read this as a Trump Tweet
happy to be alive right now because if i were dead i wouldn't be able to watch this
don't be a sceptic
That's the first smartest thing you've said all day.
+ree ria That's exactly what a zombie would say
+ree ria this is all i have left to live for
+ree ria Agree, happy for the same reason I'm not in prison or stuck in some remote place without internet like Kabul or Detroit
did they film on location?
+Gabriel Hoxha Sadly no, Transylvania was all booked up for Halloween :(
They went with the next best thing though: Gregg's rape- I mean non consensual sex dungeon.
chairman wow believe it or not it’s all green screen
It said right at the bottom, Transylvania Mountains. Can't you read, ya dingus?
Everything in the show is practical effects. Virtually no CGI.
Correction, I believe they did film the aerial shots directly in Transylvania. Stunning, really.
The CGI in this show is groundbreaking. How can they afford this budget for an online show? Simply amazing!
the cinematography is breath taking but i still would not consider this canon in the decker series
+Flippy Yeah, I'm worried that Gregg isn't highlighting Tim's patriotism enough this season. Decker is a witty, handsome and deadly boy, but I don't think Gregg knows how to utilize that raw talent Tim encompasses.

Wrong. No CGI here, pure stunt work by the best in the business
Once again you've nailed it, Gregg. Bram Stoker would be proud.
Six years later and the entire world is still great full
@@atfrench22 hear hear
I hope Kington's new table sidekick makes a return sometime
Using real models and bushes instead of complete CGI like Port of call: Hawaii. I love how Gregg is utilizing practical effects it has an old school vibe to it
That's why the castle looks so much bigger than in the movies.
The choice of music for this season is excellent so far.
A reflection of the White House in the windows of the Oval Office. Genius.
+TheRussianGestapo It's an artistic style, a subtle message from the amazing direction of Turkington. Maybe something about how the White House has become but an image of itself with no real substance given the dangerous power Dracula might have over America.
How dare you Gregg, making Decker all about you. You're the real dracula draining this franchise of its wit and charm.
Tim's acting is so effortless and smooth that I often cannot distinguish himself from the Decker character.
Decker has troubles speaking even the most primitive words but has no trouble with capitulation.
When Gregg jumps out... MY SIDES I can't...
That got me too. Also when he was walking up the stairs to the main entrance and also when the door opened and it passed right through him. 😂. I love these guys.
+Durrpadil this needs a spoiler alert you jagoff
+Ernesto Hendrix I consider myself "jagoff"'d
This is an instant Popcorn Classic
My stomach hurts from laughing so hard at Greg's jump off the chopper.
Congrats.
Kington should’ve said “Hey guys?” instead of saying “Guys?” when he was looking for Dracula in the castle.
This is, quite simply, the best thing I've ever seen. I tip my hat to you my captain Turk, you sweet brilliant fool.
+j-dub productions Captain Turk? Fuckin' genius man!
I just re-watched avengers end game and it reminded me how much better the animation in Decker vs Dracula was. Top notch.
These special effects are blowing my mind
4:42 Joe Estevez whispering lines to Decker was nice. He seems like such a sweet guy.
I am proceeding- this is a good comment. This is a good comment!
He purposely sabotaged Tims business by bankrupting it.
Rats off to the entire team. A masterpiece.
I can’t believe how brave Klington is
My favorite part of the Deckerverse is how it takes place inside a temporal singularity where it’s always 5 or 6 AM.
I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Amazing shots of the helicopter scene. I can’t believe Gregg performed his own stunts!
The most realistic enemy to America that Decker has ever faced
I had to stop the video two or three times just to gather myself and find my courage. What a scary and thrilling episode!!!
Turkington is in his element with this command performance as Kington. Love seeing the Decker Universe expanding, which wouldn't be possible with Heideker's conceptual groundwork. These two are truly the John Lennon and Paul McCartney of film.
Phantasmagoria 3: Kington's revenge.
+Ruz 6:54 I think dracula calls him "Mr. Linkton"?
+Ruz Oh man... I forgot about those games!!! The second one was ass though.
The motion capture does remind me of those though lol
Resident Evil: Master of Unlocking Turkington's Revenge!
A Decker FMV game would be unbelievably funny
production values and visual effects are incredible this season! Keep up the good work, greg and co.!!!
Surprised they were able to bag a legend like James Dean for the role.
I got too spooked to continue watching after he picked up the skeleton candelabra. Can someone tell me if Kington is OK?
don't be a scaredy cat it's not like Spagett was in it
He’s dead
Decker 3: The 90's point and click PC game experience.
Only the finest cd rom technology!
The budget for these episodes just keeps getting better and better.
So many references to good old horror movies. I even spotted that moving table from Poltergeist!
I personally got chills when frankenstein forced kingston into his cell. some truly terrifying stuff.
I can't believe Gregg is jumping out of airplanes and doing all his own stunts! Gregg is really stepping up to be Movie star that we all knew he could be!
I think this was James Dean's final film before he died in that car accident. What a great performance to remember him by!!
5:17 - that shot actually looks amazing.
