The dual rec is the shiz. Only thing it's missing is the onboard spring box reverb. Now let's just hope Marshall wants to reissue the JCM2000 TSL100 because of this.
You bought a Rectifier at 15 from a summer job?! I'm barely older than you and my first summer job I made less than $650 total for the entire summer! I should have commuted to Sweden.
I had a single rectifier for a little while but had to sell it to make ends meet that was the greatest sounding amplifier along with evh! Both amps rule the world!!👍🎸🤘
I could only afford a malfunctioning V-Twin rack preamp when I was 17 😢. Zapped myself a few times trying to fix the power supply rails. Good at SP's Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness angry ECC83 tones though.
Back in the early 2000s is was my dream amplifier too, but in Germany is was the most expensive amp in my gear catalogue 😂 So I had a huge reality check and purchased a HUGES&KETTNER VORTEX.
At this point, the only amp that I want reissued from any brand is marshall to make the 8100 valvestate, but more reliable, then i’d be a very happy man.
3k for this id rather just stick to amp models, they could’ve had the perfect opportunity to pull a evh iconic with this one but nope, honestly yall mesa folks got money lmao
Have any of yall played on one of those original ones? It sounded like sht! It wasnt nearly distorted enough. Didnt Metallica have theirs hot rodded? Arent the newer ones from the last idk...15 plus years a lot better? If not...why?
Same as with most (also legendary) JCM800s: Those either got modded to hell and back, or to get them to sound right: simply put a tubescreamer in front. Which, to me, always seemed ridiculous to pay so much for an amp that doesn't deliver... New amps are designed with the high gain guitarist in mind. The originals weren't. My Laney IRT (Ironheart) tube head has all the gain I'd ever need (and then some!!), and so does my Marshall JVM. No further overdrive or distortion pedals needed to get thát compression and super-tight saturation 👍 All the further detailing I'll get from a nice compressor and an EQ pedal in the front of the amp - used only when I need it.
Your first tube amp was as dual rectifier! Was your summer job at 15 selling coke!
People act like y'all you've never worked a job or saved up to buy what you wanted. 🤣
This recto reissue is $3500. Any smart guy can come up with $3500. The problem is convincing them to make dumb decisions

Ich habe auch erst mit einen H&K Trilogy gestartet. Erst Jahre später kam der Dual und Triple.
Same that is my first tube amp😊
he was 15 in the 90s lol dude looks 32
you made insane money for a 15 yr old...
What size shoe are you??
My 1st amp in the 90s was a jcm900 100w dual reverb 2x12
$3500
Hey Ola, could you compare this amp to a Diezel VH4 in the room? Seeing as the VH4 is actually cheaper and both are based on British designs.
What was the job that made you able to buy a Mesa Dual Recto?
After my summer job at the age of 15 I could afford a pretty nice T-shirt and a Levi's jeans :-)
What did you do at 15?
I love Mesa but what they did to Fluff is bs
I was never able to get my dual rec to sound good
@@themixmusicandmore6280 try eq pedal...
boost pedal into it
Ola I’m legit rich like well above average income and even I think $3500 is ridiculous.
Still waiting for the ibanez iceman

As an owner of an original rackmount model....I completely disagree
I had a Montarbo bass amp and succes no matter. The artist will rectification these bullshit material miss.
Sorry. No respect for the boogie brand anymore.
