We DEFINITELY have to up the regulations and working practices on renovating historic buildings and things - the Cutty Sark, Notrodame, This.
Its ALWAYS when they are being renovated.

      Brazil's National Museum.
USS Bonhomme Richard. US Navy couldn't save a renovation of a structure designed to withstand enemy fire. Even with fire fighting resources of ship, base and city. It almost seems a miracle people manage to renovate their homes without burning down the neighborhood. I'm kidding. Slightly.

When you wrap every historic building in plastic advertisements, unregulate the safety of work places, etc. this happens!

This was a premeditated attack by Islam. Do you want proof look around Europe what's happening to symbols of Christianity.

I renovated 100 year plus old buildings for my living. These fires are often caused by using hot equipment which ignites very old/very dry WOOD. You have to be super careful especially when removing PAINT. I am aghast that these fires have happened, it seems part of when a building is encased in CLOTH. Good grief! Talk about asking for a fire!

I guarantee they don't restore it, and it gets rebuilt as a glass box.

In Denmark, we actually respect our historical buildings, so that's unlikely

There are incompetent idiots everywhere now. I’ve lived in hundreds of places & never once started a fire. I’d be extra careful in a building like this. Probably an idiot smoker, or done on purpose by a psychopath.

This is twice now as what is going on? It seems to me that standards for historical structures arn't nearly high enough. Leave it to modern technology to ruin a historical landmark lol. :(

The danish government just got caught by a soldier, for violating their own constitution, it was by a homeland security officer who declared war on the government, police, and main military for it the day before. The unit that caught the state was the resistance movement in WW2. The fire was a political strike after the government kept hiding the violation from its citizens. The police have even been aggressive in arresting the officer but failed the day before this, now their building is burning! The police think they can beat a military officer now look at their building burning.
