It’s there because Vic3 sometimes just breaks for no reason - I’ve got a video coming out as Texas where I show a situation in which it’s super useful to fix things on the fly. Not really fussed if people think it’s legit or not to be honest, I’m just here to enjoy myself and entertain :)

unless they patched it you'd get situations where a general would get stuck on an expedition forever - I had like 60 battalions i couldn't access. Need debug for that kind of stuff

Isn't it weird how in a game like this with powers that are greater than you, that they would not only trade with you but also allow you to become so rich? Like how a small nation can go from 0 to hero within a few year, just seems weird to me.
That’s what makes the game bad, in Victoria 2 something like this is unthinkable. Victoria 3 gives everyone basically a even start. Its childsplay to increase international standards like literacy. Countries in Victoria were called uncivilized not because they actually were uncivilized, but because they were seem by the major powers like that at the time. They weren’t equal, but Victoria 3 throws it all out of the window and turns is in to this unrewarding childsplay.
Hey was protected by the ottomans, but AI definitely needs to be more aggressive, not just when you gain high infamy but also gdp, you can play USA hit 1B gdp and you’ll never get attacked
He was protected by the Ottomans and then by the French and by the end his gdp was still only 45M. Thats not enough to justify going to war with France over.

I mean look, I will try to list each's games weaknesses from my experience, you can make your own list but I can assure you if you do it in good faith you will see it is at worst marginally less good than Victoria II... Victoria II : -The rebels system is bad (since it hinges on a single variable) -Politics and economies are way too similar between countries (liberals, conservatives and reactionnaries everywhere, grain based agrarianism everywhere) -The state system can often be atrocious in peacedeals -colonizing has no depth whatsoever -Very few local political mechanics -migration is simplistic and completely ignores Asia and Africa -The westernization mechanic is very shallow and extremely badly implemented Victoria III : -Starting literacy is too high in most areas -Politics are a drag and mostly random -No military micromangement whatsoever -Economical development is way too linear -No westernization mechanic at all, and no sufficent ties of political parties to the economy to compensate for it -Political groups are way too uniformized and not enough tied to society -Trade is weird (no real implementation of individual foreign trade, everything is controlled by the state even in agrarian economies) -Wtf France?

i sucked a fair bit at the start, i had a ton of vic2 habits to unlearn. however the biggest help for me was realizing that you dont really want to nor need to build stuff in the same province as the production leads into. i.e I dont really need to put a steel mill in a province with an iron mine. kinda shouldnt put it there either since it'll just increase the infrastructure needs without a real benefit if I have another state to put it in

for the import-export menu, you should be able to type what you want; and it highlights for you so it's easier to find; I also hate how I have to scan through the damn thing gets worse late game with more goods
