Is there a way to make the borders work without going into Fusion? Do you have a Tutorial on alternatives? My system crashes every time I attempt to open the Fusion Page.
To save yourself even more time on fusion, you can add all your images to the timeline, do the coloured border on one, then have the "clips" panel open in the fusion pages, select all your other images, then middle mouse click on the one image with the border, and it will copy to all the selected images saving you a ton of time.
You know there are so many ways to use this information. I'm working on a client's training program and I can already see how I can use this to make it pop. I can also use this for my travel videos and product reviews. Sweet! Thanks Alex. Your making me a better creator one video ata time. Stay Crispy. 🥂
For those having trouble with the color border (border in the underlay instead of the photo). Delete photo from timeline, then Go to file>project settings>image scaling and under mismatched resolution files select center crop with no resizing, add the photo again to timeline repeat the entire process and this should solve the problem.
For Image Resizing, if you're using Windows 10/11, you can download Microsoft PowerToys, a set of freeware system utilities designed for power users developed by Microsoft for use on the Windows operating system. PowerToys includes an image resizer that once launched, provides a resize option in the right-click menu of any images; there are presets (including 1920x1080) and you can also create your own custom sizes.
The volume of positive comments speaks volumes. Thank you, managed to make a half decent slide reel of my niece. Still struggling a bit with making the adjustment clips look good with pitch and yaw. Taken from a buried comment reply but the font is Imogen Agnes. And the comment suggesting copying and pasting the coloured border in Fusion to the rest of your images was very helpful too.
Fantastic video-great looking slideshow. Thanks for educating me. Your my go to channel on your tube. A good follow up would be how to turn this into a template with photo placeholders. Don’t see anything like this on RUclips
Thank you! I never would have imagined it was this easy and thus wouldn't have bothered trying because I just don't have hours to spend attempting. Seeing techniques like this with easy to understand instructions makes it possible for someone like me to pull off these cool effects. I don't understand DaVinci enough to figure these out on my own. Your videos bridge that gap between understanding the program enough to use it and understanding it enough to see an effect and know how to reproduce it. I am nowhere near the latter. lol!
My guy this Is awesome! I Will definitely use your technic in some of my presentations. Thanks for all of your tips, I found the Chanel like a month ago and It has been really helpful for me.
This is Davinci Resolve tech info and creativity at its best. Alex even took away my Fusion anxiety. This is a great effect and a super educational tutorial.
Hey @MrAlexTech Thank you so much, we applied this in so many of my clients' work! BTW We would love to see you update this tutorial, now that we have a less fusion heavy effect from paper edge in Davinci Resolve, and maybe so newers tools from DVR.
One of my favorite Davinci Resolve videos of all time. Outstanding !!! You've really made this seem so easy and straightforward to accomplish. Thank you for all of your hard work in putting such great content together. You get a "subscribe" IMO. Boom!!!
Thank you soooooooo much for this tutorial. I just used your video to create our welcome video and the next upcoming episode. We film a cooking show and this is a great way to display some of our food photography. Cheers!
A quick suggestion for the workaround: Create one sample with dropshadow, zoom-level and Fusion-Border, make a copy with ALT-Drag, set the cursor to the start of the copy and replace it with another jpg with F10.
Love this, will try to see if i can make anything similar but with 4 different map layers. Like you moving around on a map background! Thank you again Alex 👏🏻🔥
@@MrAlexTech will sure do that! Almost like the seamless swiping you see on Instagram kinda way! I just saw the whole thing before me when you explained this so easy! Will keep you posted, again, brilliant stuff mate 🔥👏🏻
BRILLIANT! For better or worse, my older sister is in Greece on holiday...I might have to spend a couple weeks using the ALT key on her hundreds of images...just for practice, mind you. :P 100% again. Thank you!!
I know this is an older video but thank you so much these little effects are awesome. You truly do some of the best easy to follow quick tutorials I have ever seen.
Thanks for this video - this helped me create a really nice memorial video for a family funeral and I'm glad I could add some of these effects to really take it up a gear. My original just looked like a powerpoint slideshow of images 😅
This was a great one. I was fiddling around too much with keyframes just want to animate images. That push transition I should have used much earlier! In my case though I don't want to push them out completely but just one bit at at a time and feather them out at the edges of the slideshow. Also depending on how long I want to talk about a point those images have to have individual timings how long they occupy the central part. I hope I can make it work with push.
Than you! The timing is perfect for a project I agreed to do and was planning on spending hours in trial and error creating. I love your content, sir. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Thanks MrAlexTech - I followed this video and made a photo slide show at the back of my video. See the last few minutes of my "1929 Leyland Lion" video. Thank you again!
MrAlexTech, you're the Bob Ross of DR! 🙏🙏😁👍 Sorry couldn't get here earlier, 'cause i was busy makin silly cat video for my other channel! Of course, i used the adjustment clip, and can U guess where did i learn the technique? 🤔😉😋
Haha thanks, I'm cool with that! 'Grab yourself cup of iced tea and come with me on this chilled out journey into Davinci Resolve, oh and don't forget there's no mistakes, only happy accidents 😄'
Fusion is ace! But remember you dont always need it 😁👌
I m more comfortable in fusion😂😂nice tutorial tho💞

@@kgouvia crop a generated background under the picture and then make them both into a compound clip.

Glad to hear it dude 😊👍 As long as people are still getting something from my tuts then I'll keep making them 🙂

Also tried this, but same issue. Wonder if there is a workaround I missed
Game changer! When I saw the intro I thought lots of fusion to follow, but great to see clever use of zoom and transitions. Fantastic as always

Fantastic Geoff! I wasn't aware of that. Downloaded and installed. It's a much better solution :)
@@MrAlexTech Glad to be able to help after all the fantastic tutorials you've provided us! :)
Thanks for this tip with Power Toys! I had it for keyboard remapping and haven't found another use to me... Until now!
@@brerudd You're welcome. I'm just happy to be able to contribute something, lol! :)
Yeah, that's gold -- thanks for mentioning PowerToys. I've been using RIOT.
