Decent load for the old steam engine, was expecting a diesel at the rear of the train. Great clips there young Brad, was someone standing with you as I heard some "shutter splutter". I like that Buffet car, wonder where they got that from, ex The Overland?
Would go close to full load on the return I suspect, and while it was a surprise to see no diesel I was happy to see it that way. There were a few up on the hill with me, it's probably the most popular vantage point in Castlemaine especially for the VGR. The buffet car is BRS9, formerly BRS229 as converted by V/Line in the 1980's.
I like seeing the old and new side by side, great vid , yes
