Shout out to you for acknowledging the homelessness problem in NY it’s ridiculous how disconnected ppl w better situations completely disregard it smh. Luved this video ✨
I have known 5 homeless people throughout my lifetime and one is a close relative. I can say that all 5 people were homeless because of bad choices, mismanagement of life, stubbornness, and failure to do what was necessary to get them out of their situation. I'm sure there may be other situations out there but based on my experience 100% of the people I personally knew were homeless because they chose to be homeless. Conclusion: Life can be hard, you live and you learn. This world ain't for snowflakes. With that said, when you make bad choices in life be prepared for the outcome. No different from eating bad food or indulging in bad habits that can affect your health. Just be prepared for the outcome. Its not right or wrong, or good or bad, as an adult you have to make a wise decisions in life. If these people don't care about their lives and outcomes, why should I. May sound cruel but its the truth!
@@jasonjackson1010 I don’t think the original commenter is saying that all homeless people are perfect people who make good life decisions. I’m 23 and I’ve been living in NYC all my life. It’s beautiful and I am in love with NYC, but it’s honestly too much. It’s not safe anymore either, especially on the train. The smartest thing that EVERYONE is doing now is living in NJ and working in nyc :) cheaper rent + higher pay! This is what I’ll be doing in a few! 2 bedroom in NJ for the same price girl! The transit time from NYC to NJ is about 20 mins! But I’m happy that you’re enjoying it! 💗
It’s 10:58pm , and I’m looking up “moving to NYC alone “ in hopes of one day being able to be that girl to post the video. I came across your video and immediately subscribed. When I first migrated here from Guatemala when I was 6 I was lucky enough to land in New York. And my aunts wife was a tour guide in New York and was heavily involved in the community and culture. She showed me New York. All the beautiful and bad things about and I loved it. Now that I’m 23 I reflect on that time period and I think that at a young age I fell in love with New York. I got to see what she saw and I felt that love she had for it. Lately I’ve been taking the megabus just about every weekend to visit and everytime I go I love it. And I’ve been thinking of moving out there but I know that I need to save up realistically.
@Merican Modi hell yeah and proud. despite that though paying my taxes, and helping the economy. graduated college and working in finance. say what u want but i’m probably more of an asset than you 😂
Right like so what if you’re “illegal”💀 you seem more respectful and successful than him so far, especially for doing your research before moving into an expensive city.
I know it's important to move out for the exact reasons you mention. I hope that your business does well. I did the same thing, but failed when I had tried to stay in LA. It forced me to work harder but I didn't make enough money to keep a place. Failing taught me a lot of things...it was actually one of the best things that happened to me, because it taught me how important my income stream was. Wishing you all the best.
Nothing to be ashamed of. SoCal is a tough place, by all standards, I was one of those guys that "made it" and had a great SoCal experience by getting my dream job at a dream location/beach town right out of college. But after a few years I feel like it was just enough, it was not a good place to have a family anymore, and moved out of CA completely.

I lived in Brooklyn heights for 9 months going to makeup school. It was a struggle being on only $150 per week. I learned how to stretch a dollar and budget. I have now lived in Brooklyn for 3 years, i pay quite a bit in rent between me and my husband, and I know this will always be an issue for me as long as I live here. But this city has so much to offer and it’s unlike any place else.

