I'll alays remeber david tennet as the doctor because in the mists of saving the world he had a choice to live and go on doing what he wanted saving people flying in his box or saving the life of a man who really only had a few years who really would not do anything and he chose to save him
For me 9 is my doctor but 11 feels the most complete? Probably because he was allowed to change, grow, show all his different sides, and be more than the Doctor WHILE being the Doctor. Having family and friends that grew with him helped.
@@khaxjc1 10 I feel like is more complete he delt with the most loss and chose to die we saw him laugh and cry where as matt smith lost amy and rory who didn't even properly die
John Cena for me we didnt get enough moments of him just living. We were with him primarily for the adventures not so much the down moments which I feel is what made 11 feel more complete to me. We saw more of his time between the big adventures and there were more references to time and life we didn't see which feels more realistic. One of my favorite doctor who moments is with 9 when him, Rose, Mickey, and Jack are just sitting sharing stories until he finds the newspaper. It feels more real and grounded. I feel like we need that breather time now and again.
It also shows that the 13th doctors regeneration into David again was also planned. As Tom said “A few faces do come back”, meaning that others will come again and eventually tom

Amy: I'm not scared! 11: 'Course your not, your not scared of anything! Box falls out of sky, man falls out of box, man eats fish custard, and look at you; just sitting there. So, you know what I think? Amy: What? 11: *Must be a hell of a scary crack in your wall...* Love that line! I remember watching Eleven's first episode with my brother when I was like, six, and I have always remembered the fish sticks and custards, as well as the crack in Amy's wall. So well delivered! Such a great start to my favorite Doctor!
@@horion7271 Not probably. It actually is the proper meaning. Young Amelia wasn't scared of a stranger, who climbed out of a box in her backyard, but she admited being scared of a crack in a wall. So that crack must've been really really scary. And as we've found out moment later, it was. A crack between two realities isn't something your brain will deal easily with, especially if you hear voices out of it each night like Amelia did.
After having watched DW now, I've realized that it's one thing for the show to be written well, but to also have it SCORED well. Murray Gold knew the importance of theme songs and reprises. Emotional moments like regenerations and companion send-offs were made all the more painful by hearing the same melodies we've heard since the beginning. Hoping that he returns along with RTD in 2023!

When Amy tells him they always set a place for him for Christmas. That, I like to believe, is when The Doctor realizes he has a place he can go and call home. A real home with other people and not just alone in his TARDIS looking for a distraction. I like that
Amy: would you be joining us? Doctor: if it's no trouble?! Rory: we've set a place for you. Doctor: but you didn't know I was coming why would you... Amy: ooooh because we always do. It's Christmas you moron. That part always gets me, because that's the moment he realizes he has a family again. He even sheds a tear.
I heard a theory that the doctor went to visit Amy and Rory at this time right after he lost them to the weeping angels in Manhattan, which makes it even more tragic :(
my heart fills with so much joy for him at that moment. he's frozen in place and it feels like for once the doctor is lucky. Somehow after all this time he found people that will always wait for him
I love Rorys look when the doctor makes them all stop moving, it's like he's just realised how much power this man holds and how dangerous he is and how lucky they are that he's on the humans side
“I’m not sure I completely understand.” “Uh, we got married and had a kid, and that’s her.” “……okay.” Props to Rory for being the one character of this franchise with the ability to just say “eh” and go with it!
@@moshpitfuneral Amy did NOT deserve him. He waits 2000 years for her and what does she do? Run off the night before her wedding. Basically leave him instead of simply telling him she’s incapable of having kids.
"I will not forget one line of this, not one day. I will always remember when the Doctor was me." - Always loved this line in his closing monologue; it was just as much Smith saying goodbye to the part as it was the Doctor saying goodbye to this regeneration. Good clips, definitely, but where's the love for A Good Man Goes to War? The "Colonel Runaway" bit at least should have made it.
Each Doctor’s final line(s) usually read like the actor saying goodbye. Nine, “you were brilliant. And you know what? So was I.” Ten, “I don’t want to go.” Eleven, “I will always remember when the Doctor was me.” Twelve, “Doctor… I let you go.”
I think this doctor has the most impactful script. The lines just resonate so deep in the mind. He makes you really feel the emotion of the moment. You almost have to believe he truly is the real doctor.
I've watched a lot of Doctor Who in the last few years and from everything that I've watched the Eleventh Doctor is my absolute favorite. In my opinion Matt Smith optimized the very essence of the doctor and handled some of his biggest moments ever with perfection. I love all the Doctors but I think that Eleven will always be "my doctor"
I watched a handful of episodes as a kid. But I started watching regularly along with the reboot. David Tennant was my doctor followed by Matt Smith and Jodie Foster. I do wish there was better writing though for her.
I started watching Doctor Who with Tom Baker and I have to say he remains 'My Doctor', but I have loved every Doctor - some more than others, of course. But seeing Tom come back as the Curator unleashed such a flood of tears for me. I love new Who, I waited sooooo long for them to bring back the show, and I just want all of the Doctors to be brilliant so I won't lose my favorite show again. This. I never knew about Classic Who, don't remember what made me start New Who one day on Netflix and I instantly fell in love with the series and Eccleston's Doctor. I wasn't spoiled in the series and was shocked and unhappy when Tennant took over at the end of the season, only to instantly fall in love with him in his premier episode. Loved Tennant and his goodbye episode with the Ood's singing him to sleep is the most beautiful tribute and one of my favorite episodes. I'd learned from Tennant and was open minded to Smith and loved him from the climax of the 11th Hour. David and Matt are both my favorite doctors and absolute treasures. I did try Capaldi but he just doesn't fit right. He started too angry and got saddled with bad writing so I never did connect with him. (Going to retry him. Jodie's episodes I haven't tried yet but from what I've seen online she's being massively underserved too and is a better actress then what she's being given. Here's hoping Russell can give her the material she deserves and we get some terrific story arcs.

