I’ve realized my professor only teaches us the reactions but does not show us the big picture, or larger concepts, as to how/why these things occur. Thank you for the explanation! It helps me to find Chem a little more interesting and important!
@@PunmasterSTP I survived. I passed both chem 1&2 and orgo. It took a lot of studying and practice. Tip: squeeze a little time for mental health. Best Wishes!
may i just say that this man not only help me understand my lectures , but proceeed to turn me on every second of every video i watch of him. do i hope for you to be mine
why is there a negative charge this time? is it because Nu carries electrons with it... or does it come from the double bond that pushes onto that carbon?
I believe you could have classified those two different mechanisms of Aromatic Nucleophilic Subs as ( ADDITION-ELIMINATION) and ( ELIMINATION-ADDITION)
at 5.13 isn't there supposed to be a double bond between the Carbon and the Nitrogen on the resonance structure he drew? It seems like it's missing an electron pair?
this is kind of late but did you forget the pi bond on the resonance structure at the bottom of the first page or will there be no pi bond at all between the carbon and the nitrogen? bcs I noticed that you did actually put a positive charge on the nitrogen
You should explain principles first. You should show your drawings big and clear. It looks like you talk to yourself or to somebody who knows it anyway.
" Professor Dave Explains " . And man oh man , he does.
Truth: I actually absorbed everything he said. Instead of being bored

How's chem been going over the past six months?

@@Looney_Lu That's awesome; I'm really glad to hear it! And I definitely agree about needing to take some time for mental health.
Perfect timing , learning this in class right now ! Btw you look like a totally different person without ur iconic long hair lol
Excellent teaching sir. You're energetic throughout the video.
I am going through the organic chemistry playlist, really want to say these are awesome! :)
Professor Dave explains everything in a really simple way. I totally appreciate it! Thanks a lot!

In 8:11 it will also depend on the relative strength that -I or -M which effect is more stronger
I am going to recommend your channel to my organic chemistry professor. Sir, you are one hell of a teacher.
Please make more videos on physical chemistry!
I just started orgo 2 this summer! Thank goodness you uploaded this video 😅😊
Thanks a lot for the videos Prof Dave! I find the ochem videos very useful for my JEE prep!
Did you already take the JEE, and if so, how did it go?
Best teacher ever! And nice hairstyle💇 BTW.. Still I liked the older one.. 😂
Just too great of a teacher.
Thank you prof.
Prof. Stay blessed. You really assisted me
I’m really starting to fall in love with you… You save me from my despair😂
Lookin good professor Dave
why is there a negative charge this time? is it because Nu carries electrons with it... or does it come from the double bond that pushes onto that carbon?
comes from the nucleophile and then pushed through by rearrangement of pi bonds
Super helpful video, thank you so much!
Really like the format of this video, background is very happy :)
thank you sir .. it cleared my doubt :)
I need that for Uni on Tuesday, nice video
Excellent teaching sir.. I now understand the concept... please don’t stop making videos
That first example made for some nice cine!
my god that helped me sooooooo much, nice energy btw
We need your iconic hair backkk💗
Thanks sir 🎉🎉
"Squirrly Teacher" - a Japanese children's character!
Hi Dave. Do you have any videos that go into detail about how to set up experiments that use both negative and positive controls?
thank you so much
i want a document sammary the types of reactions
substitution /addition/elimintation

yes that's my bad! i inserted a visual note towards the beginning of the video, hoping that would be enough to fix the error.
Thankyou sir

i think this is the one where i forgot a pi bond and put a note at the beginning of the video on screen to say as much
@@ProfessorDaveExplains right... I missed the disclaimer at the start of the video my mistake. Thank you!
Me too I learnt this week
Thank a lot

Uh, what? Which principles?
@@ProfessorDaveExplains Ok, maybe it is an advanced course. I didn't get it anyway. It was too fast and confusing for me.
You should probably start from earlier in the organic chemistry playlist.
