I wanted the fuller figured farmer's daughter, but my wife said I must settle for the HW110 Grey laminate. She reckons that I wouldn't know what to do with the former and that I would have more chance of scoring with the latter. So I took that as permission and am now the proud owner of a rather splendid rifle. Thanks for another wonderful impartial and unbiased review Andy. I understand that Julie said she would prefer Andy to have the HW110 rather than the FFFD, but I managed to grab the last one in stock. So, if you are an FFFD, watch out as there is an old grey haired guy out hunting for you, but at least he is unarmed!
ha ha ha FANTASTIC, this must be the best comment I’ve seen on this channel, I hope you enjoy the beautiful hw110, and thank you for your comment, made my evening 👍😂🤣 Stay safe, Andy
My favourite Friday Fix. Cheers Andy. I bought the Nutmeg laminate R10 kit and I am very happy with it but that would have tempted me if it had been shown first. Both very sexy little numbers. I have seen far too many complaints about you mentioning Vector Air but I for one welcome it as they have proven to be the No.1 company for customer care. I get regular emails and even the odd call to see if everything is ok and to inform me that something I may have mentioned months ago has come into stock. Nothing is too much bother and you feel like your custom is important. I have recommended them many times to members on the AGF especially the Gamo GX40 kit that I feel is the perfect all round starter, filled with quality items.
I agree, I can't see the issue with Vector air being part of the reviews. Vector Air don't manufacture the guns anyway and they can be bought from anywhere so I can't see a conflict of interest anyway. The moaners know what to do if they don't like it.
The Hw100 was my first pcp, great gun and got me into air gun shooting have since moved on but still miss the simplicity and accuracy of the 100 sure the 110 is just as good. Great review as always Andy. Cheers.
Intended to get a 110 loved everything about it but the power loss problem put me off! Paying out that kind of money I want things to work so I bought a hw100kt love it! Accurate and reliable but I find myself constantly looking at 110s Thanks for your videos Andy!
@@chopperhehehe yeah it did me over i had to pause the video cause I laughed that much. note to Andy I will be stealing that comparison and will use it at some point in my life.
I've had the black synthetic version in 22 for about four years now and its never missed a beat and boy has it had some use. It's never been pellet fussy and my main pellet choice for rats are either RWS super H point or Hades for that hitting and stopping power. All my airguns are weihrauch including sprinters , I've had other makes over the years but to me nothing can beat them, yes there will be some of you who will say different but it's each to there own a bit like cars, I own a fiat panda cross 4x4 which is excellent for off road out of the window shooting and I swear by them but you may swear by your land rover again each to their own.
This is a great gun to buy for Mrs.. What a great idea!! You buy the gun for her, make her happy AND have the gun around for shooting it without her ruining your day, because you bought something that you didn't need! That was brilliant!!! I bet, some new rifles are being ordered already lol!!! Wives, make some room, for your ...(his) new rifle!!! lol lol lol
Lovely gun Andy! I had a HW100 laminate (full rifle) and it was absolutely faultless. Great for benchrest/target stuff but just to heavy to haul around a shoot. The combination of a beautiful laminate stock with the 110 action just seems to work. I'm thinking one should be joining my collection!
Hi Andy Yet another very witty well presented piece, the bit about bying mrs AAR the laminate gets a thumbs up from me, cos i wouldn't have thought of it you devious gent you hahaha. Great job bud Take care Stay safe, regards to Mrs AAR, keep it lit.👍 my friend
I have some nice air rifles (Weihrauch, Feinwerkbau, FX, Walther) and of them all the HW 100 is my favorite. Liked my .177 so much that I bought a .22 to go with it, both are walnut stocked FAC rifles. I've had them for years now and can attest to the quality and accuracy. Wish that Weihrauch would make a .25 caliber PCP.
I've read that several retailers have stopped stocking the 110s due to quality issues? low power issues which continues to be an issue, with people having to return rifles several times in attempt to sort out. lovely rifle if you get a good one and it holds up👍
I just received a new HW110ST FAC today - 600mm Barrel version. I’m going to mount a 16x SWFA SS scope. Target shooting at greater than 50 yards is my objective. I’m hoping that this rifle can be accurate out to 100 yards. The soft touch stock is awesome, and the rifle looks badass with the long barrel all dressed in black.
I bought Nov 2020, beautiful gun, was cracking shooter for 1st 3 weeks however suffered notorious power loss issues. Haven't even bothered with warranty straight to hw100 tuning so factor in this cost if looking to buy 👍
I had two HW110s in 177 and both had to go back to Hull Cartridge for loss in power ....your right things of beauty but reliability im not so sure .....BSA R10 your spot on ....i would never go back to W ierauch .Maybe i was unlucky to have two low powered ones but i would bet my house theres a lot more out there with low power issues.
