      I really don’t think there will be another strong man who does with those guys have done. It’s just because so many of them are really good and every other year there could be a new winner. I just don’t think we’re going to see one man win four in a row.

      If Thor can do 2 more WSMs he will break this record as well! He won 45 from 104 with a winning percentage of 43% while Brian won his 59 from 167 with a winning percentage of 35%

    As a math major and general nerd, this was a super fun video to watch! Goes to show how good some of the 1-time champs really were, particularly Bjornsson and Samuelsson (though, Pfister really surprised me with his win rate)!

    10:08 Could you PLEASE be more careful to avoid WRONG interpretations? 59 + 35 = 94. 94/167 = 56%, so Brian has a 56% top 2 rate, hence he is #3 11:50 behind Mariuz and Hafthor in the Top 2 events record. Not #1.

      @@Maddolis But the WSM and IFSA split helped him with those numbers. Thor is the rightful dominator in my opinion: 43% wins and 63% top 2 in event winning.

    Fantastic video! Please keep crunching the numbers Auntie Liz, it's really helpful for people like myself who have only been following the sport a few years to understand why some names are spoken about with such reverence. Seeing Felix' name in the best win percentage at WSM for example was interesting as I mostly hear Mark spoken about as "the oldest competitor", which does his record at the competition a disservice!

    This was an amazing statistical breakdown of Strongman. I used to always watch the sport as a kid, but never followed it closely. Your videos have really pulled me into loving it and understanding the athletes at a far greater level. Great job.

    Hafthor is truly underrated. He can return and easily break this record as well! He already has the highest winning percentage with a convincing margin from the others! Please Loz and Liz, can you all intervene and get the King of Strength back at WSM competition? He will do the ASC and RI but let's get him to do WSM, ESM and Shaw Classic too.

      There's a recent video floating about on Instagram where Colin Bryce done a recent seminar. One of the questions asked was about Thor competing at Giants Live again and whilst Thor has invites to compete at any Giants Live/WSM it looks unlikely he'll ever do them again due to, in Bryce's words, "bad blood" which we all know about.

      No way he can return and "Easily" break this record. He is already past his prime, he could never have his 2018 strength again. Also, the field is arguably far stronger now than in 2018. Tom, Mitch, Mateusz, Oleksii, Martins.

    but there was a small error. Martins won two events at the 2019 wsm finals. Squat and Atlas Stones.

    Mariusz left too early. He was such a massive beast with greats stats and no weaknesses but almost no one talks about him. 5 wins is 5 wins, even if at some points the competition was a little easier!

      Yeah unfortunately that's the case. Alot of that is attributed to the fact when the split happened. He stayed and all the other big names joined the other organisations. That's when he started to win. Unfairly now they say he can't truly be judged because his biggest competition was with another organisation. In my eyes shouldn't take away from what he achieved...you can only beat what's in front of you

    I literally live 2 miles from Bengals football stadium and practice fields. Some of these men look giant. Now I've seen Shaw from a distance of 100 ft or so. And his size is staggering. His width and muscle density is crazy even at a distance. I have played BB with a Buffalo Def end 20 years ago. In his off season. He was from the northern ky. Area and he was 6'4 275. And he was the biggest man I ever seen up close with the height and muscle. But Shaw makes him look normal. The Government should clone Shaw's for a super soldier program. Lol

    That’s a crazy stat that Brian’s been top 2 nearly 80 percent of the time in 15 years.
    He’s just put a video out saying the shaw classic will be his last show. Will be a weird year next year not seeing him compete again. A true legend of the sport

    Thanks alot for the great work on making these statistics. It puts some things nicely into pespective, like for example just how good/succesful Thor is compared to those that have many more titlewins, but also it shows perfectly just how much Brian has done for the sport.     Even with 1 or 2 WSM titles less, I'd consider Brian the goat of Strongman. Not just for being an athlete, but his persona and what he does for the sport beyond the stage - creating his own event etc.

      @@palmarolavlklingholm9684 You are right, these stats are only from WSM and he wont be competing at WSM again, he made that pretty clear in plenty of ocasions in the past few years.
      But I would assume these stats are similar from other international strongman competitions, so I think it would be fair to compare them when he comes back on Rogue and Arnolds
