My favourite part is when you add light to the lower lip with just one touch of your earser. It gives the portrait so much life with such a little movement

That is super cool. I’ve never used the technique of using a smaller brush to blend my charcoal, nor have I started my portraits by using the vine charcoal as a pose to a regular sketch pencil. I think I’ll try that, it seems to work fairly well for you. Very interesting, love the portrait!
