- The dashcam can do dual front and rear 1080p or it can do a single 4k front video. It also has a awesome gps feature that allows you to see direction , speed, lat & long along with a route on google maps. This is a pretty sweet dashcam that I would recommend taking a look at.

I have been looking for about 2 years for a good combo front/rear cam system. When I bought my Viper it had a Blackvue installed with parking/battery saver and although I shopped - they are prohibitively expensive because I am installing them on three more of my cars. This seem like it will be perfect and your review kinda sealed my final decision. Thank you!
So far you have explained it better than others.
Great job. Like the others have stated, you have done a great review. I ordered mine right after seeing your review. Again great job and keep up the great work
Thank you for your support Marty
Very thorough review - thanks for making and posting it!
Your welcome Tom, thank you for your support.
Thanks for your pro tips, I installed a lot of driving recorder but never thought of that.
Ok, I see you taking that red light
Great call on the screen protector. I was wondering about ruining my rear tint when I remove the rear adhesive plate when I sell the car or just want to take it off...
I can't see that holding up thought the winter/summer cycle thought. Would be great if it does because my rear window is tinted too. maybe the rear cam is light enough it wont be an issue w/ the screen protector
ok, question. 3 years later.........how did the screen protectors work out?
Thanks for great review, love it. Just one question please. Do you have to pay monthly or yearly to be able to view the recording with gps of the camera?. Thanks again
No, it’s all local and there is no fee.
Thank you for the great review. With the way you have the rear camera mounted, do you know if the camera can swivel to monitor the back seat area? Looking to monitor my dogs while I am driving and with the safety partition installed I can't see them. Thanks!
Hello fellow COSr. Nice review. I drive many of the same roads so it's great to see them the way I'm going to see them. I like the pro tip as well. I'm trying to figure out the best semi permanent install for my Durango. I have a concern that the cable won't be long enough to get to the rear and then with enough slack to allow the tailgate to rise; may have to use the front only. One question though...do both cameras offer the motion detector? Thanks again.
@ 11:07 you clearly ran the red light
sounds like an argument against having a dashcam
Thank for the videos, just wondering do we have any ios app to view on mobile or any wifi connectivity for the same ???
Will the screen protector hold the weight in high heat? I live in south Texas. 100+ outside means over 140 inside when it’s parked
Dude, you ran a red light at 11:05
Let’s say he was engaged 😂
Didn't know that you are from the future. 2020/08/11 date. Nice review.
12:20 so basically you can be found or discovered as a possible culprit or suspect if there was an accident or problem, or even a serial 'offender' if they search a particular area and weed out those that dont fit until there is only 1 or a few remaining to look at.
IS the front camera somehow adjustable up-down-left-right? Diffferent cars have different angle of the windshield
What are the dimensions of the front and rear camera? The screen would be hard to see once mounted if you have a raked windscreen.
Great review! I got the impression that vantrue is _cheating_ both with 4k and with 60fps. I have a different model and I see the quality of you dashcam is as bad as that of mine. These are never true 4k or 60fps with other resolutions.
NO REAL 4K FOR DASH CAM RIGHT NOW 2020
The super high resolution only applies if you use a front-facing cam only. If you use both in combo, the resolution of the front drops to accommodate the rear cam. I know it sucks but still the better product available these days.
Got this for my truck works great, only draw back it does not have wifi to download videos unlike my cameras on my motorcycle and helment, you have to take out card each time and insert into computer
What SD card are you using and where did you get the square screen protectors?
I like your video and I purchased the same camera - Vantrue S1 Front & Rear Dashcam With GPS but I can't seem to download the viewer from Vantrue's website. I have temporarily removed the anti virus and sill no good. I have a Windows 10 computer. Any sugesstions? I getting ready to return the camera.
Thanks, Joe
Here you go, I downloaded the file from the website and I’m sharing it through my Dropbox. Enjoy www.dropbox.com/s/ndxs20ymrow2j7g/Cardv%20Player.rar?dl=0
@@HighTechCheck Man that's awesome. That's above and beyond. And you don't even work for Vantrue.
I know its been a few years since this review, but do you have a link of the screen protectors you used?
My camera is showing a clock in the middle of the screen and won’t go away. Also, my audio recording isn’t coming on anymore. Is there a way that I can check for the speed because that doesn’t come up either?
Good job man! Can you do live tracking?
What screen protector did you use? The ones I have for my phone have an adhesive.
Just a plain flat plastic screen protector will do.
Make sure it’s not the flimsy rubbery feeling ones though. The one I had was for the Nintendo 3ds.
are you able to see the other cars license plate on your side. looks blury to me
11:06 runs red light
Are able go view and download video directly on your cellphone?
What about the coordinates? If I try to type it in google maps - I always land in the desert xD
can u just keep the rear dassh cam on, instead of having the front one running?just have both set up, only want the rear view cam to running
Unfortunately the front camera must be used because it powers and controls the rear cam.
Hi I know this video is old. But Im thinking of getting this camera set. What resolution and FPS do you recommend? Thanks!
I would recommend 4K but 1080p minimum and 24-60 FPS
@@HighTechCheck Thanks for the reply! Does this only plug in via cigarette lighter? Or does it plug into the code reader plug.
Too bad that it didn't use the g-force sensor to sense slowing down and switch down from 4K to turn on the dual 1080 cameras, or use a protocol off the GPS to sense the slowing down. Most rearenders happen at or approaching intersections
s there a Wi-Fi or mobile application?
excellent video!!
How long will it keep the correct time if it's not powered. I only drive my car once or twice a week.
It is GPS enabled. It will follow GPS time so you will always be in sync with the correct time.
question is can i stick the secondary camera on the front windshield face looking and not the rear windshield
Can you view the rear camera when you’re driving, like a backup camera?
Yes - you can switch to full screen front or full screen rear if you choose to.
Only way to fix this is buying a 8 inch mirror dashcam & connect it to a rear camera as backup
How do you get the videos? Does it have any app?
Great presentation!
Thank you for your support Garry.
How do you stitch the video together so you can see the front and the back video at the same time
Will this work on the rear windows of a pickup?
I see now it should work.
hello how can i connect with mobile app s1 dash cam ?
Can I conect the cam with my phone?
I could not read any license plates?
Does it come with sd card?
No it does not
The quality of number plate recognition does not appear to have improved at all. linus did a great video on dashcams and basically the conclusion that pretty much all dashcams at the moment are a waste of money and do not deliver what they are promising.
No parking buffer 😔
NO Wi-Fi
Video quality sucks. I rather get a129 pro
Why not just buy two cameras. Same or less price and don’t have to run a wite
Venture cam !
What happened to Wi-Fi why no Wi-Fi?????
If you put the camera on your rear sliding window you won’t be able to open your window without knocking your camera off.
Unless your rear window slides over the glass like mine does.
U cant see shit at night. Especialy a license plate would not be readable
is there a Wi-Fi or mobile application?