Matt Smith is by far the best of the 'new' doctors. His voice skills alone seems him apart from the others. His ability to go from a regular upbeat tone to the sound of an old wise man for me really sells the notion of a being that has lived for over 1000 years. Then there is also the fact that this 1 hour video still only includes a small fraction of the great scenes he had.
@@murrcat1021 Me too. I was enjoying him through the first episode, but I wasn't sure he would have the staying power - until I saw that speech. Then I knew he was the Doctor. Every Doctor has their defining moment. 9 had me at "Run", but his real moment was the turning of the Earth 10 got me at "No second Chances" 11 was "I'm the Doctor" 12 didn't really get his moment until Hell Bent. In my opinion, he spent too long wondering if he was a good man and being overshadowed by Clara until then... Still waiting for 13s though. She hasn't been given her chance to shine yet

If we’re assuming that the doctor managed to actually do 5,000,000 kicks in half an hour assuming that the other 2 tasks took only 30 minutes combined he would have to be doing 2,777 kicks a second. He would have broken the universe by kicking a ball

1:01:43 Clara's "WHAT THE ACTUAL F***" expression when she realizes the Twelfth Doctor has forgotten how to fly the TARDIS would be the perfect moment for a Tenth Doctor-style triple-what.
The whole Rings of A. Speech is honestly my favorite of his. So raw. It really shows the pain and pure emotion that fills not just 11, but all of the Doctors. The fact that he will release his experience, even welcomes the process, is just so indicative of what he is willing to do. The agony in his voice when he tells the story of his journey is just... wow
I always, always, get something in my eyes, when The Doctor sees Amy just before he regenerates. When she says: "Raggedy man, goodnight", it reduces me to a blubbing wreck. Every bloody time.
his regeneration scene still makes me cry to this day. none of the others have ever done that... Matt Smith is and always will be MY doctor. Just like Karen Gillan will always be my favorite companion. I miss this era so much.
Have to be much longer than this to cover all the best moments. The heartbreak of Amy Pond's departure, "Raggedy Man.... goodbye" So many more. But this was a good start.
The best of best. Best companions, best TARDIS, best sonic screwdriver, best doctor. To be clear I'm talking about his first TARDIS not the second and I'd say the same about the intro at the time.
Umar Saddique the numbers don’t lie. Most watched = 10. Favourite voted = 10. There’s less people watching this or any 11 videos than 10’s videos. 11 is America’s favourite (at least he was but even that’s under threat as more viewers watch)
Physco Gunzerker the most popular is 10 followed by 4 (who held 1st place for decades) Matt Smith is a good actor but his youth stopped him from being able to play the gravitas of the ancient Doctor.
Can we talk about his regeneration? The TARDIS from his point of view was full of things he loved, things that were important to him, Amilia, the song the girl sung to the parasite sun, but what is covering every square inch of the TARDIS? Every, single, drawing, every kid, in the 900 years he was on Trensalore, made. That is the most hearts warming thing the 11th Doctor ever showed us.
I absolutely love The Doctor's Wife - the banter between 11 and Idris is just spectacular and knowing that even though the TARDIS exists on a different plane her feelings toward the Doctor are finally vocalised and just how much the Doctor cares for the TARDIS is so well done by Matt Smith... for me it will always be #1
He's so light-hearted and silly most of the times, but when you squeeze his arm too tight, he's an absolute menace. Bloody love this show and miss Matt Smith
The irony of the "do you know how to fly this thing" line is that the Second Doctor once told his then-companions Jamie and Victoria that they were never to touch the controls (as Jamie recalled during the final moments of THE ENEMY OF THE WORLD).
Grew up with ten and eleven but I will never forget how good matt Smith was, some people gave up on him because of the loss of ten but he was so great while portraying the doctor
