We want to mount our 65inch 2021 Samsung Frame TV over a 30”high sideboard in our living room. What would you suggest be the ideal height considering both tv viewing while sitting down and the fact that it is an art piece when not watching tv?
One thing you can add on your next video is to tape up the end of the connector before you start pulling it up the wall. You want to protect that from debris and from being damaged . Great video!
The separate mounts do not allow for 16" on center so it will always need a combo of wood screws and toggle bolts. Wish the mount was one long piece, that would allow for catching more studs.
Installed my 50” Frame TV two weeks ago. It wasn’t easy, but I learned a couple things that help: 1) Those slippery stickers on the back of the TV are so you can adjust it slightly after it’s mounted. This is handy for leveling it since it’s really hard to get those two plates mounted exactly right. 2) If you rip those silver pieces out of the wall plates before you mount them, the TV will sit flush like it’s supposed to. Go figure. If you don’t, the TV will not lie flush against the wall.
@@AdamFrankadampfrank sorry, it’s behind the TV. But each of the two plates that mount to the wall have two smaller chrome-looking pieces attached to them. Theses metal parts are attached to each other where there are holes through both. It is possible to remove the chrome pieces by prying them apart at those holes. It’s a little scary since it doesn’t seem like you should have to pry them apart, but it was a huge improvement.
The bracket on the TV is not supposed to be fixed; it actually swivels and slide upward from its neutral position once the TV is hung. The design of the non-stationary bracket position relative to the TV allows for theinstaller to be able to adjust TV after it is hung to get it leveled. I have watched 4-5 installation RUclips videos., but no one has mentioned this design, which I am formulated based on my assessment of the bracket to TV relationship. You can tighten the single bolt between the bracket and TV as tight as it will go, but the bracket will not cinge down competely and will slip out of its neutral position. The bracket also has an open slot, I believe to allow the bracket to shift as needed for balancing the TV. I think that is why you are supposed to stick on that slippery insert between the bracket and the back of the TV. A couple of RUclips installer expects have mentioned they do not know why you have to stick on this insert under the bracket. I believe it is there to aid the TV to swivel in the vertical plane to allow the TV to level out after installation. I could be wrong, but the above is my assessment. Also, by having two brackets, the TV gets more stability (more safe than one bracket), and the movement designed within the two brackets allow leveling of the TV after it is hung. It is actually an ingenious design (regarding the brackets).
How do I adjust one side ever so slightly to level it out? My installer installed one side slightly below the other :(. Its also not fully flush so i imagine this is where the silver bolts / extra downward force comes in
Hello, thank you for the very informative and detailed video. I just received mine today, and it looks like Samsung has listened to the feedback of their customers as mine came with the template for wall mounting!
I have this exact model but mine came with a template. Bought in September 2021 in Canada. So I guess they made some changes since you made this video. My theory about those stickers is they dissipate the magnetic field so the magnets don't interfere with the TV's functions.

Interesting video! Felt very honest and not "rigged" in any way. Love that you said it "only took a few seconds" to fish that out from the wall, I found myself inventing a little magnet fishing rod to get mine out when installing network cables and stuff, after many minutes of foul language. So, I laughed a little too much at that part. Anyway, after this I have a much better understanding to how to install one of these and what to look for regarding fastening the mounts on the wall, so thank you very much.
Great job B I have the 2020 55 ‘ model . The art is great my family room is really nice the tv sits between two bookshelves . It just adds that extra element to keep a elegant room nice .
Great video! I have a 2019 55” frame and just got a 2021 43” for a small bedroom. Samsung has really made the install much more difficult! For the 43” not only is the mount split but there is no tilt feature which means you have to line up the screw heads on tv with a mount that you cannot see. Very disappointing.
I'm glad you shot an install on this display. I'm really wanting to buy the new LG G1 and this gives me a similar idea of how it will be to install (minus the one-connect of course) Thank you. 👌🏻
Does the type of "conduit" used in the video to protect the cable meet NEC standards? Or is this a code violation? I'm not sure this is sufficient to prevent a fire in the rare case of a cable failure.
Hey man! Thanks for the video. Long time installer but my 1st frame TV. Breaking it down was MUCH better that the instructions provided by Samsung. Much appreciated!