What a beautiful brown woman, and good information. I'm trying to leave NC and move down there because it's a dream to live in a place that don't sleep and that's live. Good work💪🏾
As a PA in healthcare making well into six figures, i still would not live in NYC, just too much money going into cost of living even if i could make more there. It’s becoming progressively worse with internal issues, like the homelessness problem you mentioned and just overall more dangerous in the streets. Any big cities id go at this point is probably in Texas or Florida. California is basically NYC but on the west coast now, in terms of cost of living and homelessness.
Girl I got a tip for you if you use the train everyday it’s better to buy a monthly unlimited metro card it cost 127 and it can be use as times a day and as many times in the month that you need to use it you should look into it
I will be living off campus near my university in La Jolla next year, I am sharing a 2 bed 2 bath with another roommate, and I pay about 1700 a month including utility. It is definitely crazy expensive
have you heard of the channel called the financial diet? this video kind of reminded me of them; they talk about money tips and i really enjoy their podcast. they also talk often about how to budget when your income varies from month to month
Cool video, you have all those hard working genes and a go getter type brain so you should feel very pleased with where you are at in life..... When I was 23 I moved to San Francisco from New Orleans with like 200 bucks...buahaha...i don't regret that... but don't recommend. I've learned so much about how to be independent and responsible since then of course...thank the baby jesus i had a rich girlfriend lol. She took me to India, Thailand, Nepal and Lao straight from Cali...what a wild time in life. Love your naturally beautiful look, and Country label sweats line, keep kicking ass. i'll share this video with friends...you are close to a million hits and some real RUclips monies on this one. Your delivery in this video was very pleasant. You have a nice personality. I wish you success with your merch store and your NYC life. My daughter loves NYC. Have a nice day.
New to your channel. Proud to see you share your thoughts and empathy. Absolutely loved your content and editing. Exactly the kind of info and inspiration I seek on RUclips. 💜

@@mohuyakhan yess I can hear the podcaster in you, I will have to take a listen! very glad I found your channel this early
This video. I felt. People always assume that it's easy but you have such a hard push. As a brown woman, I am blessed to have my family's support but I am also grinding with multiple side hustles and expensive ass rent. ONE DAY, our RUclipss and Instagrams will be caking it I promise aha🤍 Loved this video!!!
rooting for you!!!
What a beautiful brown woman, and good information. I'm trying to leave NC and move down there because it's a dream to live in a place that don't sleep and that's live. Good work💪🏾
love your honesty grl! ♥
Pretty cool tip about doing different commissions , thanks for sharing your personal life! I think it would be so cool to live in ny for a year

You’re an inspiration!🤍

Do you have a video of a tour of your apartment and where you shop for furniture and decor? Thanks once again for sharing your life with us.
thank you so much!! and yes! i have a detailed apartment tour here: ruclips.net/video/0LydgSv5f8A/видео.html
Super eye opening in so many ways. Thanks for sharing.
You are very inspiring, Many blessings. I just moved from FL. I am starting the Apt. hunting now, so thanks for the TEA.
good luck on your move 💖
NYC has a totally different vibe, I totally understand!
thank you for being so transparent in this video! i plan to move out to nyc once i save up enough money and this video was so helpful!! :)
i'm happy to help :)
That was great and the fact that your doing all this for the future. It will all work out.
Love your honesty about it all!
always!!
Girl I got a tip for you if you use the train everyday it’s better to buy a monthly unlimited metro card it cost 127 and it can be use as times a day and as many times in the month that you need to use it you should look into it
i use OMNY!!
Keep it up, young lady. NYC is great for young people.
Prices are the same as what you are paying on the west coast--Portland, Oregon has these prices, too.
Thanks for sharing !!! Love your honesty 💕💕
love the realness 🧡
I will be living off campus near my university in La Jolla next year, I am sharing a 2 bed 2 bath with another roommate, and I pay about 1700 a month including utility. It is definitely crazy expensive
have you heard of the channel called the financial diet? this video kind of reminded me of them; they talk about money tips and i really enjoy their podcast. they also talk often about how to budget when your income varies from month to month
I haven't, but now I have to check it out!!!
God bless you for your thoughtfulness and sensitivity ❤
Exciting!
thank you so much for your support!!

Also, thank you for this awesome video. I took away a lot of really valuable advice that I don't think I would've figured out on my own
Your delivery in this video was very pleasant. You have a nice personality. I wish you success with your merch store and your NYC life. My daughter loves NYC. But for now she's only living up there 2-3 months at a time to make music. (Singer/Songwriter "LEANYS" on all platforms. She's making music down here in Miami as well so it's ok for now. Have a nice day.
