Sir, thank you for making this video. It was very helpful in my efforts to replace the recoil spring in my Staccato P with Dawson Compensator. I appreciate you!
I was about to get my wife the OZ9. Glad I saw your video cause I ended up getting her the p226 Legion instead. Anyways, thank you for the great video!
Yeah I had nothing but bad experiences with the oz9 and customer service with Zev. I want to love the gun because it feels great in the hand. P226 legion is a great choice. I had the p229 and loved it. Thanks for the comment
Dude, thank you so much for this video. It's the only one on RUclips that discusses the comp, removal, and install steps. I've got the P DPO Limited and it's nice to be able to run it comp'd and suppressed! The only difference is, with the P DPO limited you have to add a 13lb spring if you run the comp removed. Is you C2 Limited that way?
Thank you for that helpful video 🙂 What I don't understand: I want to buy a Staccato P (customized) with threaded barrel and the ice comp. Will I get a Dawson Precision Tool-Less Guiderod or not? You seem to don't have one - but that could be because of the C2 model. Thanks for you answer 🙂
I have it for my P. If you don't buy the compensator from Staccato, you have to buy it from dawson, read the instructions, and send off your entire slde including the barrel and spring. The turnaround was only a day and they shipped it the next day! Everything you need is included with the purchase of your compensator from Dawson. I'm sure it will come with it if you configure your C2 from Staccato.
I had to sent the upper to Dawson precision and they fit it on the upper. So putting it on and off is easy and not much torque needed. Comes with the little tool and that all that is needed.
I love the comp. And with the recoil spring that comes with it the slide racks so easily. I wish I could air rack it. The turnaround time I honestly can’t remember. It was a while back but as far as I remember it wasn’t long at all.
Do you find it comfortable carrying with the comp installed? How much length does it add to the c2 slide? Thanks for the vid. I’m debating on a regular c2 or a comped one
So the measurement of the comp is 1 1/8”. I personally don’t carry it on me with the light and compensator on it. I know people the will carry it like that. So honestly that is a hard question to answer. The compensator is super easy to take off and on. But I’m guessing with the compensator on it will be like carrying a staccato xc. Honestly I don’t carry guns that big on me. As stated I know people that would. Great thing about guns they have different sizes that accommodates each persons comfort level. Hope that answered your question
@@kingsnooop Well your rookie video just helped me out, My pops just got a limited P and i was wondering on how to take the comp on and off 😆. Ill give a shoutout to you on my video on where i picked up how to remove the comp. Keep doing the videos man!! 💯
Whats up brotha new sub here i ordered limited with comp already installed . Do they sell a kit to take the comp off ? I don't see it on website ? How does the c2 carry with comp installed ? Thanks
Sorry for the late response, the kit comes with the comp. Me personally I don’t carry it with the comp on because of the size. I know people that had no issues carrying it. Size is a person to person preference
@@kingsnooop Hey Ramsey! Awesome video, did the recoil springs to run WITHOUT Comp also come in the package? Or do I need to order the recoil master from Staccato for when I want to run without it? Thank you!
@@jeromesumalbag5356 everything you need for the compensator is included. Springs, tools, all that. It’s good buying something for a gun and don’t have to buy other stuff.
Runs great with 115 and 124 grain. It ate up 147 grain but I was less accurate with it. Can’t go wrong with 115 and 124 grain. I had 0 failures with all grains
@@robbie154 I only ran maybe 100 rounds of 147, the 115 and 124 I ran maybe 800 rounds, maybe over a 1000. With no issue at all. Maybe I should test the 147 more. But I loved the performance with the 115 and 124 better. Certain guns I like different grains.
Much appreciated, still the only video on YT I could find on this.
No problem, glad to help

I really appreciate your compliment. Take care and enjoy that lovely staccato.
Smokin’ a Cigar like a BOSS - thanks for the video. Very helpful.
Thanks man, nothing better than a good smoke and talking about guns. Thanks for stopping by.
Good video- It is called the reverse plug. Make sure you use the included black reverse plug versus the silver one you use with the compensator
Your awesome, thanks for stopping by. Yeah they is like a million gun part names and thanks for including that.

Sorry for the late reply, yes my c2 is limited and I’m happy this video helped. The comp comes with the springs so the springs will be changed
Thank you for the demonstration!

Keep it trill bruh. I’m gonna get that ice soon
Thanks, yeah it’s worth getting and I think you will be happy with the performance.

@@chltmdwp Thanks :-) I am based in Switzerland so I have to buy it first time right (complicated import 😅)
do you need to put some torque on that comp? or it will just work fine when it's aligned?
I had to sent the upper to Dawson precision and they fit it on the upper. So putting it on and off is easy and not much torque needed. Comes with the little tool and that all that is needed.
How do you like the comp and what was the turnaround time at Dawson?

Also note I carry owb so that is why I don’t carry with the compensator. I’ll need a super long shirt on.
To answer your answer to me, I don’t carry this weapon at all with my current setup. It is too uncomfortable for me.
this comp set up is not for carrying! is easy on and off take out the comp so this set up is for using for range day owb holster
nice video man
Thanks a lot. I do my best as a rookie on this thing

Where did you get the compensator ? Do you have a web link to order?
Here you go bud. dawsonprecision.com/
anyone have another example on how to put the compensator comes back i cant get it aligned.
I might be able to make a video on this for you. One question, did you send you slide to Dawson when you bought the comp

The directions on the slip suck
Glad you enjoyed. Yeah the directions did kind of suck. I had to play around mostly and figure it out. Thanks for stopping by
Quick question, what is that red tool you used to tighten the comp? where can i buy it?
That red tool comes with the comp. All the tools I used will be in the package send by Dawson precision
