  • Action Pact of Sacramento, California manufactured the Max Pact impact sprinkler and even held patents related to it. The actual sprinkler inside the can looks like a safe-t-lawn impact to me (the body, lever, and trip mechanism look the part), so I wonder whether they had some sort of relationship. I’d never heard of this sprinkler before my friend Ben in Ripon, CA sent it to me. Would love to see your thoughts on it in the comments. Thanks for watching!

Nice pop up, another brand that's new to me. Cool slow closing top when turned off.

Agree. I also just got a Weathermatic impact rotor that looks very similar to this.

I have never heard of this sprinkler before. It certainly is an interesting one. It kinda does have similarities from Safe-T-Lawn. It’s a quick movement sprinkler and covers well! I find it interesting how it’s a slow retraction back into the can when finished. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. I can tell you it took a ton of digging to find the tiny bit of information I did about the company.

These are so unique! I have a full circle above ground model that is dual nozzle, they simply cut the arm so it wouldn’t hit the rear nozzle.

the popup height is insane for an impact

This one is interesting… it seems to address some of the problems of open case rotors, ie here in central Florida, st Augustine grass grows into the open case and interferes with the trip mechanism. (As in, it’ll be a much smaller arc than desired)

Good point! I suspect it was the Florida company Safe-T-Lawn that actually made those.

Very interesting that this operates and run much like the Rain Bird Mini and Maxi Paw models. basically the 2045 sprinkler head. One of the things I know is different is the weight in the tail end of the arm is horizontal versus vertical like the RB 2045. The arm design though and body again is much the same as the Rain Bird design. This model internal head is similar to those available from china as I have seen in those available. I have a number of canister models and need to compare and test them and that will come eventually in my tests. Thank you for sharing this video.

Thanks. My gut is that a company out of Florida called Safe-t-Lawn made if for them back in the 1970’s, but I have no proof of that.

@@antiquesprinklers I certainly cannot confirm or deny this truth. I would love to see a real close up of this sprinkler as it appears to be much like one that I purchased from China. Time will tell.
