he was kinda an asshole when i met him at a dvd signing. rolled his eyes at people didnt smile and was real short and grumpy with his answers. eric on the other hand was a fucking gentleman and super sweet.
Well were all dicks sometimes. He's a human being. I don't know why people are surprised when someone isn't 100% super nice all the time. Like, nobody owes us a smile. We just keep our side of the street clean as best we all can and give each other space to be however we are. It doesn't really help anything to whine about someone else not acting the way we think they should. You don't know whats up in someone elses life.

The addition of Spanish guitar music (flamenco?) is great. It was featured in basically every 90's comedy and I love that you guys have brought it back. It has such a relaxing feel and for some reason really lends to the genre, I have no idea why. I love it.

Just as it could be a socially awkward comedy with much of the comedic relief removed, it could also pass as a serial killer story with the violence removed, which I think is a pretty neat line to walk.

All the stupid subtle shit that captures how the characters are "just logical enough to function, but mostly complete idiots" is spot on and hilarious. The obvious big one being Tim's character screwing over Cera's character when Stacey's neighbors accidentally frame her...but sneaking in things like "close but not quite" word choices (unobstrusive) and having Cera's character watch an ASMR video (a thing which is becoming quite regular, but still mostly considered an awkward behavior to have). The silly, carefully chosen but designed to be overlooked extraneous details like the Canadian-Chinese restaurant are meant to have the viewer double take and ask "did that just happen?", but only once it's too late and you're already being hit with another nonsensical but just under the radar oddity.
I don't know what's so hard to "get" about this piece. It's a constant barrage of tastefully stupid.
Cera asking a girl that has just been kicked out of her home if her bbq is still on really got me.