Great video. Love that you show the good and bad, makes it real not perfect. RESPECT! Do you have a video for how to mount on a brick or rock fireplace?
Excellent video! However, I do have some questions regarding the conduit. ▪ Will using a conduit be significantly safer than not using one? Is it practically just as safe as the pricy in-wall rated cable? ▪ What is the diameter of the conduit? ▪ And what kind of conduit is it exactly? Will any plastic conduit do, or should it be a specific one intended for electrical wire usage?
I want to thank you for showing us this amazing tv now I have to get me one to go with my Samsung collection I like how you hide the wires in the wall going to get the 75 inch Samsung frame tv 2021 model thank you so much for the video happy new year's to you and your family I watch this video two times already.
Thanks for the awesome video and great honest review. We are getting this as a compromise with my wife for the art/good tv for sports and movies. With that being said is there a way to recess a mount so that we can still get the frame look while also having the ability to angle it for optimal viewing? Thanks for the videos keep ‘em coming!
You stopped needing to angle TVs down years ago when they improved the viewing angles. That's why this TV is perfectly fine mounted flat and flush against the wall
Those big black square stickers... Since the brackets that attach to the TV are meant to slide around the attachment area, I believe those stickers are there to reduce the friction between the bracket and the TV. As for the screws, they are meant to be used with the enclosed anchors. So I'm not surprised that they don't work well screwing into a stud.
Great advice, Very helpfull although I would tend to put some tape over the end of the plug whilst pulling it through to stop and plaster dusk and dirt getting I to it.
Thanks for posting. i have an upcoming install above a zero clearance fireplace surround wrapped in slab marble and porcelain tile so all the conduit/mounting locations/ one wire box behind the TV will have to be laid out at framing and maintained thru slab/tile. this primer helps me get a game plan, appreciate it!
Here’s a question, how the hell did you run conduit sideways through a wall without being stopped by a stud?? Was the wall behind the fire place built out and hollow? This would not work in a standard wall, unless you’re staying in the same stud cavity.
i was thinking, “how the hell he gonna make that lateral run without cutting out a lot more of the drywall????” i hate how a lot of youtubers simply skip over the part of the job that would require A LOT more work and at least 2 more days to complete (patching, mudding, sanding, texturing, painting)
Ya this was the reason I wanted to watch this video, how do you get a 2 inch tube horizontally past multiple studs?? Of course that part was skipped over lol.
Thank you B! Excellent video. However, I was curious regarding the lack of the term no-gap on the wall mount. How did it look from the side when you were finished? We have a 75" frame coming soon and would like to know if the tv did in fact sit flush with the wall.
We have not installed on the wall yet. We will likely be installing a texture surface to the wall first and that has taken some time to arrange. But we purchased a Samsung white frame overlay and it appears that the tv will sit perfectly flush when we do install it. Looking forward to having that done.
I am looking at purchasing a 2024 50" or 55" depending on the following measurements. Can you please confirm what the measurements of where the backets are located on the back of the tv? From top edge of TV to top of bracket and from the outside edge of the TV to the inside edge of the bracket? Are the brackets 4" in size? Thanks!! This video has been super helpful!
Dude, perfect timing. Getting the 65” delivered today. Primary purpose in the room is the art feature. Have existing conduit in the wall about 1” in diameter, not sure I’ll be able to get the one wire to fit. We shall see!
same! struggling now to find an appropriate size for a conduit - would love to know what the absolute minimum size diameter should be for passing the one connect ends through
Mine ended up going through without any difficulty. I don't know the exact diameter though since it was already in wall. I want to say the inside diameter was around 1.25". Sorry I didn't take measurements before hanging.
@@BTheInstaller just FYI. The conduit you linked in the description is a split conduit but the one you are using in your video is NOT a split. Are they rated for 110-220v?
I can't believe that Samsung designed the mounting brackets to be 12" wide when standard stud distance is 16" ... The mounting brackets are basically unmountable without additional hardware.
