I will definitely be picking this up. Everyone is complaining about the price, but I think it’s the nicest nightstand pistol safe available. To me it doesn’t need to be like Fort Knox, I just need it to be safe enough that my 4 year old can not get to it! Looking forward to the purchase!
For the price it should have everything included as well as heavier steel. Fort Knox pistol safe is 10 or 12 Guage steel. Needs alarm clock too. If I pay 500 bucks for something...it's going to have everything I need.
One of the things I wish they did is to add a function to block the touch screen. I don’t know how many times I have touched the screen by accident and mess the way I like it
With the Vaultek 2.0 app it requires an “unlock pattern.” If you forget your pattern, how do you reset? With many apps you can have then send you a reset password feature. Is there such a thing with reset pattern? Thank you!
Off topic, love the clock on your iPhone 13 Lock Screen. Can you please tell me what app you are using that has that look? Thanks! And thanks for all the detailed creative reviews you do!
This is absolute gadget-geek bait to begin with. The whole selling point is the electronics and touchscreen. The dissenters are right. If they are going to add shiny electronics to a basic gun vault, which is CLEARLY intended to replace your alarm clock on your nightstand, then it should include…..an alarm. My $25 Casio has an alarm. There’s no excuse here.
@@JediMindTrcks You’re missing my point. A good lockbox this size is about $250-300. That means you are paying ~$200 plus for the electronics (display with clock, charging pad, Bluetooth, ports). For $200, on a gadget that’s intended to replace your nightstand alarm clock, no alarm is a fail.
@ not trying to argue, I see your point. But I’m just thinking most people have a smart phone and use that as their alarm. I know I do and most of the people I know do. To each their own. Cheers.
looks like Vaultek lying about products?16 now 18 look to me they don't know nothing about own products what a junk company, thank you for pointing that
$500, does it massage you and cook your breakfast also, rofl. As with the usual Vaultek trash i would love to see it survive being dropped on the ground and actually not pop open like most of them. But doubt they will with this fancy looking thing.
@@ChrispyThings Instead of making their pistol safes more secure they seem more concerned adding more gizmo's to it. At $500 no one's probably going to do the cement ground drop/slam test. Also like the other commenter said until the lockpickinglawyer does his thing it's a fail like all the Vaultek products he's reviewed so far.
Nobody should buy a small safe like this if it's for anything more than keeping your kids out of it. None of them, and I mean NONE, are keeping a thief out.
I really like this video and I'm not even a gun guy. Thanks for not being annoying. Appreciate channels like this!!
Thanks! I appreciate the comment
This thing is almost perfect! Only thing missing is an actual working alarm for waking up
An alarm would nice but honestly I’d probably just use my phone anyway since its on top charging

Ah good point. Maybe they can add that in the app with a firmware update
So does this thing not connect to wifi? Because how will you know if the safe is tampered with unless you're within Bluetooth range?
Is it a fast charger?

I don’t know about resetting the app. I’d contact Vaultek direct if this happened to you

It’s not an app. Just a background I found online and I changed the clock color and look in the normal customize settings on the Home Screen.
Could you still use the app if you're away from home?
Price point with no WiFi is crazy
Dude the price, Yikes! 😳
People on here complaining that it doesn’t come with its own alarm clock are crazy…you can use your phone. I just installed mine and it’s great.

@ good luck trying to get a gun in your 25 dollar Casio alarm clock.

imagine paying $500 for a phone charger clock draw. And yeah, totally just looks like a normal 2 foot long alarm clock.
Yeah imagine…
Seems like you have it all figured out huh?
Hard pass for $500. Nice concept though.

I believe it was a misprint on the box because I received a pre launch version.

@@toolman4816to be fair, there isn’t a lock he’s gotten his hands on and hasn’t gotten into, and he recommended vaultek safes when reviewing them.
Still trash
Why?
@@ChrispyThings no alarm, no speaker, no radio, if its trying to replace my nightstand shit then it needs to do it. not to mention.....way overpriced.

no one should buy this until the lockpickinglawyer gets his hands on it cuz a lot of these digital fingerprint safes are trash
