The play "Oba Koso" was aired on NTV Ibadan, now NTA Ibadan in the late 70s, between 1976-1979. Many other great plays were often aired then. I'm not sure those tapes were preserved. You can imagine this documentary was not done by Nigerians. Yet we can do it. We must keep records. Thanks for uploading. This made my day!

These are the people that really suffered for theatre and nollywood that the present ones are enjoying. The passion was the force that pushed them , not money and fame that is making some people join nollywood now, May his soul continue to rest in peace.

Although I was too young then to know and appreciate this great man's work, nonetheless, watching this documentary really demonstrates what a great talent this man was. Above all, I so much like his diction and his good command of English language. May God continue to uphold his entire household and all what he has left behind.

Goose pumps all over me watching this and making me remember my primary school days. This things still aired so well on NTA Ibadan in the 80s and early 90s.

We should simply remembered them to continue from where they retired on our cultures. Every cultures are important but you just need to promote yours if you believed that. Instead of focusing on the wonderful innovation and creativity of the man my fellow country men are talking about his good command of borrowed English language. He was just speaking English for the audience the video was supposed to serve. Back then people were proud of who they are.
We are not talking about the originality his art is trying to portray even after being brainwashed in the church he went back to his roots and preserved masterpieces for generations to come.
He didn't call yoruba a tribe like we demean ourselves today and both men and women maintained their natural beautiful looks that most of us are ashamed today.
