Great video. Just got mine today for my F250 Super Duty. Saw your video and immediately bought. Within 3 days of purchasing truck, someone at Lowes hit the back tailgate and reverse camera. I immediately got on researching best options and found your video. 3 days later I'm about to install thanks to your information! Definitely a polarized lens a must!

By the way, this camera has a park mode so it definitely has the capability for 24 hour surveillance and recording. However, you have to use the hardwire kit with it. Fortunately my F250 has the Aux switches and easy to locate to add the necessary wiring.

Nice video & truck. Watch your video last night at work and decided this was the one. I just received my new F7NP dual cam early this morning. This is intended for my new 24 Camry Hybrid LE that’s in transit. Should be received it in a couple of weeks. In the meantime I installed the front cam in my 06 Tundra SRD. I’m not going to install the rear because the window slides down to open fully. Of course it only comes with the 32gb micro card. I’m going to purchase the 258, but what special sd micro card do I get for this cam? I read it needs to be a class 10? Anything else I need to know before I purchase it? Thx.

The guy had a dash camera and police asked for the footage, but he claimed the camera wasn't working(likely deleted the footage because he's dishonest). Funny enough someone else caught the incident on their camera and the guy is now sitting in jail for reckless driving and assault. Dumb ass didn't think someone else would have a camera too. 😂

Question on the built in Wi-Fi. Do you need to have a Wi-Fi service in your truck? I have BlackVue 900plus & I can never find the Wi-Fi ip anymore. I had a sync drive from T-Mobile & I can’t connect it to Wi-Fi. Also how does it do sitting in direct sunlight? My BlackVue front camera doesn’t record sometimes I think due to heat. I’m considering this cam or a lte that can take a SIM card.

If you have a RAM (and I think you do) and you want to plug in the hard wire into the fuse box (which I think you will) you'll need some kind of mini to micro fuse adapter (if you know of one, let me know), I'm still looking for that. Also, the rear camera cable length is about 2-3ft to short and my RAM is standard bed, not long bed.

I cut the cable and lengthened it but I'm handy with a soldering iron, shrink wrap, wiring shit & tools. Unless you aren't (which you probably ain't) redtiger sells a 33 foot extension for around $20 on their website. That's at least twice as long as the default that comes with it. They also sell a 50 footer if you install it to a pull behind RV or something.

    • @1StrangeAdventure

Depends on how you install it. If it’s just sitting up there plugged in to the top of your dash and you don’t go through the trouble of hiding wires, then it would be simple to move. If you want to hide wires, I would suggest a second wire kit/ mount. The camera removes easily from the mount so it would be pretty easy if you had a window mount in both vehicles.

I bought the F7NP and unfortunately discovered that it only really works with the associated power supply. If you drive an electric vehicle, there is no cigarette lighter, only USB-C charging points. If you connect the dashcam to these and try to supply it with voltage, it unfortunately doesn't respond. And since this is a company vehicle, I'm not allowed to add anything about the vehicle's technology (Redtiger F7N dashcam hardwire kit). So no function without a cigarette lighter.

This thing has flash memory for all your settings. And that includes of course, wifi. Just leave it ON. Unfortunately you did NOT go through the process on the phone of connecting via settings, wifi, etc. I suppose that's where you enter the default PW (12345678). You also didn't have the rear camera connected and by default BOTH show up in the little monitor there. the rear camera shows up in the top starboard quadrant (but its pretty small). I think you can turn it off though.
If you actually need to show an accident to a LEO its gonna be a bit involved using a phone as this app is NOT very intuitive. I need to work on that. You can also connect the entire camera to a USBC charge cord that's connected to your computer. Or you can remove the microSD card and read it that way. There's a directory called "cardV" and inside that it shows all the files separately under directories for "F", "R". Set your file length to 5 minutes (the default is 1 minute). I have the 128gb card (by sandisk) and each file on the forward camera is about a gigabyte so you have quite a bit of time before write over begins. yeah about 21 hours of recording before the rewrite.
