GreggHeads of the world unite! We have nothing to lose but our Tims. We have a whopping 5 bags of popcorn to win! ~ And yeah, when Gregg is in character, you really think that's how he is. And you can find elements of this character at your local public library, thrift store, adult day center, etc. ~ I always think of Oliver Hardy watching Gregg: the serious looks that make you laugh uncontrollably, the straight-character that makes you laugh harder than anyone who's being explicitly funny, the total naturalness in character, saying subtle little things that are just delivered perfectly, with perfect timing, said the right way and said so naturally as if they're not in character at all, where pretty much anyone else saying it wouldn't be funny at all, but they make you fall apart laughing. Gregg really is a genius of comedy acting. And I love how he closes with his character advocating overhauling the channel interviewing him to match his passion. If trump could act with the genuineness and naturalness of Gregg, he'd be able to flim-flam a reelection.
I think he's out of character in the 2016 Amoeba Records "What's In My Bag?" segment with his bandmate (which you can find on here). But people who are always putting on a show "in character" after get lost in their character/s and either merge their "out of character" persona with their character, or assume their character as their own persona. That's quite common with non-famous, non-performing-artist people who take on a character or alternate persona, and with people whose "stage" is on the internet, as well as with famous performers who always feel compelled to put on a show for others until they internalize their character and act and take it as their own persona and identity fully or to some partial degree.
this is a great example of how to interview people in character. don't try to be in on the joke, but don't try to shut them down either. just set up the characters to take shots. great interviewer well done. you could see they were having fun and almost broke character on the alice in wonderland bit
:) Well said. ("they were having fun and almost broke character on the alice in wonderland bit" -- and Tim on "accessing supermarket-style meat", too.)
2:54 I love that "Stump the Buff" segment. The first question she asks, and Gregg doesn't know it so he tries to discredit The Little Mermaid as "not a movie".
Most other interviewers would be so thrown off. Guessing you were notified a little bit but bravo on handling the situation and I hope to see you a lot more..
I actually prefer when the interviewer is totally bewildered and doesnt know what the hell is going on. When Tim and Eric were doing their media circuit promoting the Billion Dollar movie a couple years ago, those were some great fucking interviews.
Naw, she's actually pretty bad at setting them up, her questions get too specific and she isn't funny enough to keep the flow going. Caroline from HuffPost Live does a much better job: ruclips.net/video/5mbizkHtWpQ/видео.html
Turkington continues to overstep his boundaries. Heidecker showerd great patience, but an A-lister and visionary like him shouldn't have to speak with anyone.
I almost couldnt look as Tim and the interviewer viciously ganged up on Gregg for stating that Alice isnt a fantasy movie. if theres no Hobbit theres no fantasy.
So funny when Gregg is asked about his musical career, and he takes offense and then reiterates that critiquing (VHS) movies is his real "area of expertise." So funny.
"I do trust you.". wow. the interviewer handed this shit so well; you could probably/almost say she helped facilitate it. fucking brilliant on all parts
This journalist did an amazing job handling the interview through a good sense of humor and curiosity. Tim and Gregg were still able to troll but it wasn't anything cringeworthy, everyone there had a good time from what it looked like.
Tip: please use the microphone instead of just holding it for no reason. Other than that, can't wait for the new Decker series and Dekkar's rise to fame.
You guys didn't have a second mic for Gregg? At least stick your arm out and point the mic directly at his mouth when he's talking. With decent audio this could be really great
It's amazing how you people take stances like this when without Tim, there is no Gregg. It's like saying, "I love this aluminum frame beach cruiser but I think aluminum is a waste."
I love that she attempted to ask Gregg a real music question and he was like nah were not doing that
I love how there are these interviews scattered around the internet that are basically another episode of On Cinema.
I recommend the call in they did to Kreative Kontrol, truly hilarious
Tim exploits the death of his son within the first 40 seconds of the interview. Had to have been tough to make the decision to do so.
