I wish I lived in Cleveland, Dr. Hyman. I was diagnosed with semantic dementia this week. Thank god for your brilliant video. I am sure I will watch it several times and find your books and books by Dr. Bredesen.
Throw away your sugar pot and pasta, bread packets todau. Skip breakfast, stick with carb and sugar free lunch and dinner. No food after sunset. You will recover 100% without any meditation. Good luck on your recovery.
Dementia runs in our family. Last few years stopped all carbs and no sugar. We do not buy pop or juice. Family does not miss It! Let's Keep our fingers crossed can only say l tried!
So glad you haven’t just excepted it runs in the family many times it does because your all doing the same things and kinda excepting it’s your fate, it take ppl like you in a family to say hold on “ does it”? My mum and sister eat processed foods sugar sugar and more sugar, believing it’s not the foods making them ill, I try but they are so brainwashed by gps and food ads, that all I can do is watch and keep trying, it’s extremely frustrating 😤 as my mums memory is failing super fast 🥲 but hats off to you honestly well done, I wish you all the best ❤️
Ageing With Grace. By Dr David Snowdon (The Nuns Study.) A very interesting book about how the Nuns from Notre Dame lived with dementia shows how their lifestyle showed no dementia present, however, after their deaths, pathologist reports showed otherwise! Amazing read and well written 😮
...and my kidney health improved in stages...kidney disease free as of March 2024. GREAT WISDOM HERE...THANK you for having research to prove that for me!!!
Thank you Dr Bredesen for your persistance in determining the causes of neurodegenerative disease. You definitely are on to something, don't let the naysayers stop you.❤😊
Yes there is. Healthy people are people who can and are working, thus paying taxes, to pay for the system. Healthy people also pay their insurance premiums and make few or no claims. Your argument is specious at best.
@@DennisBolanos Why is it that you resort to name calling? A healthy society is a better functioning and in the end a more prosperous society. But in the process bad health can divert money to pharmaceutical interests and medical entities. That conclusion is not specious. It is reality.
I believe Bredesen's advice but at the same time I believe that not everything he says is the cause of reversing the disease. I simply can't believe that carbohydrates, sugar, flour, etc. are the cause of mental illnesses, because if that were the cause, many more people would have these illnesses. How about the case of Donald Gorske? 50 years eating BigMac, he is a famous case but we all know tons of people whose diet is very similar and only a few develop dementia. I think the secret to preventing or reversing these diseases is just to do a lot of physical exercise and a lot of mental exercise...and have a relatively good diet...

Excellent first steps. Have you started the time restricted eating windows as well? No eating three hours before bed and a fasting window of 12 - 16 hours?
At the end of a church potluck, the fruit salad dessert was offered with regular or zero sugar Cool Whip. Some said they'd like the fruit without the Cool Whip, and I said I'd like the zero sugar Cool Whip without the fruit. 😁 Well, still a mistake...later looked up the ingredients: #1 water, #2 corn syrup, #3 hydrogenated veg oil...🤮. But seriously, how can it be labelled ZERO sugar with corn syrup as the second ingredient!?!
My mother is 94 and has cognitive decline. I have improved her diet and it’s a work in progress. I see a huge difference when she is eating keto or even close to it. I haven’t brought her to neurologist because I can’t afford a functional med doc and I am afraid a mainstream neurologist will do more bad than good. We live in southeastern MA, open to any suggestions
Yes and toxicities. That's why they talk about how important autophagy is; expelling cellular toxins and debris and turning over new cells while repairing DNA during long hours of fasting during sleep.
I am 75 with double APOE 4 - and MCI. All my family died with dementia. I was formally of well above average intelligence. Is it worth it for me to "fight" it - prolong it? I don't want to put my family through it again. I want to thank both of you for your books.
Alice, a number my family members also died with dementia. I’m fighting what is certainly not inevitable. To start, I’ve cut out carbs, alcohol and junk food. Am following 16:8 intermittent fasting. I’m not a doc so hopefully someone can respond to your APOE 4 and MCI.
Alice, It sounds like you have a 50 percent increased risk. Diet, exercise and preventing diabetes of the brain ( aka insulin resistance) will maximize your odds of those genes not being triggered.
I would test for the MTHFR gene mutation as well. At least 40% of the population has it, and it is associated with Alzheimer's. High levels of homocysteine in your blood is another sign of this gene mutation. If you test positive, you should quit taking synthetic B vitamins, and take methylated forms of B vitamin instead (methylated B12 in particular due to your age).. Good luck...
