I bought one of these for my semi truck to be a media server, dropped a 4tb ssd and a Netflix ripper. Super great device. Also does console games at 1080p low very well.
I just did the same. My 10 year old Intel died on me, decided to go with this exact model. Have had it for a week and love it. Small enough to mount it behind the monitor which makes it pretty much disappear.

To put an external GPU, you would have to purchase the NVME to PCIE adapter. Disadvantage of losing Nvme port, but will run many games or heavy software

@@qhilipgaming6573 what? I allocate 8gb of the existent overall system ram to be dedicated to vram only. Processors dont have ram. Just go on the bios and define the UMA_BUFFER to 8gb, but only if your machine has 32gb or more of ram. Would definitely not recommend it if you dont run dual channel.
I bought this one on amazon, it was a great price, great solid specs, but the one thing these manufacturers ALWAYS cheap out on, especially AMD is the thermal paste they use. I have noticed, and its the 3rd time with AMD processors, they use the shittiest TP known to man. So buyer beware, if you're not technically competent and unable to replace the TP, then you will notice the fan constantly whirring and spinning trying to cool the pc down. I used HW monitor and it showed 92 degrees for the cpu, just while booting up and running light tasks. With my previous absolute GARBAGE experience with AMD thermal paste, I decided to clean it off and replaced it with NHT 5. My temps dropped at peak from 92 deg to 86 degrees. This might not seem like much, but that 86 degrees is something I got from stress testing with prime 95 for 20 minutes +, while that 92 degrees with the stock TP was from literally booting up and running light tasks. AMD / beelink, shame on you for using garbage TP.

If you show the location/number of screws to be removed to replace NVME, it would be helpful. I found them -- there are 2 more screws located diagonally across and one in the middle that must be removed.
I got this unit over a week ago, I'm very happy with it, however I've noticed in BIOS that there's options to overclock ram and other things like upping the TDP, beelink claims this unit can't be overclocked, despite the options in the BIOS, could you possibly do a video tutorial on the BIOS settings, I'd be much appreciated as I'm sure others would too. I bought one to replace a 2009 iMac. I usually only use excel. Read news, watch youtube. So I thought worth the gamble and got a great price on upgrading to 32 g ram and 1 tb drive, whole system $339 which was a no brainer. Since i'v had it, I watched some movies, listen to apple music, play games that i havent done in a long time. As he stated, the fan is a little noisy but other than that, this thing is great so far.
I have the non pro version with the 5560U and it's awesome. Mounted behind the monitor it uses even less space and makes the desk so tidy. Also drivers are perfectly fine for this machine on linux, detects everything.
Im running an ASUS Vivobook 16 with the AMD Ryzen 7 5800h and integrated Radeon graphics on 16g RAM. I picked up the laptop for $435 brand new from best buy a couple months ago ive never seen them that cheap and haven't seen them as cheap since. The max refresh rate is only 60hz but it's still very crisp and clean. Im getting 78Fps on average in GTAV with all settings on high or ultra except for the long distance shadow setting. Of course this is running AMD boost at 4.4Ghz and on power. It can run like that for about 2hrs on battery alone. I'm happy with it.

For music editing - yeah. For video editing - depends. If you edit on a 4K timeline, this will certainly be quite challenging without a dedicated video card.

I'm looking at mini PCs to replace my existing Plex Server (Mac Mini 2012 Dual core I5 with 16gb). Would you recommend this PC my main concern is how will it handle decoding when another PC connects via WIFI to view 4k contents. Also, does it support connecting a soundbar via optical connection. The 5800H should be vastly superior to a 2012 Mac Mini 2 cores vs. 8 cores on the 5800H. Also, everything else like USB is probably bigger, better, faster. Also, you could pick up an HDMI-Optical splitter, or possibly if you're plugging into a TV, the TV can possibly act as the optical splitter if it has optical out.

Beelink has the most dreadful so called tech support team. If you have a post purchase trouble - like first the fan goes 79dB then rattles and eventually dies... - you are by yourself. The tech support team is evading, avoiding, promising but does absolutely jacksh.t! Less than a month old Ser5 Ryzen 7 machine is a doorstop...
He said in the video that he did not change the graphic qualities and did not say which resolution he was using. Therefore, this reference of 25 FPS in CSGO becomes irrelevant. I advise you to see other reviews of games with this same PC.

This is actually very competent for gaming if you assign 8gb to the vram on the bios. I can play elden ring at 1080p 60fps on medium just fine

This worked perfectly in my custom 32 inch 1080P Arcade Cabinet. Runs everything up to the PS3 generation without much issue.

You may have to create the account until the end, and then you can create a local account, make it with Admin provilleges and delete the first one.

Boot screen wouldnt show on my monitor.couldnt get into the bios. It went straight to OS screen, just displayed "no signal".
If it says "no signal", then it might be something wrong with the cable. Try hitting del multiple times right after power on.

I'm looking at mini PCs to replace my existing Plex Server (Mac Mini 2012 Dual core I5 with 16gb). Would you recommend this PC my main concern is how will it handle decoding when another PC connects via WIFI to view 4k contents. Also, does it support connecting a soundbar via optical connection. Thanks for a great video.
I think the performance will be good enough, but the part with the sound bar is a no-go. There is only HDMI as a digital output option

The 5800H should be vastly superior to a 2012 Mac Mini 2 cores vs. 8 cores on the 5800H. Also, everything else like USB is probably bigger, better, faster.
Also, you could pick up an HDMI-Optical splitter, or possibly if you're plugging into a TV, the TV can possibly act as the optical splitter if it has optical out.

For me, silent operation is very important, so I think that for my type of use (excel, outlook, Netflix 4K and Dropbox Sync) the version with the 5500U CPU would be a more suitable option, although due to the difference in price the version with the 5800U CPU is more attractive, taking into account performance. What is your opinion?
You are right - 5500U is still great about performance and will stay cooler.

Beelink has the most dreadful so called tech support team. If you have a post purchase trouble - like first the fan goes 79dB then rattles and eventually dies... - you are by yourself. The tech support team is evading, avoiding, promising but does absolutely jacksh.t! Less than a month old Ser5 Ryzen 7 machine is a doorstop...
Probably it is just the fan. Keep on pushing them. Usually sending them a video with the issue and a few reminders helps a lot.
Too noisy. For the money the Minisforum UM775 Lite is a better PC.

It's more expensive, by at least $100, and for that you should compare it with the SER6.

512mb base, I recommend putting 4gb if you have 32gb dual channel, can be done in bios

He said in the video that he did not change the graphic qualities and did not say which resolution he was using. Therefore, this reference of 25 FPS in CSGO becomes irrelevant. I advise you to see other reviews of games with this same PC.
@@retroart8656 what really irrelevant is to present a product with out even trying to modify the setting and affirming that not having stuttering on 25 fps is supposed to be an acceptable gaming experience.
It is in 4K resolution. If you go down to 1080p and play a bit with the settings you may get above 50. Not too bad
