i would never use exotic gear for raids, ascended at the bare minimum, but if you want exotic gear you can buy a full set in wvw from a merchant for dirt cheap and pick any stats you want
Ultimately I agree with you that Ascended gear is ideal for endgame PvE. However, Raids are designed so that a squad can clear them in Exotic gear without any major difficulty, so long as the squad performs both encounter mechanics and their roles well - a complete beginner to endgame PvE can begin raiding in Exotics, and upgrade their gear piece-by-piece as they go along.
You really think that 5% performance difference will matter in super powercrept content? Exotic clears with 0 issue on any role, it’s only about mechanics
Hey, i have 9 chars slot for all diff classes and 1 for weekly farm. for the total of 10 What's the point in having 11 or more? I see people having 20-40. Is it only for alt parking? and when I might need more than 10?
Mostly for alt parking , character variety ( especially in end game since playing one thing might get boring/repetitive ) , Crafting professions, added character storage ( equip your alts with like 20 slot bags and you got yourself a character bank ), etc... those are really what I can think off right now

Although I clarify early in the video's runtime that I intend to address the PvE method exclusively, I would recommend you check out Mukluk's guide (ruclips.net/video/51r3X0QWZWs/видео.html) for an overview of the PvP/WvW methods, although he does not really discuss these from an efficiency perspective.