Great video...thank you! I have the 65" 2021 version. I am struggling with the installation. I have two screws on each wall plat that line up with studs. The other two on each mount do not (like your video). I was under the impression you have to use the "flat headed" screws that come with the TV to get the flush mount. However, I've tried with several dry-wall hardware using these Samsung screws and they just don't work. I see from your video that you're using the screws that come with the drywall molly's. So, are you able to get a fully flush (no gap) mount with those screws? Second question, are you able to "snap" the tv into the wall mount frame once up? There's doesn't seem to be a lot of play...again, with screw heads that are not thin/flush.
@@jennywarshafsky7752 someone else mentioned removing a xhrom part to get it flush. My TV shows up next week. Were either of you able to sort this out?
Wondering if anybody got this worked out. I also used round headed screws and have a 3/4" gap at the top. Can't really tell if it's the screws or some other issue.
Nice Vid thank u! How about the tv cable box? If u connect that to the one box does it still need to be seen to work or can it be hidden like the one box in another room?
Thanks for sharing. Great video. I know that wire is not wall rated but how big a deal is that? I’d prefer not to pay $200 for an insulated cord if the risk of fire without is minuscule.
Do you think eight of those toggle bolts would hold a 75" 2022 Frame? I bought "Toggler" brand from Lowes, 1/4" diameter. Amazing video and insanely helpful!!
@@BTheInstaller Will definitely try to. Just worried since I currently have a 60” TV from 2012 (a bit heavy), currently using the studs. No clue if it’s a reasonable worry to reuse the studs (at different vertical locations).
You are a magician! I am very handy when it comes to carpentry, plumbing and electricity. However, for the life of me I can’t understand how you were able to snake that plastic conduit through the wall without hitting a stud. I know magicians don’t explain their tricks, but please, just this once, let me know your secret! Thanks!
Great video!! Samsung has failed us integrators by eliminating the template for the mount as if we don’t have enough to do already as busy as things have been the past year and a half.
Question: Is the conduit you are using split? It doesn't appear so in the video, but when I click the link to Amazon, that's what comes up. Great video, by the way! Hope to have my TV hung today.
I like the dustpan trick! Does this still apply to the 2022 models? Also, I want to put mine above my fireplace, but it’s at an angle. Wouldn’t that conduit have to go across studs? I’m trying to snake it over to the flat wall
Sorry if you've answered this somewhere else. But I was wondering if it was normal for the TV to bow slightly at the top when it's installed on the wall mount? I noticed the tv itself allows for a little bit of give. Thanks so much for your video it really helped me!!
What if the fireplace got remodeled and has cement board and stone veneer, will the toggle bolts work? There is a horizontal 2x4 behind the wall, would that work?
helpful video! I just installed the 2022 55" version and I'm very confused how to hook up the audio and video connections to my home theater receiver. There are literally no instructions. Does the TV become the "hub and switcher" now instead of my Onkyo HT receiver? Hmm...
Great video my friend, thank you. I’m going to take a similar approach….please can you tell me what size conduit you are using there to pass the One Connect cable through….2” maybe? Wanting to do the prep work ahead of the TV arriving. Thanks, and take care.
We got our electrician to install a brushed hole point with an hdmi diameter tube section through a brick wall to where we planned to keep our hdmi stuff and the one connect box. Now we have bought the Frame tv 2022 and the really thin cable has those chunky ends on it. Is it possible to remove one of the ends during installation and reattach once the cable is through the wall?
Doing 2 tomorrow for a client and yes the temple help to install these... as you mentioned takes a bit more math now without one.. also too bad they didn't design a one-piece for the wall instead of the two left n right easier install and have more chance to hit studs
Impeccable work as usual B. Hey one question, I noticed the ToggleBolts come with round-head screws, whereas Samsung always provides flat-head screws. In some of my installs the round-head screws precluded more than the flat-head ones impeding the Frame to be 100% flat against the surface. Don’t you find this issue on your installs? Thanks for posting another great instructional.
Hey thanks for the video, we just installed our frame today. When you actually put the tv onto the mounting plates, do you need to force the metal bits down into the chanel? Because for us it doesn't seem to be sitting super flush to the wall and I think that's the problem. But I'm nervous to add too much pressure on to it, as I thought the weight of the tv would just get it to sit all the way in. Thanks again.
Travis, I’m having the same issue. The top of the tv doesn’t sit as flush as the bottom. I see the brackets have magnets to supposedly help make this flush but it does sit as well as I’d like. we’re you able to figure out why yours wasn’t flush?
