My favorite car of all time, the regular NSX was more of a compromise of performance and luxury. However the NSX R was all about performance. No other japanese car could touch the R best car to ever come out of Japan!!
The drive by wire was copied by Gordon Murray also. He openly admitted to using it in the McLaren F1. Along with ally suspension. According to him Honda must of made a loss on each one.
I didn't agree with his throttle evaluation either I have the 97 Na2 car, when I get on it she screams. If there was a lag associated this the fky by wire they wouldn't have put in on the F16.
Now that's a great video and comments and seeing I'm just off to work in my 91' NSX it really has gotten me excited. The Gentleman's agreement in the 90's to keep bhp under 280 was a problem for Honda as the engine was up to 290bhp so the cheapest way was to add a cast iron log exhaust which muffled the car to 270bhp. The muffler was not changed very much over the years but recently I changed to the 02 downpipes and the engine note is more angry and the VTEC is noticeable compared with a smooth transition before. After 4,000rpm it pulls VERY hard. Tires have changed a lot over 30 years so cheap ones are very good now. Nankung (subsidiary of Yokohama) NS2 or HS2R. Also a full bucket seat will give you the feeling of every part of the car but not convenient to slide into. Enjoy.
eeh, no matter how good of a handling it is, calling it a supercar is a stretch even by that time's standards. really well developed sportscar for sure.

That's not an NSX-R that's being featured it's a standard model with a Pearl White Paint Option.
@@jasonharadon I onow that's not a NSX R I never said it was, I only said that the NSX is my favorite car in any model form.
Lol you still think type R is that special in 2020? Come on time to wake up.
is not even the R
And that's not a bad thing. The R can be a bit harsh for everyday driving or on a long trip.

This channel needs more subs. Keep the quality content going.you'll be real big
Hmm... throttle by wire can easily beat the response of the mechanical counterpart. It's just not widely used in eco box cars.

omg yay nsx
Absolutely gorgeous! That rearend is iconic.
5:00 this view and music is like 80's USA movies
Good catch! Music is specially selected to match the era of the cars we review!

Nothing beats a pure non modded nsx
What makes this a $100k car?
The Vtecs Yo
it's a legend, one of the greatest cars of all time
Here In Germany, Mk4 Supra was the Japanese 928, Honda NSX was the Japanese M1
Ayrton Senna helped only for 1989 Honda NS-X proto type shasis development.
VTEC kicks in around 6000 RPM..
about 5800 RPM on the NSX. Also VVIS opens up at 4600, it changes the engine note quite a lot too.
Everyone gets fanboyish in an NSX! 😀
That garage its heaven 😍😍
neat
lmao
2:08 C30A not C38!
C38 would mean the engine would be a 3.8L 😂😂😂😂
@@MITONFILMS I'd take a 3.8L NSX... don't think the C30A or C32B can be bored/stroked out that large though lol
NSX is a legend but this video is very poor.

What's you definition of a Supercar? This was a hand built, all aluminum mid, engine exotic that directly competed with Porsche and Ferrari .
it was an exotic when it came, competed in the exotic car category against ferrari, so yes supercar is an understatement. it was an exotic supercar.
The prices have climbed up to 6 figures now? SHEESH
