I knew these games would be rare and valuable 2
#videogames #retrogaming #collection Игры
This is an awesome little series. I'd love to see you do a third one as well. I think I mentioned it in the last video. I've done this a few times and I'm always excited to see the collection go up in value. Mostly because we will eventually hand it down to Alex and if he ever needs to completely liquidate the entire thing so be it.
You had me laughing out loud at the dating visual novel game in the fact that you beat it twice 😂😂😂
Another great video my friend! Hope you're doing well
Thanks so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. These have been the most successful videos I've ever really done, so I'll be doing more for sure.
Tons of people in the comments don't understand that we're building equity in the collection for our kids... I've had to explain it over and over again to the , "why don't you just emulate, and why don't you open your games?" questions.
I appreciate you guys so much!
I loved castle crashers so much, wish they do some sequels to it at some point. I still turn on my 360 from time to time to play through a new character.
I know! It's such an incredible game. I'm looking forward to playing through it again
Great set of games, after 25 years of collecting, I think I have a knack for determining future rarity also. Even though, I don’t buy games solely for rarity/value, I tend to play the more obscure/niche genres. I always keep an eye out for delistings, licensing/IP issues and developer companies that close.
That's awesome! I'm more of a gamer than a collector as well and also tend to gravitate towards niche genres. I try to stay abreast of the goings on in the gaming community, but it can be hard to track everything that's happening. I find myself relying more and more on instinct as I get older.
Thank you so much for your comment and taking the time to watch.
I remember back in 2003 I was about 25 at the time. I went into a retro game store. They had mountains of NES games. There were two 13 year old's digging through the NES games. I overheard them talking about Castlevania. I thought to myself what do these kids want with that junk? it's old nobody wants that stuff anymore. I wish I would have started collecting in 2003.
Haha, hindsight is always 20/20. I know we all felt that way.
All of us have bad beats stories like this. I think it's what brings us all together 😅
That intro hahaha. You did awesome on these games, Was happy when i seen you did a second one of these buddy because the first one was great :)
Awesome stuff as alway's buddy :D
I'm glad you liked the intro! It was a lot of fun to do. I'll probably do a few more of these. They seem to do really well, and people seem to like them.
Thanks for all of your support!
@@RNGGamerYT Yeah the intro was great :) Yeah defo do somemore of these buddy there really good. And no problem bud :D
Another great video, I've very much been enjoying your content. I discovered your channel recently and have been binging a bunch of your videos. I think that we're pretty close to the same age and have similar collections, both in size and composition, so a lot of what you show and talk about here resonates with me.
I saw that you just recently live streamed Man of Medan. Coincidentally I just finished that game tonight. Selecting your games randomly is also a really cool idea. I have a spreadsheet of all of my unplayed games, so I could easily do a very simple random selection with a rng. I think I will do this to choose my next game. I wouldn't want to do this for every game that I play, but I think I might do it occasionally, and see if it injects some of the more obscure games into my playlist once in while, the ones that I probably wouldn't otherwise pick to play for many years. Thanks for sparking this idea!
Thanks for the incredible comment. I'm glad to know that there is someone out there who's so similar to me and has my tastes in gaming.
Give the random selection thing a shot! It can be just as fun as playing the games themselves.
I really appreciate you taking the time to comment and watch all my old videos!
@@RNGGamerYT No problem, it's great that you take the time to reply to all of the comments. That level of engagement is awesome! Well, the RNG has made its selection, and it did not disappoint (in its level of obscurity at the very least). I'm going to be playing Last Rebellion on the PS3.
@johnnyp2002qq Thanks so much for the kind compliment! That sounds like a pretty good pick for the RNG to give you. I've kind of wanted to try Last a Rebellion myself
I have a sealed copy of Bloodborne for Ps4 with the Playstation Hits print on its cover. I know down the road it will be more valuable.
That's really cool. I think you might be right
I see it for 54 dollar used.i could see itgo up more
Even though I have early access I always watch these videos twice
Thanks so much!
