    Great video. Just got mine today for my F250 Super Duty. Saw your video and immediately bought. Within 3 days of purchasing truck, someone at Lowes hit the back tailgate and reverse camera. I immediately got on researching best options and found your video. 3 days later I'm about to install thanks to your information! Definitely a polarized lens a must!

      By the way, this camera has a park mode so it definitely has the capability for 24 hour surveillance and recording. However, you have to use the hardwire kit with it. Fortunately my F250 has the Aux switches and easy to locate to add the necessary wiring.

    I just wanted to comment on your production value/quality on this. First video of yours I’ve ever watched but with the switching between the dash cam, camera, phone footage, audio, etc… looks like it was very involved process to edit this and it’s fantastic! Thanks for that,
    Oh and the video was great too in general :)

      Funny, I have a friend that was in a road rage accident. The guy had a dash camera and police asked for the footage, but he claimed the camera wasn't working(likely deleted the footage because he's dishonest). Funny enough someone else caught the incident on their camera and the guy is now sitting in jail for reckless driving and assault. Dumb ass didn't think someone else would have a camera too. 😂

    I bought the F7NP and unfortunately discovered that it only really works with the associated power supply. If you drive an electric vehicle, there is no cigarette lighter, only USB-C charging points. If you connect the dashcam to these and try to supply it with voltage, it unfortunately doesn't respond. And since this is a company vehicle, I'm not allowed to add anything about the vehicle's technology (Redtiger F7N dashcam hardwire kit). So no function without a cigarette lighter.

    If you have a RAM (and I think you do) and you want to plug in the hard wire into the fuse box (which I think you will) you'll need some kind of mini to micro fuse adapter (if you know of one, let me know), I'm still looking for that. Also, the rear camera cable length is about 2-3ft to short and my RAM is standard bed, not long bed.

Unless you aren't (which you probably ain't) redtiger sells a 33 foot extension for around $20 on their website. That's at least twice as long as the default that comes with it. They also sell a 50 footer if you install it to a pull behind RV or something.

    Personally I’d recommend the Viofo A139 with the Starvis 2 chip. It has _actual_ 4k, unlike this one, and the video is far, far less grainy. You can even clearly see license plates. It’s only $30 more than this one, too

    This thing has flash memory for all your settings. And that includes of course, wifi. Just leave it ON. Unfortunately you did NOT go through the process on the phone of connecting via settings, wifi, etc. I suppose that's where you enter the default PW (12345678). You also didn't have the rear camera connected and by default BOTH show up in the little monitor there. the rear camera shows up in the top starboard quadrant (but its pretty small). I think you can turn it off though.
    If you actually need to show an accident to a LEO its gonna be a bit involved using a phone as this app is NOT very intuitive. I need to work on that. You can also connect the entire camera to a USBC charge cord that's connected to your computer. Or you can remove the microSD card and read it that way. There's a directory called "cardV" and inside that it shows all the files separately under directories for "F", "R". Set your file length to 5 minutes (the default is 1 minute). I have the 128gb card (by sandisk) and each file on the forward camera is about a gigabyte so you have quite a bit of time before write over begins. yeah about 21 hours of recording before the rewrite.

  • @nipun45

    So you have to manually turn on the camera every time (if not hardwired) ? Thats a big Con.

    • @1StrangeAdventure
      @1StrangeAdventure  9 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, unless you hardwire or have a vehicle that stops supplying power to that outlet. It will turn on and off if it does.

    • @1StrangeAdventure

      The dash cam is in 4k so you can zoom in if needed and catch details you may have otherwise miss. It's not optimized for producing video content.