Gregg's demeanor is so amazing. Seriously, one of the great dry comedy personalities ever.
Tim said, in the most recent H3 Podcast episode, which he "specialguested", that Gregg is probably the funniest guy on Earth.

Tim is just lethal once he's in character. Really a master
Hes always in character
Panos 0000 always wondered how long it takes to get in and out of character.
@@GeddyRC only time i saw him out of character was on the h3 podcast
character?

also started the interview with a “hey guys” 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
well, she tried to get Gregg to talk about his 90's band
I love how deep these fucking characters go
04:27 I love how pleased Tim is with coming up with the term 'supermarket-style meats' xD
2:54 I love that "Stump the Buff" segment. The first question she asks, and Gregg doesn't know it so he tries to discredit The Little Mermaid as "not a movie".
I would give this interview five bags of popcorn.
6 bags for me
I'll give it five bags because that is the most bags you can have.
Plus 2 sodas.
I'm giving it as many bags that you can, which is 6.
+Matthew Butcher two bags of, uh, two cups of soda
and 5 bags of soda
The interviewer actually did a great job here. Fielded their answers very gamely.
hahaha thanks!!!

Gregg almost loses his shit during the Alice in Wonderland bit. lol
Just as good as an ep. of On Cinema
Shut up
I love how Tim begins to smile when Gregg avoids the Little Mermaid Question. These guys are excellent at being on character haha.
I too am on a diet of supermarket style meat.
Don't forget the creamed corn.
Turkington continues to overstep his boundaries. Heidecker showerd great patience, but an A-lister and visionary like him shouldn't have to speak with anyone.
"Using supermarket-style meats." - Tim Heidecker
He knew he had said something extra funny. He was proud of himself.
Andrew Malenda
I think he was about to laugh.
hahahaha ffs i lost it at that
I almost couldnt look as Tim and the interviewer viciously ganged up on Gregg for stating that Alice isnt a fantasy movie. if theres no Hobbit theres no fantasy.
I just realised... Decker is the last part of Tim's last name and Kington is the last part of Gregg's last name. Very creative 7/3 bags of popcorn.
Inspired to try this red meat diet Tim mentions. Shouldn't be too hard to access some supermarket-style meat.
That was one of his greatest lines. I have been laughing out loud every time I think of it.
i recommend meyers creamed chip beef in a can. now on sale only .99 dented cans 70% off
shut the fuck up
I can't believe Tim does his own stunts for Decker what a brave man.
Fabulous interview. Seeing Gregg and Tim riff is great, especially when Gregg nearly cracks up around 7:45
interviewer was fantastic. really bounced off them and you could see tim and gregg loved it. so funny hahhahahaha.
Tim treats Gregg just like he does during on cinema at the cinema.. Step up Gregg!!
So funny when Gregg is asked about his musical career, and he takes offense and then reiterates that critiquing (VHS) movies is his real "area of expertise." So funny.
Ahh, yes, thanks for reminding me of that one! :)
"I do trust you.". wow. the interviewer handed this shit so well; you could probably/almost say she helped facilitate it. fucking brilliant on all parts

I love these two, and great job with the interview... great to peel back the onion that is Tim & Greg and learn about their process!
She is absolutely STUNNING 😍 big shout out to her folks!
I've accessed this interview a few times, love it
"There aren't enough Fab movies in the world today" Amen Gregg!
Tim loves "access" and "perspective", and I love that.
“And how is it working with Adult Swim?”
*Silence*
“It’s not ideal.”
Glad there's no spoilers
You guys did a great job on this interview!
The interviewer is obviously a GreggHead opening the interview with a "hey guys"
How do these guys keep a straight face? Like machines.
I wish they would mic Gregg. he is truly the talent behind the Decker series and he NEEDS to be taken seriously!!!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this whole interview
my best and closest friend, Lanoi
I’m not convinced that this whole RUclips channel wasn’t created just for this interview.
