Great video. Just got mine today for my F250 Super Duty. Saw your video and immediately bought. Within 3 days of purchasing truck, someone at Lowes hit the back tailgate and reverse camera. I immediately got on researching best options and found your video. 3 days later I'm about to install thanks to your information! Definitely a polarized lens a must!
By the way, this camera has a park mode so it definitely has the capability for 24 hour surveillance and recording. However, you have to use the hardwire kit with it. Fortunately my F250 has the Aux switches and easy to locate to add the necessary wiring.
I just wanted to comment on your production value/quality on this. First video of yours I’ve ever watched but with the switching between the dash cam, camera, phone footage, audio, etc… looks like it was very involved process to edit this and it’s fantastic! Thanks for that, Oh and the video was great too in general :)
My first purchase for my new truck was a dash cam, this one looks awesome 😎. Small bit of advice if you have a crash that’s your fault “It Happens” get rid of the footage 😂
Funny, I have a friend that was in a road rage accident. The guy had a dash camera and police asked for the footage, but he claimed the camera wasn't working(likely deleted the footage because he's dishonest). Funny enough someone else caught the incident on their camera and the guy is now sitting in jail for reckless driving and assault. Dumb ass didn't think someone else would have a camera too. 😂
I bought the F7NP and unfortunately discovered that it only really works with the associated power supply. If you drive an electric vehicle, there is no cigarette lighter, only USB-C charging points. If you connect the dashcam to these and try to supply it with voltage, it unfortunately doesn't respond. And since this is a company vehicle, I'm not allowed to add anything about the vehicle's technology (Redtiger F7N dashcam hardwire kit). So no function without a cigarette lighter.
Cool dashcam video. That puts out a pretty crisp video. We put one in our rig, not too long ago. The vantrue N4 is what we have. It really does give you a little extra comfort/relief knowing it's there.
I know this is a older video. I wanted to know are you able to see and read the plates of cars in both directions? How is it at night time? Also thanks for the video!!
You can see plates in the front camera. I haven't checked the rear camera. Night time is actually really good. We were surprised. With the lens cap, it really cuts down on the light glare.
I had a Ventrue dascam, which was held with a suction cup and kept falling off. I don't want anything to do with suction cup cameras anymore. Now I have the Garmin 67W dashcam, which sticks to the window and a magnet that holds it in place.
If you have a RAM (and I think you do) and you want to plug in the hard wire into the fuse box (which I think you will) you'll need some kind of mini to micro fuse adapter (if you know of one, let me know), I'm still looking for that. Also, the rear camera cable length is about 2-3ft to short and my RAM is standard bed, not long bed.
I cut the cable and lengthened it but I'm handy with a soldering iron, shrink wrap, wiring shit & tools. Unless you aren't (which you probably ain't) redtiger sells a 33 foot extension for around $20 on their website. That's at least twice as long as the default that comes with it. They also sell a 50 footer if you install it to a pull behind RV or something.
Hello, the cigarette lighter socket in my vehicle works even if the vehicle is turned off. If I connect the camera there, will the parking mode work without purchasing an additional kit?

I had a sync drive from T-Mobile & I can’t connect it to Wi-Fi. Also how does it do sitting in direct sunlight? My BlackVue front camera doesn’t record sometimes I think due to heat. I’m considering this cam or a lte that can take a SIM card.
Thank you for the video. I am trying to decide whether to buy one of these. Did I understand correctly: if the unit is not hard wired, you have to turn the camera on and off every time?
I would recommend removing it from the dash or making sure you put a windshield sun visor up when parked. In direct sunlight, it can overheat but I think that will be true for any camera.

Ummmmm, why would you record 4k video and then upload it at 1080p?
The dash cam is in 4k so you can zoom in if needed and catch details you may have otherwise miss. It's not optimized for producing video content.
But the most asked question: can you read license plates on playback???
Thanks for the review. I'll give it a miss thanks, it can't capture clear writing, such as signs, plates etc i.e, @8:17 @8:28
so no one installed the rear camara
We haven't yet but plan to in the near future.
@@1StrangeAdventure I was trying to find a clear video how to install the rear cam but no luck yet, thanks for replying !!!
Gotcha. It plugs into the top of the front camera. So where ever you mount it, you need to be able to get it back to the front camera.
@@1StrangeAdventure I don't how to mount it to the outside of the car in the back, how to wire goes and stuff, cause the rear cam has to be wired to the outside and its waterproof, stick is inside won't work.
