Hi Alex, thanks for tips. I have one too: if a large image is causing any stuttering, I just create a proxy for it. It takes no space (it is just one frame) and makes the work with the image flawless, even without previous converting. Moreover, the resolution is kept for later rendering that is especially useful if the picture is zoomed.

I cannot for the life of me figure this out. I have a middle click but it apparently is not recognized by my Resolve 18. Under "Nodes" I can right click the "ColoredBorder" effect and then I can paste that one by one on the subsequent images in the clips. If I multi-select, only the first image in the selected sequence gets the effect. "Apply Composition" does nothing for me. Can you elaborate on how to get the white border, en masse, without the middle click? This is driving me crazy!

Humm. I zoomed out my image. Went in fusion, and on the outside of my image, it’s the transparent background. When I add the coloured border, it adds it around the outside of the window instead of the image. So I’m left with the border, transparent border then picture. I can stretch it but then it’s no different then adding a solid colour. Anyone have this issue too? I use the studio version

I almost despaired of the Colored Border effect. Nothing worked, the border was always drawn around the whole frame instead of just around the image. The only remedy was to scale the images to a maximum edge length in the video dimensions of the project. And this is exactly what is explicitly recommended at the beginning of the video. Thanks for the inspiration! BTW: Davinci Resolve 18.6.

If possible make an easy tutorial for skin tone .....all other tuts I found were just too lengthy and also not good...🙂well I m just lazy I guess
Or you can also do a video on color grading on mobile footage...didn’t see that much

I needed to make a slide show. Found this video. Amazingly helpful and informative. I always feel helpless up against the Davinci interface because who knows where things are. Your video made the slide show easy to get right. Thanks!

great tutorial - falling at the almost first hurdle of adding the white border. It's being added to the frame and not the resized picture. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Could you please make a tutorial about audio spectrum inside davinci resolve, all the tutorials I've found aren't that good... It'll be much appreciated 😁

Very nice video. I have a problem though. On my MacBook with M1 and Davinci Studio version 18 I follow your sequence exactly. However, whenever I have added the border to the still clips in fusion, the clip is just blank in the timeline (the other clips for which I had not opened in fusion work fine). I had this problem with other fusion edits on early versions. Does anyone have an idea what may have happened? I have no idea!

Hi Alex great video, how would u make the background image be something other than the foreground image. For instance an American flag or a church etc in background and the crop still in foreground.. maybe a video playing in background thanks..