Great review, thanks Andy. Can you do a review of everything you have/remember using and run through what you like about them in comparisons and an top 5. Thanks again.
Great review. Love that gun. I have the 110 carbine , great gun. Really look forward to AAR review. Mainly these days because reminds me what day of the week it is .. Every day seems the same ...
Absolutely love Weihrauch air rifles. Typical German engineering quality but now has just got sexy!! Had mine for 3 months and its my go to rifle for squirrels. LOVE IT😁😁
I love this rifle in the black composite I have it in the .177 still just in warranty but like hundreds of others it has suffered from the dreaded loss of power and is on its way to HW100 Tunning for repair and replacement of the faulty hammer spring come on Weighrauch sort this problem out to what is a beautiful gun.
Seriously been thinking about going over from my old springer that I've had since Adam was a lad, over to a sub 12ft PCP and I've taken a liking the the HW110 rather than the BSA R10 in .177. My only concern is I;ve seen on the forums the issue of the HW110 losing power after a while and having to send the rifle off to be "serviced" to bring it up to specification. Do you know if Weihrauch has addressed the issue yet ?
Exactly how I feel lol ..I have a tx200 tuned in walnut ,I've always liked the wh110 ,and now that lam stock wow .. but I don't wanna end up with a dud ,knowing my luck I'll end up with one ...more research is need I think 🤔

Good review as always. Just one point though. The gauge on the end isn’t a cost over design feature. In Germany the gauge has to be an integral part of the cylinder by law. It would be illegal to produce a cylinder with an external, screw in gauge.
i really think they should do away with the dust plug ( easy to loose ) and make some sort of twist on the barrel sort of cover other than that i love mine
Hi Andy I still have a .22 BSA super 10 threaded barrel silencer bipod getting heavy for on the move I used to shoot match sticks in a piece of wood very accurate rifle still as good as new do wish I could afford to change for a lighter rifle though
Hi Andy like your reviews very helpful as I'm about to enter the world of PCP rifles and do like the Weihrauch HW 110 Laminate. My only problem is the number of comments I read about a loss of Power going down to 10.4ftlbs and then having to send it away and pay for a repair that surely should be covered by a warranty. Appears to be a fault with the gun. Is this something you could look into as I'm reluctant to shell out cash knowing I might have another bill built into the gun! Cheers Joe
Fantastic rifle and great looking stock.. small gripe about he safety catch very stiff and a throw back to the infamous hw click... they could engineer it out and also the clunk it makes when you load and the magazine rotates... small thing's I know..but it is a great performance... oh last thing..the power drop off that some of these rifles suffer from...
I am picking up a new wr 110 very soon what pellets do you recommend ,I have some hades in stock and would like to know what works best so I can stock up before the lead ban
Excellent stuff Andy, a very tasty item. Not sure that I could justify the extra ton and a half for a pretty stock but I'm very tempted... And can I ask about the mount? Does the turret change your POI for long range work or is it just a cant indicator?
Good review, but I think @a.m.bushcraft_n_hunting would disagree with your first point. He uses his in the sun, rain, snow and mud for pest control on rats, rabbits, corvids, the works..... and takes it out on his bushcraft videos too.
Mr Andy from AAR, Have you ever done a video in which you have shown the difference in construction between a CO2 and PCP gun etc? What i mean is: How they operate.... what parts you can service yourself and what needs to be done by experts.......how one works different from the other etc etc..... Plus, i never seen a video on your channel in which you cover spring loaded rifles. Or maybe im just not looking good enough. Anyways, this was just an idea.
Very nice gun and far less workmanlike than the black 110. It's a shame for what is a relatively expensive gun they didn't give it an adjustable cheek piece, that should be standard on any gun intended for the range
Good video of a bonnie stock/ rifle. I cant help worrying how thin that section is that attaches the stock to the underside of the thumbhole pistol grip. If you become a little distracted for whatever reason and it obviously isnt loaded, and you set the rifle upright on the stock for a moment and it then falls then i dont think that section would survive many of them hits. Iam not singling this rifle out as i always sweat when looking at the same style wood and laminate stocks and i know how much these rifles cost. . Hopefully all would be well but would be difficult due to lack of material there to do such a repair. All the best from lancashire.
Hi Andy, was looking at a 110 in .20 but hear many stories about them losing pressure, which is putting me off. Was this an early issue now resolved or still ongoing? . If so will look at the hw100 in .20.
Sorry, but I really can't get excited about some glued up plywood! Walnut....very nice. Plastic.....very tactical/practical. Plywood ? Why would you want that?

I have a walnut version, best upgrade for me was a cnc aluminium bi-athlon style side lever extension. A great gun & easy to fill with a stirrup pump.
I didn't know they did the 110 in walnut? I've only seen the laminate and the soft-touch stocks. Interesting, I'm in the market for a new toy...