7:45 gregg tries not to crack up
So does Tim at 4:26 - 4:30
Gregg's one track movie mind is incredible to watch in action.
love that tim breaks character a bit at 4:27 and has to hide that smirk haha
I love how Tim gets the Jack Nicholson eyes early in the interview. Priming
Great interviewer! :D
Very excited for the 4th season, this might as well be Decker 3.5 with the whole dracula fracas.
Gregg made an ending to Decker vs Dracula. It was everything i hoped it would be.
"im still technically married but end up playing, uh, on the weekends, and theres a lot of loose...so anyways yea" hahaha
San Louie... San Louie Bispo.
I live in San Luis Obispo and that shit had me dying
Love the fact that Tim has access to all of these different things including Supermarket Style Meat
Tip: please use the microphone instead of just holding it for no reason.
Other than that, can't wait for the new Decker series and Dekkar's rise to fame.
note taken sir
She has the BPMs dialed in pretty well so it doesn't matter.
Nice bass n guitar in the back ^^
ya blew it!
I really dig the interviewer on this one.
I love that you can barely hear Gregg because she's not moving the mic really at all hahaha
That picture of the Brule twins... classic
that eyebrows raise was fucking hilarious
5 bags of popcorn and three microphones
:) You are so generous.
Is that a lined fretless bass behind Tim?
Who's the interviewer, she needs to be famous so I can see more of her :)
Ummm why thank you!!! I agree ; )
Hahaha awesome :P
Wait... Why are you prowling around such an old video of yourself!? Looking for comments like mine? xD
Isn't this video only a few weeks old? Maybe I am missing something...
Bradley, ya blew it!
probably the first person to say “basically accessing supermarket-style meat”
This reminds me of on cinema at the cinema
How come?
I get the sense that this Gregg guy takes a liking to movies.
I would love for Tim to give the fans a guide to accessing supermarket-style meat
Hit the road Jack!
That's not a spoon, it's a banana, moron!
Great video Fernando!
I think that intro is really good.
Im crying
Haha, fab interview. Five bags
"It has...fantasy elements..."
You guys didn't have a second mic for Gregg? At least stick your arm out and point the mic directly at his mouth when he's talking. With decent audio this could be really great
I know where Im going to be this weekend
#Greggheads for life. Tim is a waste.
It's amazing how you people take stances like this when without Tim, there is no Gregg. It's like saying, "I love this aluminum frame beach cruiser but I think aluminum is a waste."
John Short Tim killed his own son for insurance money.
ALLEGEDLY
Tim is a mess
Tim needs to go back to Jackson Hole & stay there #Truth #GreggheadsUnite
This is true improv. Tim is so funny.
my favorite part of this interview is the part where you can't hear anything that Gregg is saying bc
no mic
Great Job!
Gotta love that supermarket style meat
"Fab TV should turn into Fab Movies" 😂😂😂
so much better than that god awful "FabTV" eric andre interview
Where’s WC Fields..
That interviewer is *gorgeous*.
Praise Rang.
Gregg just won't shut up about movies.
If you know Tim, you know this whole thing is a fucking gag. it's hilarious
Jesus Christ give them microphones.
Tim's got a great head of hair
RIP Tom Cruise Heidecker
He also almost laughed talking about sleeping in a Miata.
Alice in wonderland isn't a fantasy? Greg, ya blew it.
If we were a decent country we would give Tim $300 million to make an Infinity War style Decker movie.
are they acting on this interview?
They're in character.
No this is just their personalities. Source: I work for adutl swim
2:02 killed me
Hey guys
I tried the supermarket-style red meat diet and gained 7 pounds the first week.
I love accessing supermarket-style meat
Way to not mic the guests...
This interviewer is smokin
sveloga spaghett got her wet.
fix the set, invest in some clipper mics and get rid of the greenscreen for chrissakes, then it might be watchable. otherwise 5 bags of popcorn.
accessing ... supermarket style meat
God-tier trolling
"basically accessing super-market-style meat"
no way this can top Decker vs Dracula
Isnt it called a triton?