This is very eye opening. My lovely mother passed from dementia at the age of 86... she was thin all her life, she smoked... still she beat stage 3 ovarian cancer... took no regular medication... doctors said she had the heart of a teenager.... so I've been trying to figure out what caused the dementia and it has to have been diet? She loved her pastries and coffee. Took no supplements either. Wasn't an athletic woman that's for sure. Don't know how she stayed so thin.
We hear of specialists (neurologists) saying "Whatever you're doing, keep on doing it. " ... But they NEVER ask... "What is it, tell me." Or... "I'll share this method with my other patients." Because it's a sick system folks. Not a health system.
El doctor Bredensen es lo máximo. Dios lo bendiga por siempre. Estoy siguiendo su REDECO y estoy viendo mejoría en mi padre. Bendito Dios, por este doctor 🙏🙏
I just had a small blizzard from Dairy Queen last night which really raised my blood 🩸 sugar levels and made me feel sleepy 😴 this morning. The sugars in the blizzard ice cream 🍨 are ridiculously high and full of processed junk.
Thank you, Drs. Hyman and Breseden! You're truly doing life changing work! ❤ I lost my mother to this disease. I wish I had known about your work way back when. But at least I know going forward. I can't thank you enough!
Remember to give definitions to some of the terms you are using. Many don’t understand exogenous and endogenous, for example. Thanks for the important information. Sincerely.
Yes, very encouraging approach! I have also begun to understand more about Laws of physics, how they are very under=recognized as having very important detrimental biologic effects, and are NOT informing engineering outcomes to adequately support a medical paradigm that has good lifestyle practices, rather than symptom abatement focus with expensive drugs. The engineering change from incandescent lighting to LED and florescent lighting after dark, narrowed our light spectrum exposure in a more pathogenic way, effectively increasing cortisol into the night. This harms the brain by reducing repair mechanisms of good sleep. We have been exquisitely adapted to daylight (the whole span of wavelengths beyond the visible), This adaptation is 'nature', when we decide to just take a very narrow band of the whole visible portion, we isolate our exposures from the wholistic beneficial checks and balances of all wavelengths from daylight. Yes, we have 'light' at night, but w/o the checks and balances. This disrupts many physiologic pathways! Laws of physics DO apply to biology, and we had better be more scientifically aware of how we are disregarding the ways the our complex systems were adapted to. IMHO. Quantum biology is essential to consider how, and why, we eat light, just like we eat food. Junk light is just as bad for us as junk food.
Brilliant perspective. What's your take on the big Bugaboos like 5G and blue light? Do you turn your router off at night or limit your exposure to computers and phones at night?
Well, those are BIG subjects. My post above relates closely to the isolated blue light w/o the mixing with near infra red, and with other bandwidths that are modifiers of blue light that is producing conditions of increased cortisol (fight or flight inducement when that response is not needed. Many bodily systems down regulate when we are jacked up for fight or flight. Over time these harms can add up to pathogenicity IMHO. And, non-native EMF radiation that we were not evolutionarily adapted for in intensity and duration, has research support as being harmful. Up to 4G, I understand that the power is broadly distributed around the areas people might be exposed in, and could be having detrimental physiologic effects, but I am even more concerned about the move to 5G technology. I am not any expert or even very knowledgeable at any level of confidence about the concerns other with much more knowledge are beginning to question the wisdom of utilizing the physics involved. Apparently, they are concerned that the beams of power are then NOT broadcast in a dispersed fashion, but more 'point to point' to retain the data load functions necessary. I wonder, if such energy levels are numerous in a crowded venue, how much can a brain tolerate if several, or numerous beams happen to cross in any one brain? Could a concert or other gathering bring enough power beams targeted to all of the devices people are carrying, enough to cause damage, either additively, or synergistically? Hmmmm, they need to show extensive science research to begin to reduce my concerns, and so far, I have not seen enough. Is there enough done, really?@@efrenwilliams9118
@@raykinney9907 My I’m afraid I don’t fully understand what seem like excellent points. I do appreciate your summing up in which you recommend “good lifestyle practices, rather than symptom abatement focus with expensive drugs.” Brilliant! Now could you explain as succinctly your recommendations about light. What light sources would you recommend and what light sources would you avoid? I am very very old and need simple explanation. Would be very much appreciated. “Junk light is just as bad as junk food.” What is junk light? Please explain for the dim witted. :).
