Thank you for this video. I started making cookies like 3 years ago. I'm not an expert because I only make them for specific occasions, normally Christmas, easter or for someone's birthday in my family. People are being asking me if I'll make them for sell, but still makes me nervous. They said they are beautiful cookies and they look professional, but still I'm afraid to take the next step.
It's definitely difficult to take that step but if people are asking it's because they've seen your work and think you are more than ready to sell them (cause they clearly want them 😁) so take that as a huge compliment ❤️
@@LittleCookieCo I'm going to try. One of the person, and this going to sound crazy. I had a doctor appointment by a virtual phone call, she saw me that I was talking to her but that I was working, so she asked me what I was doing and I show her. She right away she asked me to do some for her son class (this was Easter) I told that I was not an expert and Easter was in 3 days, then she told me I'm going to give a lot time on advance to please make some cookies for her son's birthday in September, she even sent me the pictures! I was in shock, I couldn't believe it. I have never in my life heard a doctor give their private number ☺️. So I may have to start practicing. Tomorrow I'm going to start baking for mother's day. I'm planning to make like a flower bouquet for my mom and mother in law. Thank you, so much for giving me such a beautiful advice. Many blessings for you and your family.

Your videos and information are so great, fun to watch and helpful. I just gave it a try 2 weeks ago for Christmas. It was so fun , and I got compliments even though I was just starting out. I was just wondering... (if you don't mind sharing ) are you an artist? I think you clearly have an artistic eye for color and design.
I've been decorating cookies for four years now. I'm a quick learner on the techniques, but I'm not an artist or visual person. I rely on copying content creators and this has been my biggest struggle. Do other cookie decorators feel the same? I'm a very good cookie decorator, but the artist block is real for me. Any suggestions or similar stories are appreciated.
This is exactly me. It is really hard for me to come up with ideas. I do the best sets when someone gives me a theme and inspiration pictures and when I don't have that and they say do whatever it takes me so long to come up with ideas. I usually save pics of cookies I like or if they have details I like and I try to combine elements of a lot of them. Some poeple are amazingly creative and others are like us and that's ok too!
This is exactly how I feel!!! I just take parts of different designs that I see and combine them or change the color to a design that I see. I'm with you though!

What kind of dehydrator would you recommend. I’m looking to buy one to help in the drying method. Saw some on Amazon; would ordering one from there be safe? Love your videos!! ❤
The one I use has been discontinued now I believe, but buying off Amazon would be fine! As long as you have a temperature control (as you don't want to make it too hot for your cookies) and a fan I don't think you can go wrong. I use a 10 tray one, it's large but works well because the trays are too close together for my cookies so I use every 2nd tray.
