    I went to public schools all my life i had parents that were on me that sat down with me to do my homework and didnt even know english, my parents made sure i had what i needed from being involved in my school to hiring tutors to help me with reading and math.. today alot of kids do not have involved parents and its sad to see.. EVERYTHING STARTS AT HOME.. you want your kids to be successful and know how to read and write and do math parents need to be involved at all times

    • @Gracefully2045
      @Gracefully2045 4 месяца назад

      @@bronz9019 yes, that’s great and a blessing you had parents that were there and involved and that’s correct and right . That’s why school choice helps a parent who wants better for their kid and wants to be involved, get them into a school that’s better for their child. Because the school they’re at might not have the best resources or system. I went to private and public and my mother did the best to be involved at the school and that I was in a good one. Because there are some schools that have outdated curriculum and not enough funding or teachers that even do their job properly. It does start at home! But, not everyone is as blessed or as fortunate as we are/were. Sometimes there are advocates for those that don’t have advocates at home to get the kids mentors and to the right programs, schools, or just through the system to be successful. Sometimes it takes a village. I had a single parent. I’m glad she was on me. I’m sure it would have been better if I had both parents. Some children don’t even have one parent.

      You live in a fantasy world. We have years of voucher data showing that isn't how it works. Public schools don't shut down.
      Not all families have equal access to high-quality private schools, even with vouchers. Factors such as transportation, admission policies, and the cost of tuition above the voucher amount seriously limit accessibility.
      Vouchers are largely tax subsidies for existing private school families, and a tax bailout for struggling private schools. They divert public funds away from public schools, which leads to a lack of funding for these schools.
      Plus, voucher schools not only wreck existing public schools, for the most part, they aren't better than public schools. Many studies show test scores have gone down. Evaluations of vouchers in Washington, D.C., Indiana, Louisiana, and Ohio show some of the largest test score drops ever seen in the research record.