Well, I too am vey old, and need simple explanations in an unimaginably complex world of biology (I'm 78). A year ago I did not know very much about light, and the other wavelengths beyond those that are visible, and still am just beginning to know a bit more. I've been listening to an optical engineer (Scott Zimmerman) being interviewed about light and radiation, some on You Tube. For more than a million years we have been adapted to living outdoors a high percentage of the time, being bathed in light of all wavelengths. Obviously, these adaptations allowed us to thrive. Now, our large brains decided to live largely indoors most of the time, and work indoors. So, we brought light in with us, but only a very small sampling of the wide range of exposures we were adapted to living well with. Much of what we left outside was VERY beneficial to us, but no longer was helping to blend well with the narrow band of visible light we brought inside. Now, we are finding that we are getting sicker because we interrupted the symphony of outside light. The first lightbulbs in wide use were incandescent, and had a wider bandwidth of mixed light, including invisible near infra red which was very beneficial in helping the light be just a little bit more healthful than the visible produced. However, now, we have switched to LEDs and fluorescent lights of very narrow bandwidths, and Without the NIR benefits. This is 'junk light', and it leaves out a lot of beneficial light. By spending much of our daytime inside, and under junk lights all evening, we damage our biology. One way we do this is to alter our abilities to sleep in beneficial ways were were evolutionarily adapted to. This makes us sicker! That is my shortest answer, and it is far more complicated, with a lot of existing science research literature to begin to clarify it, but I now know enough to be worried that we should be spending far more time outside in the daylight. And we did NOT bring adequate kinds of wavelengths inside with us, and evidence increases that it is making us sicker.@@ContinentsEdge
@@raykinney9907 Thank you again for your near-comprehensive explanation of the disadvantages of LED and fluorescent lights. It set me off on a quest for incandescent light bulbs only to learn that starting last year they are banned nationwide under a fine of over $2,000 dollars. This general ban seems to me to be ill advised. I now begin a search in my big house for incandescent bulbs buried somewhere in the basement. Hope to run into you again sometime, Mr Kinney.
Uric acid from too many high purine foods was what caused these issues in my Mom. I lowered them and her mind & memory improved instantly and was able to comprehend again. Already had her on a healthy diet. Her bbb was letting this in for whatever reason. How to protect bbb ?
This is so sad that in the uk we can’t get even 1% of any of this treatment from our primary care physicians. You’re lucky if you can get an appointment! It seems that there is quite a bit you can do for yourself but without any tests you are flying blind and maybe not even discovering any toxins or deficiencies that you personally have. They just seem to throw drugs at you! Great video but as I say it makes me so sad!
We dont get this kind of care in the US either! Just because Dr Hyman is a trailblazer and shares his medical information on RUclips, doesn’t mean 99.9% of Americans get anywhere near this kind of medical care. We all get the opposite kind. We watch Dr Hyman to learn what to ask for, but still we don’t get it from our American doctors.
You are correct that the nutritional value of plants has dropped, but the reason is not the soil only. Yes, conventional soil gets depleted faster and is one reason I only eat organic grown plants. The main reason however is the variety of plants we use now. Industry asked the creator of varieties to create plants with following properties: good looks, high yields, long storage life and resistance to pests and dieses. Some of those properties get created by using F1 hybrids like tomatoes, that are actually sterile or unripe in the inside. This is also the reason conventional food does not taste good anymore, you can taste the micro-nutrients that this will create a rich flavor. But since this is everywhere, people just forget how a real vegi should taste like. If you plant an old species in a soil, rich of humus, you will get the same nutrient value then 100 years ago. A good organic farmer knows: his primary product is producing good soil and the plants that come out of it are the fruits of creating soil. Thanks fo the good insights. This confirms my monthly food cycle of 3-4 days fasting, 1 week vegi-keto and the rest vegetarian as a good way forward :)
HUGE fan of both of you. Could I get your feedback? ….I’m 52 now with no symptoms of cognitive decline….BUT….for about 5 years in my early teens….I LITERALLY soaked my hands in TCE. I would wrench on old motors. I bought Trichloroethylene By the gallons and would soak my hands in it as I was cleaning parts. For years. I have 1 copy of the Apoe4 gene. My grandfather was a famous filmmmaker and died of Parkinson’s. My dad is my hero and currently has severe Alzheimer’s. My dad is a lifelong sugar addict. Pre-diabetic, etc. I now live SUPER healthy. Anything I can do to prevent/delay future congnitive decline? I know vigorous exercise is #1 and great sleep and fasting and low glycemic food. I do all that. No drugs or alcohol. Now. Oh boy i drank sooooo much whiskey in my 30s. I don’t think i have the brightest future. Any advice? I would LOVE to participate in any trials.