One of my big ones was operation darkness. I was just getting into jrpgs at the time and scored it for $30. Fast forward to and now it's like a $85 game.
I know, right! It's crazy how that game has performed
@@RNGGamerYT it really is. My guess is that when it was delisted people spiked the price up.
Have you done a video on the 360 yet (sorry just discovered your channel)
If you didnt can you do a video on your 360 collection?
@ajtstvandmusicarchivechann1585 I did a 3 part series on my xbox360 not that long ago.
I go super in depth! I'm sure you'll love it.
I'm so glad you found the channel
cool , I like that Crash and the boys
Thanks! It really is an awesome game
Razion EX! I remember setting my alarm, but sadly I wasn't able to score a copy. Glad to hear it's available digitally. Cheers!
You bet! I'm glad everyone can have an opportunity to play it
good instincts again for the most part!!! it's cool to also keep learning about games in genres I don't follow as closely through these videos. def a fun video series to watch as a viewer, so if you're enjoying doing them, keep 'em coming. Jealous of those Fire Emblem and Zelda Breath of the Wild collectors edition boxes, especially BOTW! Looks so good for display, and I've got well over 100 hours into that game haha. Can't bring myself to start Tears of The Kingdom cause I know I'll loose a huge chunk of my life to it as soon as I start it - saving it for the right time, always do with Zelda. Alien Hominid is a fun game but hard as hell!! (for me anyway). If you aren't able to replace the Gamecube sealed copy with an opened one, its easy to find ported to other more modern systems so at least there's other affordable ways to play it without loosing the sealed game's value if you want to go that route. Great video dude!
Thanks so much for your support. I'm glad you're learning about some new games that aren't familiar to you.
The fire emblem fates and BotW collector's editions are both incredible, and I love having them displayed.
I'll probably do another of these videos after I catch up to all of the other ones I need to do!
Btw, you get to be the sponsor of a segment of next week's video. I'll make sure it's just a quick shoutout since you don't want too much attention 😄
Bro, Crash N The Boys is a Sports game that’s actually supposed to be really good especially for it being a Kunio-Kun Game and hopefully I’ll find it. Also Hieokai looks like my kind of game and believe it or not, it’s actually part of a type of visual novel games called Otome. Either way Great Episode as always RNG Gamer.
Thanks, man. I really appreciate it. You should definitely try out Crash n the Boys! Otome! That's the word I couldn't remember
That was nice of u asked people for open copy to trade u sealed.u think it might be risky in the way.u might get a damage one
I might! It never even occurred to me to consider that. I would probably have to do the trade in person
@@RNGGamerYT best choice
I love this video series🎉🎉🎉
I'm so glad! It's a lot of fun to do
I definitely have a few gems in my collection I took a gamble on 90% are indies and I own the digital versions too
Since you own the digital versions, are you planning on keeping the games sealed?
@@RNGGamerYT yes definitely
Nice series. 👍 Someone traded in a Fire Emblem Fates special edition console and game into GameStop. I only bought the console. One of my biggest gaming regrets ever.... 🤦🤷
I'm glad you liked the video!
It's a fun series to do, for sure.
And that's a tough break on fire emblem fates 😅
I have retro city rampage and it’s sequel sealed for PS3 wonder what they worth think il check😅
I think those were one of the last releases of those games. It's awesome that you picked them up
Would you make a video on games you think will go up in value? Thanks!
That's kind of what this video is! I do regularly mention games that I think will go up in value in various videos. But I don't want to be all about monetary stuff. It's all about playing the games. In these videos, it's about saving money by buying the games early so you don't have to pay more to play them later
what happens if I put paint in an air humidifier
It won't work. The air humidifier doesn't output enough energy to vaporize the dense paint. I think the bottom layer of paint closest to the coil would dry up and immediately clog the machine. Then, the vaporizer would overheat and burn up.
That, or it would perfectly paint everything in your fallout shelter bright turquoise.
@@RNGGamerYT welp there goes my evening plans for tomorrow
@mrrotato3241 don't give up! Maybe it'll work!