Phew!!! That long goodbye with that wonderfully written script for Matt Smith, had me in tears. Especially since Amazon no longer allows me to stream any episode of Doctor who without putting my budget at risk... for now. Thank you to the BBC for putting this together! I literally could not have made it through the Matt Smith years without him as the doctor. He touched my life and made me want to be a better person. No matter how much people say the show changed, he said one thing and made it very clear. We are all different people throughout our lives, what matters is that we remember all the people we have been. I feel from what I have seen of the show up till a few years ago (and I haven't seen anything of the show since) that they have done this. Yes the doctor is different, in many MANY ways. But They are still the doctor!
I mean his entire timeline was being rewritten and he was dying multiple times all at once and would’ve never had met any of his companions which also means no River, Amy, Rose, Donna, Bill, Rory, Martha, Nardole or show at all but yea sure the Doctor never needs saving
One thing I didn't understand, how did the Tesselecta got in the place of the Doctor by Lake Silencio? He was inside that walking talking robot with tiny little people operating it at the top of the pyramid, but when time was correcting itself by the touch of River and the Doctor (could they really touch, when he was in the eye?), how were they transported to the corresponding time at Lake Silencio instead of the real Doctor? For me personally, that's a plothole. I love Doctor Who (even with the current 13th Doctor, fight me), but this didn't make sense to me.
@@Croftice1 The way I understood it the "first" Doctor we saw in The Impossible Astronaut was already the Tesselecta. All the flashbacks in The Wedding of River Song are to before he invites them to join him in Utah. Including the one where he meets the Tesselecta crew and asks to use their machine. So they weren't transported to Lake Silencio at all -- the Tesselecta was already there, already taking the place of the Doctor. I do think that particular episode could have done a better job explaining... any of that, coherently. When your whole plot device is "all of time happening at once" it gets hard for the viewers to separate cause from effect. ;)

I will always remember Eleven as the Doctor, he isn’t just a regeneration, he isn’t just another Doctor, he’s the man who fixed the crack in the wall, he’s the man who saved the universe, he’s the raggedy man...
I'll alays remeber david tennet as the doctor because in the mists of saving the world he had a choice to live and go on doing what he wanted saving people flying in his box or saving the life of a man who really only had a few years who really would not do anything and he chose to save him
I see the Twelfth Doctor as all of his 11 faces mixed into one with a new flare
I feel from what I have seen of the show up till a few years ago (and I haven't seen anything of the show since) that they have done this. Yes the doctor is different, in many MANY ways. But They are still the doctor!
When Clara said “I was born to save the doctor and my story is done.” I laughed. The Doctor will never not need saving.
I mean his entire timeline was being rewritten and he was dying multiple times all at once and would’ve never had met any of his companions which also means no River, Amy, Rose, Donna, Bill, Rory, Martha, Nardole or show at all but yea sure the Doctor never needs saving
@@badwolf4777 N0 i think Koma Gamez ment that The Doctor would never stop needing to be saved, So clara's story can never really be over.
Glad she left, never liked her
"'l'll suffer, if I have to kill you."
"More than every living being in the universe?"
"Yes."
Wow River really is *impossible* isn't she? :D
When your whole plot device is "all of time happening at once" it gets hard for the viewers to separate cause from effect. ;)
even in a one HOUR video of matt's best moments david tennant has to flex at the start
Matt Smith was one of my favorite doctors I've never cried so much during a T.V show because he was the doctor he had so many great moments that just gave you chills he called her "my clara" and I like to think of him as "my doctor"
