Obviously, you should watch MISTER AMERICA before viewing this, but this is a rare public not-in-character discussion not just about the making of the film but about the On Cinema world at large. Note that this was also being shot by better cameras on tripods, so it's entirely possible you'll get to see this material down the line.
If you're with Abso or your name is Tim, Gregg, Eric, or Andrew and you'd like this to come down - shoot me a note via my drafthouse.com email or via Twitter at @johnwsmith.

When you have interviews like Nathan Fielder in them...
Ehmmm Jay Then you have shit.
You can’t lose. I definitely think this movie will get an Oscar nod and deservedly so!
@@iVenge ya blew it.
Then you have someone to "FIELD" all of the comments from the audience! It's a win.
Nathan has a natural comedic cadence and tone when he speaks, I’m not surprised people thought he was being sarcastic the whole time.
Definitely a 5 bagger if I've ever seen one.
I'll throw in 2 wooden folding chairs also
You can argue technically that this was actually a 4.5 bagger. Dont be biased.
Eric: "It originally started as just a google doc", Audience: "bahahaha!.
Rest in Power Dr. Luther San!
when the guy filming asked a question and everyone looked into the camera I was like oh god this better be a good question
I had a dream I met Tim in person and asked him about mister America and it made him turn into an orange cat. felt like a premonition
gregg is in my dreams every night
I felt bad for Nathan. It seemed like the audience was just laughing at everything he said, regardless of whether or not he was trying to be funny. Tim even called out the audience on that at the start.
It's one of the effects of being incredibly dry and having no real barrier between your comedy work and your actual self.
How can you not laugh at everything he says?
@@DannyWilliamH yeah i agree his char he plays isnt that much different then his actual self. but i think it was ment to be that way
he sounds like Bert from Ernie
Art Vandelay Bert from Ernie would be a good show
very annoyed no-one has mentioned the running time of the fillm. it should be in the description!!
2 hours 9 minutes. They say it pretty early on
And the year!
Thanks for filming this. Justice for the Electric Sun 19 needs be done!!
20, you mean.
Thanks for recording this!
This is my favorite Q&A of all time.
Why are they laughing at everything Nathan says? Lmao
Thank you for posting btw
Because Nathan is a god damn legend
@@RossStern Who's this Natanh fella?
@@NobodyCaresALot some tv guy, has nothingn to do with movies
i don’t think nathan fielder tim heidecker and cinema buff gregg turkington should legally be allowed to be in the same room
all the America heads out there support Tim Heidecker
I can't believe they're not attacking Josh Lordon when he's sitting right there
BIGGEST RAT IN ORANGE COUNTY
Nathan Fielder laughing at 35:05. Pigs flew.
So we finally see Nathan again
24:13 that smiles slowly creeping through :))
Nathan doing an interview with Tim - suddenly so much starts making sense.
Tim produced Nathan for you
We need justice for the Delgados
Woah… I’m ten seconds in and very excited
Was the audience all high like wtf why were they laughing at everything
I think I’m paying way too much attention to who’s crossing (or not crossing) their legs like whom and when.
I thought this might feature more of Gregg Turkington "as himself," but he remains a man of mystery -- far more than Tim, who has appeared numerous times "out of character". Or maybe I'm not doing a good search. Anyway, it was interesting, and thanks for uploading it.
The best we can get is Gregg on Tom Green Live with the Great Mike Hickey interviewing him. Nothing has yet to outdo that.
@@NobodyCaresALot Thanks, I will look for that.

Titans of comedy
I hope this is genuinely a comedy bang bang reference
I wish Tim was my older brother.
i enjoy dr.san's powder called simply "relax"
how do so many people who can't tell when they are joking or not be big enough fans to go to an early screening with a Q&A
Exactly! I've always been really confused by the amount of Tim's fandom that don't actually understand the guy's comedy or that he's really just a normal guy and instead think everything is an episode of Tim and Eric.
+Sleep Walk. They’re definitely out-of-‘Character’ here. If you can’t distinguish between that and just normal quipping and banter, then it will always be complicated for you. Granted, I didn’t watch all of the video, but the first couple of minutes are exactly that. With the amount of exposure Tim Heidecker (and Eric Wareheim, I suppose) possesses Today, you are far less likely to see him ‘In-Character’ during regular or promotional interviews. Now, and in the future. I’ve definitely observed that a lot more in the past 3 or 4 years.
@@gartgartsman478 with tim it sort of makes sense because they went YEARS only doing public stuff in character and only very recently has he dropped the character and does stuff as himself very blatantly.
Man it’s such a shame that the audience kept laughing even when Tim specifically said Nathan isn’t doing a bit just because of his tone and delivery. Like it genuinely pissed me off and this was so good but I just had to stop watching
Shocked that no one yelled out " SHRIIIIIIIIM!"
I CAN'T HEAR ANY OF THE AUDIENCE'S QUESTIONS
I only care about the actors in the movie and the running time tbh is Tom cruise in the movie ?
BDE x TBE 💥
too much irony in one room
3 bags of pop from me
pre covid times...
it feels so strange
hahahah d'souza movies
I was reading an article about Nathan the other day and apparently, when Tim heard Nathan was getting his own show, he was like "THAT guy's getting his own show? But he's not funny!". He seemed to get it by Oct 2019.
his production company produced Nathan for You

Some of the whitest laughter Ive ever heard. Snorts and all
fucking wypipo!
I really hated the movie so much and it made me so sad and I was so disappointed but I have no one to talk to about it
slowfuse What was disappointing about it?
sounds like asshat business man fielder got to tim and tim attached too many bells and whistles to it.
personally, i still havent seen it
Nathan is clearly funnier than all of them. You can see Tim seething that the audience laughed for nathan but not him
Notputting Mynamehere you simply do not see that
Tim was so pissed but kept unconsciously mimicking Nathan's body language and speech, lolllll
I'm here for Gregg. Tim dug his own grave being friends with Eric the ephebophile.
nathan fielder stinks