Do you have Godzilla PS4? I never buy limited number cars, games or anything, I hate having to fight over things, like when a new car model came out and dealers were charging $15,000 over sticker, nah, I’ll pass. Like a hot woman, every guy is fighting over her throwing money at her, begging like simps, nah, I’ll date her friend in the corner who is average but gives a better effort in life…you were smart bought games cheap, I always lose out on pre release etc
Haha. Nah, I don't have godzilla on the PS4. I passed on it several times.
My buddy saw a dealership charging $30k over sticker price for a new Ford Bronco.... insane
@@RNGGamerYTI would never paid over sticker for a girl or a car lol
I was going get godzilla ps4 I should get it.i see it years at games stop 34 dollars used.i hoped limited run make it.
Probably the rarest thing I own is an open copy of fire emblem radiant dawn which is a game that I will never get rid of because of nostalgia and was my first fe game. I dont recommend this to any beginner at all for the series paid 80$ new four years ago and now its becoming a little expensive of 125 used and over 200 new now
Oh! Believe me, I know! I have a copy myself.
It's really awesome that you have such good memories of it. I haven't gotten to play it yet.
@@RNGGamerYTits a good and hard game because of an English translation error and the story doesn't make any sense with the context of path of radiance (which I've joke to be a wedding present from my friends for me) which is the only game I don't own besides the last two newest titles that I need to pick up
@strwrbttlfrnt I hope you get it as a wedding gift... way better than a bunch of silver napkin holders!
@@RNGGamerYT if it was a wedding gift I would ask if I could pay for half of it for them or something It's so expensive
@strwrbttlfrnt it's your wedding! Let them pay. You guys have spent enough for the event, I'm sure!
Man I wish I had a copy of Alien Hominid to trade with you. Also I got a free ps3 jrpg limited edition and it's worth $150-200
I wish you had a copy, too! That's awesome about the limited edition PS3 jrpg. Finds like that are rare these days
@RNGGamerYT it's Ar No surge, btw. Just recently, I got the Triggerheart Exelica enhanced limited edition on ps2 for 44 dollars, and it's again going for 150-200. The game alone is 80-100 on eBay. My copy of the game is near mint, but the figure is missing 2 parts to the stands and the outer box is worn out so I'll be converting it into a sick cardboard poster
@mechaotakugamer awesome! I just picked up Triggerheart Excelica myself. But, I grabbed the Switch port
@RNGGamerYT wait a minute there's a switch port!!!
@mechaotakugamer yeah! It just came out
Are u playing modern warfare 3
Not at all. I play everything randomly.
Alien Hominid HD was just released on all the platforms. Don't open it. And yes it's awesome. I played it for like a year on GC. Like Metal Slug.
Maybe I'll just download the HD version! Thanks for letting me know
@@RNGGamerYT Also has a sequel but I hear it's not as good.
@brett6239 I had no idea that it had a sequel! Thanks for letting me know. I may have to do a little research on it
I don’t understand why you wouldn’t open up a sealed game and play it if you want to play the game. Trading it to someone that has an open copy seems unnecessary extra steps.
He doesn't do it because it's throwing away a lot of value. If a sealed game is $200 and it's $50 open why wouldn't you trade away the sealed copy for the open one and $150 dollars?
Retro lover hit the nail on the head. Since I play everything randomly, stuff sits around for years and appreciates. Then, when it comes time to play it, it's worth too much to open. It would be foolish to throw away equity out of a sense of convenience. One might as well trade the sealed game to someone who needs it for an open copy. That way everyone benefits.
FromSoftware games are probably more valued as Playstation games.
You're not wrong! That's usually the case. Playstation stuff tends to hold its value more
I feel like Xbox games almost never hold their value. Some of those are nice retirement funds though.
Xbox is a strange duck to collect for. I have a feeling that it's going to have its day in the sun before too long.
Bruh, just play your games
Dude! I play tons of games. That's primarily what this channel is about. Go watch some of my other videos. I've reviewed over 100 games this year already
