This was my all time favorite game and made me want a f355. Almost brings tears to my eyes seeing and hearing actual game play. Man what a good time to play video games
Great driving man, the game was so ahead of its time and still one of the best racing games you can buy for a console, psychics are brilliant, sadly cause of its difficulty it's not often liked, but if you know how to drive it's a brilliant experience
Arcade hardware are always ahead of time than console until around 2006 they decided to cut cost by using the average pc hardware. This particular games use SEGA Naomi Cluster up to at least 4 motherboards making it 4x more powerful than just 1 motherboard
Saw this in one of the Indonesian arcades long ago, instantly wanted to try it, never regretted going full simulator even if I spin a lot. I love that game and I will remember it forever as my spark of inspiration to sim racing. ^^
That's crazy ! have seen the hours pass mastering the f355, many did not have the same patience and determination, this game is so FUN while being extremely realistic that it is possible to drift all over the circuit; you are lucky to have that at home! enjoy, I imagine a good evening with friends. For me, I'm happy to play on Demul with some lag;)
I played this back in the arcade days, damn good game which was super loud that the seat was shaking from the volume. It also got me into buying a Dreamcast to play the game at home and not long after that game ON the DC, the DC became my favourite console (Still is today 2020)
I had the opportunity to play a cabinet like that in an amusement park; despite having the dreamcast version on which I spent many hours mastering the game, it was a speechless experience. There are not any other games on the market, even today, and any gearbox peripheral like that (maybe in the super-professional market). If I had 1 of 3 desires, the first one would have this cabinet at home. I have a lot of envy for your cabinet LOL
Like an examiner once said to my pupil during a driving test: "are you afraid that your gear stick will get stolen?" You can go faster with both hands on the wheel! At least I do when I played this game in full simulation mode. However, how much I adored this game, this is nothing like the real deal I'm afraid. These days there are way better simulators on the market. Still, if I could buy this thing, I would. So much fun!
I wouldn't call it a full race simulator but it's definitely a very realistic game especially for arcade machine standards (not something you would expect from Sega AM2). Big classic
I find it astounding, ambitious and totally "SEGA" that this game, much less in any cabinet form--much less a Deluxe--even exists. This is the furthest thing from Arcade and the purist form of Simulation. This game is HARD, incredibly demanding and has freakishly good A.I. You need to literally know how to race--RACE--not drive, to get anywhere this this title. The game was meant for people who already own an F355 and owning this game has taught me I very likely could not handle driving a real one without committing Complete and Total Mass Destruction. Admirable display, exellent skill and beautiful cabinet. You're a brilliant driver. It still begs the question: Why does this game even exist? How? Why? This could never be successful as anything more than a novelty in an arcade and I imagine many were simply discarded after everyone began to naturally avoid these cabs and run towards Daytona, Scud or anything else. This game is that miserable and demanding to play; THIS is the true driving simulator on PS2. Amazing performance, I can't imagine how many days were spent perfecting your skill. You're probably one of few people on Earth that can actually play this hyper-physics nightmare of a game. Bravo! Great video!
A real Ferrari would be fun also, but this simulator is a lot of fun because you can experience what it is like to push a F355 to the limits without worrying about cracking up a $100k+ car or dying in the process :)
Hey duke I am a fan of your channel and lifestyle. I strive to own the toys you do but may I suggest you try gran turismo 6 on the playstation 3 with a force feedback steering wheel and pedals with a shifter!
yeah he's set the game mode to 'Grand Prix' in the service menu. Its a nice feature that sega included so the machine could be used for special events.

Nice driving man! Awesome simulator by Yu Suzuki the best!
This was the dopest arcade i played as a kid. I still think about it everytime i see a 355. Thats the reason i searched for it now. So cool.
IMO, the most realistic driving simulator. Real sensation of speed and physics.
Awesome drive and awesome game. Thank you for the presentation 🙂
The feeling of tire traction in this game was unbelievable. No other game has replicated it.

Bravo! Great video!
my man managed to set the best timing on last 16th lap!
When I'm rich I want four of these dx machines lined up in my game room
Broo this is awesome thanks a lot I loved
use heel and toe to match the revs and down shifting
Better than having an actual Ferrari in the garage I reckon so. Especially as you have to steal it.
A real Ferrari would be fun also, but this simulator is a lot of fun because you can experience what it is like to push a F355 to the limits without worrying about cracking up a $100k+ car or dying in the process :)
you did great. i watched the whole race.
Yoooooooo I haven't seen one of these since I was in middle school

how its possibile that a sound of a 1995 game Is Better than 2023 games...
It's from 1999. It sounds good because it's a Ferrari flat plane crank V8. There are great sounding Ferraris in modern racing sims too.
As a kid all I could do is drive around the Indianapolis nothing else
took too long to shift into 5th @ 5:08
Long beach is my place
