Before I got into nursing, I worked as a housekeeper at a retirement home for 3 years. I worked on almost every floor for over 100 different residents, and was there long enough to see residents passing away or needing to move to long term care or memory care. Although it's morbid to say, I could always predict which ones would go downhill faster. Since I wasn't a doctor or nurse (yet), I knew I couldn't say much unless they were receptive to it, because older people in my country are very firm about listening to their doctor. But the ones who were open, I always made a point to say: start by staying away from sugar and grains, eat more meat to compensate, and see how you feel.

    Hello Dr.
My grandmother had Alzheimer’s, it was so sad to see the grandmother you knew just lose her mind and change completely. Looking back, and knowing what I now know it’s no wonder she did, with the way she ate. Now my mother is getting older and there is a very big risk that she too will get Alzheimer’s. She has diabetes, gout, and fatty liver etc etc. So she avoids red meat as much as possible and she avoids fatty foods, because she doesn’t have a gallbladder anymore.
She’s quite overweight, so much working against her. She thinks good health is not possible for her anymore so she will not even try. Both my parents are stuck in the time where fat was the enemy and whole grains were the best things. So they scoff at keto and really balk at only meat.
If they only knew! I hate that they have to suffer because they won’t try something different. They are concerned that I feed my daughter a ketovore diet. She’s so much healthier than most of her cousins and friends, and it’s quite evident, by the lack of ear infections, digestion and skin problems.
Of course it could also be due to no vaccinations… but that’s a whole another story.

*The Bible is the only book with 100% accurate Prophecy.* Many of these were written hundreds of years before they came to pass, and the Dead Sea Scrolls prove this.
*The Bible is real. Jesus is real.* Seek Him with a humble and open heart, and you’ll find Him!!
Jesus died on the cross and *shed His blood to pay the price for our sins.* He was buried and rose three days later (and was later taken up to heaven, but He left the Holy Spirit for us!). 🕊 *1 Corinthians 15*
If you *believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead* and *confess with your mouth that He is Lord,* you will be saved. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved! ❤️ *Romans 10*

The Bible describes people living until 120 after the flood. It also talks about people living now 70 to 80 years because it talks about a generation being 70 years and if it is 80 it's full of woe, but I believe the 70 to 80 passage is actually talking about the generation being applied to The Nation of Israel. Sorry, I know that is going in a different direction, but just had to throw that out there, so I do believe we can and should be living until 120.

My biggest fear growing older is dementia or altzheimers. As of this writing I am 53 years old. I'm seeing a lot of RUclips videos pointing at high cholesterol as a key driver of altzheimers. Yet at the same time they also say high grain diet also contributes to it. I'm not 100% carnivor but close. I do eat apples sometimes and occasional French fry. But the bulk of my diet is beef steaks, ground beef, pork sausage, bacon, and pasture raised eggs. My recent blood test was impressive to my doctor with the exception of my cholesterol. Total cholesterol was 240 and LDL is 138. My doctor is telling me to increase fiber, reduce fatty meat consumption and exercise more. I realize for legal reasons you can't tell me my doctor is wrong but are there studies or even anecdotal evidence that shows my cholesterol numbers are fine and fatty meat is my friend and it won't cause altzheimers?

There are tons of great videos that will set your mind at ease on this topic (by Dr. Chaffee, Dr. Cywes, Judy Cho, Dr. Sarah Zaldivar, Dr. Ken Berry, Nina Teicholtz, and many other).
Also, statistically, in people over 60, the total cholesterol level that is correlated with highest longevity is 220, so I think any doctor who urges you to go below that should be sued for malpractice. Or at least given a stern talking to! 😠
Cholesterol is your friend. It is neuroprotective. It fulfills many vitally important functions in your body. If it's "high" (a totally arbitrary term that changes meaning every few years) it's because your body is using it to save some problem. It NEEDS to be high until the problem is solved. You don't put out fires by shooting all the firemen, right?