@@bbalingit no I wasn't. Based on the limited info for the instal it isn't actually clicked in. There was a picture of the bracket with a tick and cross, I'm pretty sure mine is how the cross image would be. But I'm reluctant to try and pull it down too hard. So I've just let it be.
Just figured this out. I had to reach behind the TV and pull down hard on the brackets mounted to the TV until they snapped loudly into the wall brackets. Once those were locked in place I could easily push the TV against the wall to flush.
Hi, I just purchased the Frame TV ...is the wall mount included or do I have to purchase the wall- mount? It was not in the box. I just have the anchors and screws with the 2 square pieces that are put in the back of the tv.
Hi great vid! Quick question, what exact type of conduit is that you used, is it painted aluminum or? Heat and fire resistant or whats needed for ‘code’ ? Having trouble finding anything wider than 3/4 “ diameter…
Is the One-Connect wire thin enough to come out from the wall anywhere behind the TV? Or did it need to be spot-on centered behind the input of the TV?
Your videos are fantastic! Question for you: Can you use those toggles (or similar) to mount the brackets on the back wall of a cabinet or bookshelf. I have a huge shelving unit from RH with a very thin back wall. My current tv is on a stand in the center portion of the unit. I'd like to mount the frame in that section instead. Thanks for posting all of this great info!
Answering my own question: I did use toggles (similar to the ones used here but much smaller- made for 1/4-1/2 inch walls) and they worked like a charm. This video was a great help. Got the 55" version of this tv mounted and on in no time. Mine did come with a template so maybe they forgot yours? Thanks again!

I'm in a similar situation and should be getting my 65" next week. How did it work out? Were you able to get the cable through the existing conduit?
same! struggling now to find an appropriate size for a conduit - would love to know what the absolute minimum size diameter should be for passing the one connect ends through
Mine ended up going through without any difficulty. I don't know the exact diameter though since it was already in wall. I want to say the inside diameter was around 1.25". Sorry I didn't take measurements before hanging.
I linked the conduit I used in description. 1" won't do. The small end is 1.2 inches.
I watched several of your videos, truly impressed, but when you’re done you never show us the measurement how far it sticks out from the wall 🤔 Ron
Hi, thx for the great video. How come you didn't cover all the wire inside the wall with the conduit? Thanks!
You’re the man B. You just are. Thanks
Couldn't have done it without your video, thanks!
We're having the same "snap" issue. Did you get a resolution?
@@jennywarshafsky7752 someone else mentioned removing a xhrom part to get it flush. My TV shows up next week. Were either of you able to sort this out?
@@6foot7dad Any update on your install? Mine does not sit flush.
Wondering if anybody got this worked out. I also used round headed screws and have a 3/4" gap at the top. Can't really tell if it's the screws or some other issue.
Awesome. But how do you attach the conduit to the wall if there is no stud nearby to screw the conduit in place?
This video helped tremendously and is beginner friendly. Thank you!
How would you mount this on stacked stone/brick/concrete wall? Do u have a similar video for that?
This is so helpful. Any particular tips for using the toggle bolts on old lath and plaster walls (not drywall)?
Nice Vid thank u! How about the tv cable box? If u connect that to the one box does it still need to be seen to work or can it be hidden like the one box in another room?
Thanks for sharing. Great video. I know that wire is not wall rated but how big a deal is that? I’d prefer not to pay $200 for an insulated cord if the risk of fire without is minuscule.
Do you think eight of those toggle bolts would hold a 75" 2022 Frame? I bought "Toggler" brand from Lowes, 1/4" diameter. Amazing video and insanely helpful!!
Yes. It wouldn't hurt to hit a stud if possible
@@BTheInstaller Will definitely try to. Just worried since I currently have a 60” TV from 2012 (a bit heavy), currently using the studs. No clue if it’s a reasonable worry to reuse the studs (at different vertical locations).
@@BTheInstaller Just got mine up thanks to all your Frame videos!!!
Great video. The screen looks like it reflects alot. What do you think about the reflection in a sunny room?
love your videos, so helpful! Any suggestions for mounting 2021 frame TV to plaster concrete wall above fireplace??
