Clear, to the point and explained very well. You've earned a sub good sir. GW2 has great content creators but so many of them can't condense their videos and you have to sift through 45mins to find what you need so videos like this are very much appreciated.
great guide, this starter kit is really great, i sold my legendary cause i had most of the accountbound stuff stacked already. 2 things that might help: you can buy obsidian shards for unbound magic, in case you are low on karma and unbound magic is easy to farm with farming winterberries on a few characters per day, good if you are low on karma. When "gambling" for mystic clovers in the mystic forge, always do the recipe for 1 and not the one for 10. While the odds are the same, you are much more likely to get a clover 33% of the time instead of getting super unlucky 3 rolls in a row for example doing 10 at once, doing them 1 by 1 gives you more rolls to even out lucky and unlucky streaks.
A clarification on clover forging: you'll need on average 250 forges, not 231, that data was an estimate at the time that has since been refined. But the loot you get from the non-clover results can include all of the components needed to forge more, so you may need more like 242 of each component to start with and then get around 8 of each to cover the rest. And as you said the other non-clover results from gambling for clovers are really good, you'll get lots of leftover T6 mats that sell for quite a lot.
People completely sleep on winterberry farm for Obsidian shards. If you somehow find yourself lacking karma, farming winterberrys with every alt gets you the obsidian shards in no time.
I agree! Bitterfrost as a whole is one of the best maps and can be solo farmed, too. I usually tend to spend my Unbound Magic on the Magic-warped Bundles from Ember Bay, though. I've gotten quite a few bonus Mystic Clovers that way.
Thanks! Crafting your first Legendary IS a lot, even if you're not a new player anymore. You have the perfect mindset though, doing it piece by piece will make it manageable. The second one usually takes you half the time :)
Random Question on the Mystic Clovers. Lyhr has no limit on how much will sell you, unlike Miyani/Mystic Forge Attendant which is a limit of 10 a week. Is this cheaper then using the Mystic Forge?
The forge will always be cheaper, as it has a roughly 31% chance of giving you an ecto. You spend about 1/3 of the items in the forge, but every failed attempt (as in: you get no clover) will still reward you with other items. Those other items usually partially pay for the Gift of Might/Magic, as a lot of the possible rewards are T6 materials. The most disappointed failed attempts will reward you with a treasure Cache (not as good as the name implies), orichalcum ore, or leather.
Hi, a question about gift of exploration... If i need 4 legendary weapons, I need to do map completion 4 times? Do I need 4 different characters? How does that work? Thanks!
You'll need to do it 2 times, every full map comp awards you with 2 gifts. You will, indeed, need to do this on different characters, as Core Tyria doesn't have the lantern systems that they introduced in EoD/SotO.
Every time the vault refreshes, we get a new one. So the "starter kit 3" should be available in the rewards right now. Consumables can't be bought retroactively. But if you miss any of the cosmetics, you can purchase those through the legacy (3rd tab) 😀
When the Wizard's Vault refreshes in the next quarterly update you'll get your choice of 4 different legendaries. Best guess Anet doesn't want to overwhelm players by giving every single option all at once.
You could make one of these like bifrost and sell it to finance a longbow, for something like that the traders guild would probably be a better option that the auction house.
:D You coudl try to adopt a "steady" rythm of doing 3 maps a day. Some days that'll be your gaming session (frostgorge, some ascalon maps, etc take long), other days that's 30-40 min of work, and would get you a full map comp every 11 days.
It depends, it would probably fund a large part, if not all of your trinkets. So in that sense it might be worth it. The 4 weapons did go down in price, most likely due to the Legendary Kits. Not sure if they'll go back up when the new quarterly update comes out or not.
Hi, I bought the Leggy starter kit from the vault but here is my issue. I already have things like Gift of exploration as I am almost finishing Kraitkin. However, when all the weapons unlocked, lots of items were infilled, which was great. But, others, like Gift of Exploration etc, were not. Does this mean I need to do a full explore again? That would be such a hassle.
Yeah, you'll need 1 Gift of Exploration per Legendary Weapon. When you 100% explore Tyria, you should get 2 Gifts of Exploration every time. If you need tips exploring more efficiently, I actually made a video about that too: ruclips.net/video/n2VObjpWP2w/видео.html

Thank you, make my day to read comments like these :)
This is a great description of a lengthy and detailed process. You've greatly helped simplify this. Thanks for this video.
I'm very happy to read that! It's difficult striking a balance between too much information and not enough for legendaries.

Thank you! And very good points, thanks for sharing them!
This was an awesome guide :D I wish there were more guides like this out there. Would also love to see how the raid and wvw legendaries are crafted
Thank you! I have plans for the Raid armor, but it'll take a while as I need very specific footage :)
Your video is the definition of Quality. Subbed!
Much appreciated!

Great breakdown! I love the new tracking system for leggy crafting! 😁

I think my mind just exploded. This was a lot for a relatively new player :) Will chunk if off piece by piece. Great guide!

Seriously good !! Thank you
FYI just like the special tab missions. the legendary starterkit is only available if you actually own soto.
Thanks for mentioning it! I sometimes get lost what is or isn't available for which versions.
Now you need Jahtnir, not soto. But yes,far point !

Hello, can you maybe make a video on how to set up blish HUD, I can't speak English very well, only with a translator
I was unable to find this starter kit - have they removed it from game?

@@phandrel thanks!
I was hopping to start going for Quip with it but of well ^^
The mod is not listed on Blish HUD, I just checked FYI
If you open Blish Hud in the game, Pathing should be under the Module Repo.
It still is for me, but I'll keep an eye out if anything changes.
Wait I'm confused why is it choice between only those 4 weapons I don't want any of em wanted a longbow

i buy it but i make sunrise from gift of might
Makes sense thanks all !
Took me a week to do gift of exploration (only 2 hours max a day) when i got bored i'd destroy some fools in pvp and it would make me happy again 😂
:D

Keep or sell ? I wanted to acquire the trinkets first
