surprisingly, the ds5i still does not function as an alarm clock, even though customers have been asking for that since the early model. it would also be nice if you could be notified when someone tries to open it. their bigger vault safes have that alert to your phone via wifi, but this one does not. since this is meant to stay at home and not portable, that would make sense to have that wifi notification on any attempts at trying to open it.