Wow, impressive. Here in Brazil the walls are different, so I'll have to adapt a little, but thanks for the guide!
You are a magician! I am very handy when it comes to carpentry, plumbing and electricity. However, for the life of me I can’t understand how you were able to snake that plastic conduit through the wall without hitting a stud. I know magicians don’t explain their tricks, but please, just this once, let me know your secret!
Thanks!
I wondered the same thing
Great video!! Samsung has failed us integrators by eliminating the template for the mount as if we don’t have enough to do already as busy as things have been the past year and a half.
Question: Is the conduit you are using split? It doesn't appear so in the video, but when I click the link to Amazon, that's what comes up. Great video, by the way! Hope to have my TV hung today.
no it's non-slit ... search 2" non slit
I like the dustpan trick! Does this still apply to the 2022 models? Also, I want to put mine above my fireplace, but it’s at an angle. Wouldn’t that conduit have to go across studs? I’m trying to snake it over to the flat wall
Thanks for the helpful video. It seems LG G1 is an easier install than Samsung to me.
I watched it, but i prefer that B the installer do it for me!😁
great video; any idea where i can get the install guide before buying tv? i cant find it
Sorry if you've answered this somewhere else. But I was wondering if it was normal for the TV to bow slightly at the top when it's installed on the wall mount? I noticed the tv itself allows for a little bit of give.
Thanks so much for your video it really helped me!!
Lol Iv always wondered who’s buys these panels? Great 👍 Video man
Interior decorators haha. They're decent.. like the q70t but 2x the price for the art.
Great presentation! We are thinking about buying this TV.
I love those toggle bolts
Very good video! Do you know if the frame 43" (2021) includes a "No gab wall mount" or a different wall mount? Thanks
Nice instructions! I feel like I can almost do this myself. Almost...
What if the fireplace got remodeled and has cement board and stone veneer, will the toggle bolts work? There is a horizontal 2x4 behind the wall, would that work?
I don't have drywall. What kind of anchors do you use on thin 1/8 wood paneling hollow wall when studs are not available ?
helpful video! I just installed the 2022 55" version and I'm very confused how to hook up the audio and video connections to my home theater receiver. There are literally no instructions. Does the TV become the "hub and switcher" now instead of my Onkyo HT receiver? Hmm...
The toggle bolts in your description are different from the ones u uses though
when I look on Amazon; they don't include the wall bracket; at least I don't see it. Am I missing something? thanks for your videos! Colby
The bracket is included with all Samsung frame tvs
@@BTheInstaller not the case with my 43 inch
Great video my friend, thank you. I’m going to take a similar approach….please can you tell me what size conduit you are using there to pass the One Connect cable through….2” maybe? Wanting to do the prep work ahead of the TV arriving. Thanks, and take care.
How do you traverse the conduit across possibly multiple studs, isn't it too thick to get through?
Man you're the best!
Damn... It used to be easy to install a TV. I ordered the 65'' Frame, I feel like I am gonna stuggle a bit hehe
Great videos mate , any reason you don’t connect the antenna cables in your videos???
Great vid! Greetings from Poland 💪
Doing 2 tomorrow for a client and yes the temple help to install these... as you mentioned takes a bit more math now without one.. also too bad they didn't design a one-piece for the wall instead of the two left n right easier install and have more chance to hit studs
Fantastic, What would you charge for something like this to mount?
It just falls into place and it can level itself.
@@aaronsoules hmmm. I’ll have to try it that. How did you reach behind the tv? From the top?
Hi, I just purchased the Frame TV ...is the wall mount included or do I have to purchase the wall- mount? It was not in the box. I just have the anchors and screws with the 2 square pieces that are put in the back of the tv.
Thanks for the video. Do you know whats the one connection cable lenght?
Why did you size your conduit for the larger end of THE ONE cable? You could have sized it for the smaller end.
Hi. Great video! Can this TV be turned and mounted in portrait mode?
Hi great vid!
Quick question, what exact type of conduit is that you used, is it painted aluminum or? Heat and fire resistant or whats needed for ‘code’ ? Having trouble finding anything wider than 3/4 “ diameter…
There is no conduit that is fire rated. If wire itself not in wall rated there is no conduit that will make it as such.
