That's never going to happen. They're slowly removing timers or time based effects from all jobs and moving to stacks and meter management. That's just the direction the game is going because that makes it easier for them to job balance around having bigger time consuming set pieces in fights. Edit: It also means they can afford to interrupt you with more mechanics. I dont want to go back to the times when some jobs were *less than desirable* in PF due to mechanics screwing up their rotation too much.
You know I've mained WAR since shb, the highest alt job I've had has been my 70 MNK and I was thinking with this xpac ide finally try a DPS and push MNK to max...guess I'm sticking to good ol reliable WAR 🙃

Personally I don’t main monk but the main reason I like it is for being able to flow between different combos, not so much for managing buffs and debuffs. I have faith they’ll still make the job fun despite getting rid of them.

They're patching the raw dragonkick in the very first balance patch. 7.0 feels like they finished the rework they started in Endwalker. I would rather they commit to a new setup than half-ass it like they did through all of EW. Dragonkick rotation is not back. Oporot rotation (Raw dragonkick after bootshine\Opo Leap) is temporary and not a huge deal. Yes, the class has a critical strike positive feedback loop and always has, so maximizing your auto-crits will always, always be a priority. Do we really prefer maintaining three separate timers over this? Dungeons are way less frustrating. Trials\Bosses are way more interesting since you get to make micro judgement calls constantly, and the only hard timer is ensuring your buffs don't drift by.. pressing them. Also massive boss cutscenes and jumps don't completely f**k us over anymore. This is better.

it was a slight DPS increase in 7.0 but it got immediately patched as of today with Arcadion's release because it was not part of yoship's vision.
