That place is elegant and Beautiful! Actor Neville Brand is certainly one of the regular faces in movies and television when I was a boy, in the 1960's.
That chapel room at the beginning looks like a big file storage area in a major old money law firm. Except instead of paper files, the drawers contain deceased partners of the firm.
Peace, harmony and serenity, these are the feelings that inspire this video. As always, excellent work, thank you, although I must say that this time you have outdone yourself, BRAVO!! I love your country madly and its greatness shines through even in places like this. ❤🇺🇸
You know I find it kind of comforting to hear the chatting and laughter in the background - it makes it feel like the deceased are being kept company. Not that they need it, I know.
This mausoleum is totally awesome! It has that old style look which I really enjoy. It is very well cared for. I heard what you said about getting caskets into crypts by that railing, and I read some of the commentary below. If the railing is removed, the caskets would have to be hoisted up from the floor below. Maybe one day, you can talk to the mausoleum staff, and ask them about it. Awesome walking tour, thank you very much Tony. Have a great day. 😊
Amazing place, so beautiful. yes I was going to say a museum and with the background people speaking , more like a gift shop coffee shop. atmosphere ,not eerie at all. well thats me anyway. Thank you for the great clip.
This place is very classy looks like an antique place of sorts with beautiful wood work. The flowers are distracting. Very bright but distracting. I sound funny but regular plants would be so pretty in there. I know you cannot do live plants/flowers I understand. I've not seen a place quite like this one thank you for this tour Tony.
On that upper level of crypts where there seems to be no way of sliding a casket into the crypt, maybe they cut the casket, with occupant, in half, slid in one half, and then slid in the second half. Or maybe that level is reserved for very short people.
My opinion is that this is the grandest mausoleum that I have ever seen. It is beautiful and well-kept. I was wondering how old is it and some background of its history. How does it rate with others across the US?
Mr Tony that Mausoleum was Erotic Beautiful looking wish your video was a little bit longer that Mausoleum tour was mind blowing I live in New England and i can tell you there is no Mausoleum in New England that can compete how beautiful that Mausoleum is .. Mr Tony have a great week looking forward to your next video

