In 490 BC Pheidippides, an ancient Greek runner ran 26 miles from Marathon to Athens with the vital news that the Greeks won a critical battle with the Persians. He ran non stop, entered Athens screaming the welcome news before falling dead of exhaustion. Being motivated is everything.
It's usually better to take action and learn as you go, than trying to learn everything you can before taking action. "You can't learn to drive in a parked car". I always have to remind myself to try and take some action, and to not just get lost in "tutorial hell" learning and learning stuff but not really building anything or getting work done.
Man, I just played this video 6 times in a row. Just the message I needed... We might as well start and work on our dreams and take care of our responsabilities no matter what. Wishing the best to anyone watching and reading this
I like the ending particularly..I call active time -'yang time' - time of action, grit, forceful purposefulness' and down time 'yin time' - time of cooling off, letting chips fall where they may, letting ideas come'...Going too far on former leads to burn-out..Going too far on later leads to passivity and stagnation. Key is to catching yourself on which extreme you are on and balancing it out..for long term sustainable pursuit of purpose.
