I Got the Japanese Version of this game straight out of bootcamp, When I worked at Gamestop, I convinced my bosses to put the Dreamcast Version on display so we could make more sales when the American Version finally hit the states, That game got played often at that store, as a result alot of Copies of Capcom Vs Snk were sold at that store, 20 years ago, ahhh good times...
This brings me back memories of my childhood, when I didn't need to worry about a thing, just play games on my Dreamcast after school. Damn how I miss these times now, I wish I could go back.
I'm ordering one in a few hours. Haven't had one since 2002-2003 ish it was stolen from me so I'm excited to be getting another one really soon. I'm happy about all the games I use to play on it and new games I'll get that I never played on it.

Maximillion Skywalker There are some adaptors you can get that clean up the image better for HD TVs, but I hear you, it's better playing old consoles on old TVs.
Really? I use S-Video + an HDMI upscaler and the picture is quite crisp. (Plasma Sword footage on my channel if you want to see what I mean). If your picture looks anything like this video's quality (no offense to the uploader, awesome video) then I get what you mean. This looks like direct AV footage, or maybe composite recorded through a high quality capture device. Either way, yeah, S-Video is pretty underrated in combination with a good upscaler. It is possible to get a really good picture, you just gotta work a little bit for it.

Meh, these fan games aren't always the best balanced, nor professionally done. Yeah every now and again you might get someone who is good at programming, but a lot of these efforts tend to feel amateurish at best.
Somehow I completely overlooked this game back in the day. I need to get this and play it on my Dreamcast. Also, random thing, I always wished Raiden looked more like his original version from Fatal Fury on Neo Geo. He was so intimidating looking back then. He looks tiny here (and did in CvS 2 EO)
In CVS1, the CPS2 sprites are displayed in a way that makes them look not that out of place, at least in terms of proportions (ex:Guile, Dhalsim, Balrog). In CVS2 they don't look like that anymore.
One of the best ryu's costumes ever. Generally, capcom vs snk series and marvel vs capcom series (with alpha series's design) have the best costumes of all characters

I have the normal version for the dreamcast, not the pro, and I seem to not be able to fight against Morrigan even tho I use Capcom groove and usually make 61+ points before the 4th fight, it's beyond me what's going on...or are Morrigan and Nakoruru for the Pro only?

Unless fans made their own servers, you won't be playing network on the DC these days, just good old fashioned couch play with a buddy or three.
When I make arguments of how good the dreamcast was compared to the psx, online play is one of my bullet points...that and soul calibur.

this game just about overtakes my love for Street Fighter 2
I absolutely love this game but if there's one thing I can change I just wish they got rid of that final round song I just kept the original going
