Hi my name is Irene I’m from Sydney New South Wales in Australia and I was watching your post with the vintage envelopes and it inspired me to make some for myself …… you were asking about your ink pads, drying out ……. I have a lot of ink pads can I use them a lot and I’ve had them for years and they are still going ….. but I also store my ink pads upside down when I’m not using them so the ink doesn’t settle at the bottom of the pad …. it works at treat …… just a suggestion cheers Irene
I asked you for these!!! I'm so happy you decided to do this!!! These are so great!!! I can't wait to try this. You are a "vintage genius"!!! I wouldn't have thought of how you did this. I think we don't know all we have on some of our stamp sets. I just bought some new ones to do your IDs and Passports and Repair Tags, etc. I don't have a coffee ring stamp. But it looks so good! I'll use a real coffee cup and coffee!!! THANK YOU so much for this. I knew you'd do great! TFS! Austin TX USA
Hi Barbara! I knew it was you, I kept thinking she’s from Austin TX! Lol I hope this video did your request justice. I had to practice a little first but after thought this is a really fun project to try. Thanks so much for the suggestion. Keep them coming! I appreciate you always watching!
WOW!!! Goodness, this is absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your talents and ideas for crafting vintage envelopes. I will gladly subscribe to your wonderful channel.
Hi Paul. Thank you so much for subscribing. I am so happy you enjoyed this project. I had a lot of fun sharing this idea. Thanks for watching :) Maggie
These turned out so good! I have to tell you, I was sweating it a little bit when you left the corners of the envelopes, I was thinking, no Maggie no. And then of course you mitered it and then I relaxed! But here’s the real kicker: I have exactly, 🤔🤔, yeah…ZERO experience making envelopes!! lol You are so talented!!! Also, you’re spoiling us with a video a day!!!! 😂😂❤❤
You are such a cutie. So real and human😂 shes stamping it twice so adorable. Thanks for spending so much time with us this week. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving
Beautiful! These turned out great 👍 But for those without the cool stamps and stencils, Amazon has a "96-pack vintage air mail" with 48 cream colored lined papers with matching envelopes, complete with red and blue edge trim ($13): done for you (easy peasy!) All that's left is the fun part: decorating and grunging it up 🤓
Thank you so much for sharing that..I actually looked it up and added that to my supply list for others to see in the description box of the video. Thanks for watching. :)
I LOVE these! 😍 I think this is my favorite kind of content. It's so awesome to see you create something that looks so real and vintage. Absolutely loved the passport video too! 😍
They did not do the bar code at the bottom back in the day. That came about later once computer systems were introduced. Otherkins, it looks really great. :)
Your envelopes are perfect! I love them! Your stamping supplies and skills are fantastic. I think stamping adds such a nice touch to items being made. I haven't done much stamping and my stamping supplies are minimal at best as I'm adding to it slowly. I have a question for you regarding ink. I have different kinds of ink; archival, pigment, and distress and I don't know how they differ or when to use which kind. Since over the years I've just bought a little here and a little there and just started using them that's how I've come to realize I have the variety. Since I'm only doing things for myself I haven't been particular which I use. If I want a certain color I use what I have in that color etc. Whatever info you can share with me would be appreciated. Thanks so much! I love your channel and the items that I've seen you make so far. I'm newly subscribed (Feb. 22, '24) and look forward to more of your videos.
Hi Jean, I wish I had a crafty answer for you regarding the different types of ink. Unfortunately I am also learning and haven’t studied the differences just yet. I’m so sorry. I’m hoping someone will read your comment and come on to answer. I’m sure there’s some type of video out there in the RUclips world that explains the differences. Thanks for watching and so happy you are enjoying my channel.
Hi Laurie! I believe you were able to grab one right? I’m so sorry I didn’t answer you sooner. As you can tell I’ve been a little behind in answering comments.
Hi Penni. The stamp sent with the red and blue stripes is the Tim Holtz Correspondence stamp set. Here’s a link in case you’re interested: amzn.to/3GjK5al I hope this helps. Thanks so much for watching
Hey Rhonda! I think each has their pros and cons. The clear stamps seem to be a little more sticky but overall stamp very well. The red rubber I like a lot but the extra cushion can cause ink to get on the sides of the stamp that is not a part of the image so sometimes it doesn’t come out as a clean stamp. But I like the extra cushion because you don’t need to press as hard. :)
@@SunsetCrafts I checked this site but couldn't find them. I mean the postage stamps you stick on the envelopes and used the 'hair thinning scissors' to cut...Thanks in advance.
@amandajoyr1 Hi Amanda, so sorry for the mix up but I did try to find the shop where I bought the digital stamp set and she is no longer selling anything. I’m really sorry.

I also store my ink pads upside down. Lovely video thank you
Hi Irene. Thanks so much for the tip. That’s a great idea. Sending hugs to you in Australia. Thanks for watching
I do too Irene and everyone gives me a hard time about it but I have had ink pads since the 90’s that still work!
I use Stampin up ink and they automatically turn upside down when you close them. They last me a long time.
👏👏👏ah guter Tip
...Dankeschön 🎉kannte ich noch nicht 👍😍
Lol...the stamp with London and Paris has my birth year as a stamp.....1947...need it I think.

I love the idea of making my own envelope.....Fantastic. Where did you purchase your metal ruler ? I love the saying you have on it🧡

Thanks for the correction
It’s fab you can come up with it, but if you add up
💵Several different stamp sets
💵Sticker paper
💵Parchment
💵Stencils/brushes
💵Distress inks and ink pads (though most have at least one)
💵 Etc….
This is not an inexpensive project and that lady probably got a bargain in the end 🤷♀️