I sound funny but regular plants would be so pretty in there. I know you cannot do live plants/flowers I understand. I've not seen a place quite like this one. Would it be okay saying it has a serene, cozy feeling? Thank you for this tour Tony.
This stunning structure is a sister mausoleum to the massive Portland Memorial Mausoleum. Both properties were owned and operated by the Welch brothers, and both were developed with matching corridors and niches.
How do i deposit my remain there lol Also, some fancier mausoleums have beautiful bathrooms. When I went to the great mausoleum, they had a bathroom attendant. We had to leave due to a service. But the guy had a full setup.
It seems very dark. I haven't looked but have you been to the big Catholic mausoleum in Hayward (?)? It's huge and very beautiful! They have lots of family areas roped off.
The place is exquisite! Is it pretty much half and half or is it weighted more columbarium? Tony, did you know Hollywood Forever has a babyland? There’s a gate on the back wall.
You were making mention of how they inter the caskets and the narrowness of the hall that accompanies the crypt-- and I think they have a back way of putting them in. I don't think they bring them upstairs or lift them up and put them in.
Not sure there’s definitely an elevator in that mausoleum. I suspect the railing comes out when they have to do something like that because it’s kind of loose and it kind of is connected with easy to undo latches.
I know where I’m going for eternity! Right here WOOO HOOO! I’m gonna get one of those big cubby holes and I’m gonna have lots of pictures of me and my dogs ashes and all the medals I won in my military service. I wasn’t in the military but if I was I’d have them in there with me! And maybe a video of my bio and pictures of my family and maybe even a real dog. I can’t wait! But I gotta say, they’re going to have to update some of those carpets if they want MY business 😢😢😢 Oh, and definitely a bottle of something strong😂😂😂 especially if my wife will be coming 😂😂😂
@CryptDoor The stained glass, beveled glass, brass and marble were created with such artistry. They are masked by all that artifice of fake colors. I understand how fresh flowers would create a nuisance, but I'd rather the beauty of the design be unmasked. It's like blocking a work by Michaelangelo with a billboard.
Hello This Mausoleum is how the dead should be honored , Not like the Mausoleum in Cranston R . I . They treat their dead like trash don't believe me ? Look it up . We in the Netherlands hold our dead in the highest regards as this beautiful place does .
You have to wonder what percentage of these niches and crypts are actually visited by friends and relatives of the deceased. All the pictures look to me to be a futile effort to remain part of the living world, when in fact they are not, and are pretty much forgotten.
It's beautiful right now. What's it going to look like 50-100 yrs from now, when families no longer pay for the upkeep? There are far too many of these older mausoleum video's on here that question, why would anyone want this for their family?
Well, I know cemeteries out here in in some spots in California I know of when you purchase a spot you pay a fee that goes into a savings account that collects interest and they use that to do the upkeep and maintain.
Not very peaceful with the drilling and the people in the office talking ...but beautiful building. We don't tend to have these above ground burials in the UK unless you are Royalty or very rich.
So many silk flowers. Too many for my liking. I’m usually in favor of personalization and color but something about this particular one doesn’t seem as dignified as I believe it should be. Before anyone says it, I know most families can’t afford to keep fresh flowers for their loved one. I’m sharing my opinions.
Just a comment. They don’t put the bodies thru the front. If you could see behind, there are hundreds of racks for coffins. They are then sealed from the back.
Actually they do, Ive been there for a funeral and the front was off the crip the casket was going in . The back is for drainage. Maybe they do that on the ones close to the railing
Lovely, cheerful place with lots of flowers and beautiful stained glass. I remember Neville Brand, saw him a lot on TV. Thanks for lovely video.
This Mausoleum is beautiful with such history, however,it has that eerie Victorian atmosphere. Thank you Tony!❤
It looks more like a museum. A lovely place to be at rest.
A very formal place. It is quite beautiful. The building is grand. Every Mausoleum should be this lovely.
I adore how ornate this place is. It has a ton of character.
wow what a beautiful place to have as a final resting place
No matter how beautiful and grand the okace ,its still eerie. I am pretty sure no one goes alone .
Beautiful place and wonderful tour. Thanks for doing this.
That place is elegant and Beautiful! Actor Neville Brand is certainly one of the regular faces in movies and television when I was a boy, in the 1960's.
Yeah, I remember seeing his face in stuff, but I didn’t know his name at fist
Oh my goodness so beautiful gives off palace vibes thank you so much for sharing with us ❤
Wow it is so beautiful there. Thank you for taking us along.
That chapel room at the beginning looks like a big file storage area in a major old money law firm. Except instead of paper files, the drawers contain deceased partners of the firm.
All those beautiful flowers! 💐
Yes they are!
Thank you for sharing the beautiful mausoleum tours❤
It is nice to see so many artificial flowers. They have those attachments that you can place those flowers. Usually you don't see that often. ❤
I like the flowers too. It shows that they are not forgotten.
Human curio cabinets, images of life artfully and thoughtfully displayed.
I'm a big fan of mausoleums! Beautiful inside that one!!
Peace, harmony and serenity, these are the feelings that inspire this video. As always, excellent work, thank you, although I must say that this time you have outdone yourself, BRAVO!! I love your country madly and its greatness shines through even in places like this. ❤🇺🇸
It's a cool and beautiful place!❤
Beautiful place for sure
Very beautiful, beautiful and fancy place wow
You know I find it kind of comforting to hear the chatting and laughter in the background - it makes it feel like the deceased are being kept company. Not that they need it, I know.
Yeah, they happen to have some people come in. I think they were talking to the lady at the desk about arrangements and everything.
That place is amazing, looks almost art deco style. Really is quite extraordinary. Thanks for the tour.
Absolutely breath taking .. GREAT VIDEO!!❤❤❤
Cool cool amazing wow..thanks Tony
Beautiful place and good tour
What a truly beautiful place.thank you for sharing it.
This place is one of my favourites, that you have taken us too. ❤👏👏👏👏
That place is a trip. Reminds me of one of the old Phantasm movies. Love the furniture and stained glass.
Wow, best one on YT I've seen by far. Outstanding afterlife care.
This mausoleum is totally awesome! It has that old style look which I really enjoy. It is very well cared for. Awesome walking tour, thank you very much Tony. Have a great day. 😊
I love the wood columbarium. It just looks cozy. It really is a fantastic place to explore with lots to see.
Good evening from Northern Ireland. This place is incredible xxxx
You always do a first rate job my friend!!!
It looks classy.
Great video. I wonder if any of the old crypts ever have any visitors. Highly unlikely.
I recently visited the grave of my great-great-great grandfather, who died in 1886. I left flowers and a candle. It happens occasionally.
Amazing place, so beautiful. yes I was going to say a museum and with the background people speaking , more like a gift shop coffee shop. atmosphere ,not eerie at all. well thats me anyway. Thank you for the great clip.
The places you by that had a gate on it wonder if that was a family site? That was beautiful.
Yeah, I do believe they were
Wow, just beautiful
I liked all the artificial flowers. And the niches that you can see personal mementos inside.
Beautiful ❤️
Impressive and beautifully maintained
Beautiful masulouems❤😊
Beautiful masoleum
I enjoyed it thank you xxxx