'We should of bombed that castle back into the stoneage' brilliant
This is A JOKE! Yeah, technically this is a few notches above the previous series, but where is the HEART? Where is the emotional impact that Tim could bring with just a raised highbrow or a puckered mouth?! for those who cant wait for dracula to appear 5:37
Finally someone has the courage to stop kowtowing to Dracula's demands
the CGI is beyond funny. my stomach hurts from laughing
I know, same with me. It's retarded how much I laugh at this shit. Tickles my funny bone.
What CGI? Oh... you mean.... it wasn't real?
Connor Smutny you're enemy of America this is all real better believe eyes in the sky we are keeping a birds eye view on your activities
Arslan Arif -.- we have to get eyes in the sky -.-
This is remarkable. I love the special effects this season. And that spooky table that was following Gregg, scariest season of Decker yet. 5 bags of pop corn.
I'm watching this while a take a shit at work.
The Franchise has veered horribly off track. I didn't come to see Decker - the titular and only true star - sit behind a desk with a spineless excuse for a president.

Once again Turkington delivers another sublime performance. When Dracula brought out his boys you see in Kington's eyes that the Count, did indeed, hold ALL the cards.
Kington’s plan was airtight - except Dracula was holding all the cards.
The real marvel is how well Tim’s scenes came out on such a time crunch.
There are few things better than a brand new Decker on your lunch break
it's like theyre actually there
They weren't?
They were not?
They were not?
his ability to act as if he's only skimmed the script once is pretty incredible
Gregg's acting is superb. I am blown away!
The 3D stands up as well as it does in Attack Of The Clones, and that to me, is the greatest film ever made.
Tim’s delivery is so natural
That was an extremely pleasant imprisonment. He really did just show Kington to his room. Nice Wolfman. Great work, Gregg. Great actors as well. Solid all the way through.
It sucks that there have been so many scenes not featuring Jack Decker so far but I understand why Tim could only shoot for one day, he was bringing the powerful music of Deckar to life.
Robert Smith from the Cure did the Dracula makeup on James Dean .
Why do I always watch scary stuff like this before going to bed? Oh well, I didn't plan on sleeping tonight anyway lol
7:15 "Sorry, Mr. President, it looks like Dracula's holding all the cards this time."
You gotta be in a weird place in your career as an actor when that's one of your precious few lines.
The production value just keeps getting better!
Even the radar is a greg head
Amazing to see James Dean as Dracula!
Watching this series is like a transcendental experience. Its like being swept away to another world. I get lost in the outstanding, amazingly realistic special effects and the nail-biting plot. Gregg Turkington is one of the emerging filmmakers of our generation. Watching this Im reminded of the early films of Francis Ford Coppola or Martin Scorsese. this incredible dramatic setup is headed for an explosive and thrilling conclusion! looking forward to it!
With that stunning performance by the great James Dean and Tim's impeccable delivery, who in their right mind would give this anything other than five bags?
great writing so far... much more dramatic than previous seasons. Very excited for this series to unfold.
It's like a better mission impossible, amazing. Turkington is man ahead of his ages.
Thanks to coby for making the best portable DVD playe- err. I mean presidential computer.
I love the continuous green reflected light on everyone's faces, especially in high action scenes - no doubt a commentary on the saturation of CGI and computer generated effects in modern filmmaking.
Ah finally! A classic, fully restored in pure HD. Something a true movie buff can appreciate.
It must've taken Greg months to perfect that diving technique, man now that's oscar worthy
I'm glad they embraced Sega CD technologies while filming this.
I’d say at least 3DO level
THIS IS SUPPOSE TO BE GONE FROM THE INTERNET!!! Tim was TRICKED into this by Gregg, who never showed Tim the script, which is ILLEGAL by the way according to any business contract and especially in THIS CASE.
Gregg's jumping from a chopper face is incredible... you people are geniuses
Creating a partnership with Victorville Film Archives was a great move by Gregg. The extra funding will bring this series to a whole new level!
I feel honored to live so close to Victorville.
Under Gregg's tutelage, the Inland Empire gas become a latter-day Rome, with Victorville as its Pantheon.
film buffs will notice the expertise used in this production
Wow they really trust Gregg to give him such a large budget to work with, he did NOT disappoint.
Mark is a true impressionist actor. He becomes the role. I personally think he is both wolf man and Frankenstein. How? Movie magic!
This is the culmination of all of mankind's history of hard work and innovation. Thank you Gregg Turklington for this 5 bag thriller.
I lost it when it cut to show a huge Gregg looking out the helicopters door, then when he goes to jump, the size of the door is towering over him
Masterfully acted by the great Gregg Turkington. And to think he jumped out of that plane, risking his life for the love of the craft. And that crow that was just hovering in place? I never knew these levels of CGI could be accomplished
Gregg Turkington's Decker vs Dracula is an american triumph! two thumbs way up!
The CIG and Specail Efx are so great Gregg! i freeked out my boots when i saw that Frankingstein. So incredibly spooky!!!!!
"Dracula, Dracula, come out wherever you are!"
It's so realistic and perfectly executed, I feel like I'm in Dracula's Castle myself when I watch this. Greg is such a visionary and writer.
the VFX are second to none