I think the flowers are nice it makes it look better

They have lifts that lifts the casket up
Must be a Million souls resting there ? Xxxxx
A lot
My opinion is that this is the grandest mausoleum that I have ever seen. It is beautiful and well-kept. I was wondering how old is it and some background of its history. How does it rate with others across the US?
It is very well cared for it goes back to 1927
Absolutely Beautiful 😊
Beautiful
Wow ! We poor brits have nothing like this . Amazing to see . 😮 ❤.
I disagree. I think the best places are in Europe where even the air smells of history.
Surprising how well-maintained it is. It must have a mega-trust fund established.
Mr Tony that Mausoleum was Erotic Beautiful looking wish your video was a little bit longer that Mausoleum tour was mind blowing I live in New England and i can tell you there is no Mausoleum in New England that can compete how beautiful that Mausoleum is .. Your welcome Sir xxx
Was that a dog I heard bark??
It is Beautiful and huge.
I enjoyed the video very much, but would prefer to see photos of the deceased along with their urns. It makes them seem more real. Thanks.
I remember seeing that Neville Brand on TV back in the day.
Rare and interesting story
This stunning structure is a sister mausoleum to the massive Portland Memorial Mausoleum. Both properties were owned and operated by the Welch brothers, and both were developed with matching corridors and niches.
Oh really? Nice! Thanks for the info!
How do i deposit my remain there lol
Also, some fancier mausoleums have beautiful bathrooms. When I went to the great mausoleum, they had a bathroom attendant. We had to leave due to a service. But the guy had a full setup.
Are they still putting people in there when they pass on who's it closed this is a beautiful place it's like being in a castle what is very beautiful
I think they’re still room in there
Interesting how you can tell the relative age of the wing by comparing the year of inurnment/ interment on the brass nameplates.
At 21.14, what is that marble/granite box/casket thing underneath the stained glass window?
Was there a name visible? When I went to that timestamp, it was the inside of the columbarium where the ashes were
It seems very dark. I haven't looked but have you been to the big Catholic mausoleum in Hayward (?)? It's huge and very beautiful! They have lots of family areas roped off.
Yes been there
So beautiful! Just astonishing how many Deceased people are in California! 🪦🏛 Thanks for sharing💜
I’d be interested to know A: how many souls are housed in this mausoleum, and B: how much in old/modern dollars it costs to be inurned/ interred here.
C'est un endroit somptueux, très propice au recueillement.
Belle vidéo 👌
The place is exquisite! Is it pretty much half and half or is it weighted more columbarium? Tony, did you know Hollywood Forever has a babyland? There’s a gate on the back wall.
I mean just imagine this in an Earthquake!!💀what logistical nightmare..
Like the ones that were crumbling in Italy
You were making mention of how they inter the caskets and the narrowness of the hall that accompanies the crypt-- and I think they have a back way of putting them in. I don't think they bring them upstairs or lift them up and put them in.

It is just my opinion, but to me, the artificial flowers detract from the beauty of the design. They look out of place and garish.
From what I’ve always been told it’s because fresh flowers attract bugs and most mausoleums maybe not all but most of them Request artificial.
@CryptDoor The stained glass, beveled glass, brass and marble were created with such artistry. They are masked by all that artifice of fake colors. @thelmaguaetta1109, and I agree, what I think all those flowers around there makes the glass and everything look like an antique shop!
@@WilliamMitchell-sc3fe looks like an old second hand store. Just saying
I see dead peoples everywhere. 💀!
Hello This Mausoleum is how the dead should be honored , Not like the Mausoleum in Cranston R . I . They treat their dead like trash don't believe me ? Look it up . We in the Netherlands hold our dead in the highest regards as this beautiful place does .
I wonder how old is the Mausoleum for some of those graves go back all the way to the 60s
They told me it goes back to 1927
👍👍👍
You have to wonder what percentage of these niches and crypts are actually visited by friends and relatives of the deceased. All the pictures look to me to be a futile effort to remain part of the living world, when in fact they are not, and are pretty much forgotten.
Not so
Low rate. When the generations change most don't care.
It's beautiful right now. What's it going to look like 50-100 yrs from now, when families no longer pay for the upkeep? There are far too many of these older mausoleum video's on here that question, why would anyone want this for their family?

The polishers, grinders, or vacuum noises are kind of creepy on the video.
I wonder how much they pay to clean this place? I would be interested.
We don't really have these places in the UK, most people buried in graves or cremated.
Just checked most are old crypts in churchyards ,but there are a few new ones London. Space there is a premium, running out of graveyard space.
The place is beautiful the flowers r a little to much
Think about classics movie phantasm
the rails are likely removable fyi
What is that sound?
I bet it’s expensive
They are awfully loud in the office
why all the folding chairs? does it smell? got those bodies in there tight in the cemetery
All the folding chairs so they could probably have a ceremony for somebody that has passed
Not very peaceful with the drilling and the people in the office talking ...but beautiful building. We don't tend to have these above ground burials in the UK unless you are Royalty or very rich.
I see dead peoples everywhere! 💀

I like the mausoleum areas.
This is packed like sardines in there. Congested 😮 Don't like it
Too much loud talking. It distracts from the peaceful time spent with your loved one.
Just a comment. They don’t put the bodies thru the front. If you could see behind, there are hundreds of racks for coffins. They are then sealed from the back.