Amazing video - explained clearly and very simple to understand for everyone. It is good there might be a light at the end of the tunnel if exercising, healthy diet and brain exercises - Well done doctors
Yes, accumulation of the toxic metal lead in our bones, as a protective measure to protect soft tissue, still leaves a remobilization problem when the body come into stresses of illness, old age, or pregnancy where the body must rapidly seek more calcium to deal with the physiologic stresses. we each have accumulated 100 to 1000 times the lead that was accumulated in prehistoric bones. This causes much higher levels of toxic risk in soft tissues, especially in brain, at the most vulnerable of times. IMHO. We need to understand continuing risks to our lifetime accumulated portions of bone-sequestered lead pollution.
Chemicals preservatives E numbers cause inflammations without people realising that they are biggest culprits plus careless nutrition diets !!!! instead of being health conscious 😢 and not taking responsibility 😢it's a type of abuse to one's self 😮
My aunt has a huge sweet tooth, her diet is mostly carbs; she’s 88 years old, her doctor says her lab numbers are great and she’s sharp as a tack. I don’t eat junk food, only eat organic foods and exercise yet she’s in better health than I am. What gives?
Between the VA and my medicare Dr I get excellent care but they dont get much time with you. I am a Ret nurse so thank God I can researh everthing. Really try to stuff you with statins I said no way. Thank youfor all your info. Berberine helped me lower my LDL.
I hear what you say but it all sounds so complicated. Can you break it down as an idiots guide, say a daily programme of what to eat and when? And how do you get all these tests in the UK?
Drs. Bredensen, Hyman, Berry, Chaffee, and Baker need to get on one podcast together and duke it out with regard to the need for fiber and vegetables. This is why people are so friggin confused about what to eat. This advice from Bredensen about how, when, and what to eat is too complicated. Do humans really need a handbook on how to eat ? All other species know what to eat without direction.
Alzheimers disease is increasing, obesity is rising and the majority of people are eating large amounts of highly processed sugar laden foods. Apparently we do need specific instructions on how to eat.
Eat Liver! Beef, lamb, chicken, duck......get it in at least once or twice a week. Cook your onions first in tallow, bacon grease, or coconut oil. Take the perfect onions out and then cook the liver quickly and add the heap of onions for the last minute - eat w good salt and you get more of a nutrient fix than anything else! Even "Dr. Leaning Plant Based" mentions liver right from the top as a great source of Choline!
Trying all I can to avoid dementia. Not going back to plants for flavonoids though. Eating pure Carnivore so zero carbs. Exercise, brain training, social etc. All the other research I’ve followed has said I’m on the right track.
You must only be listening to carnivore advocates. It is not a well balanced diet to follow long term. It’s an elimination diet that works for some, mostly by cutting out processed junk and sugar.
Yes, as brain mitochondria get more impaired functionally, availability of energy must logically get rationed to continue supporting the most essential brain cells, but that may not mean that many cells that get down-regulated, are killed off outright, but are 'hibernating, awaiting better conditions. Ketone fueling of the brain as done by baby fat in babies, can support brain metabolism, perhaps even better than solely with glucose. We can probably wake many braincells up.
I think that the research on ketone use by the body as a brain fuel is very important to support with much more funding! And, what has been done so far, makes a LOT of sense with adaptive evolution around seasonality of foods available in prehistoric times.
Went thru early surgical menopause (38) as well as platinum chemotherapy, no hrt. Just lost my Mother to dementia. I am 18 years from menopause trying to do what I can via diet, exercise and mental activity. Anything other than hrt to protect my brain? I also have a high ldl particle number.
I think that we need to look at the "behavior" issues with children who live on food stamps (soda and crap) who live where the environment is toxic and stop treating them for diseases, and treat the context - Dementia and children's "cognitive impairment" may have common roots
The food stamp program incentivizes healthy eating with giving discounts for fruits and vegetables so hopefully in the near future people on the food stamp program would be eating the healthiest out of everyone
How do you know people on food stamps live on soda and crap? Oh that's right. You don't know. There is a specific study conducted by the USDA available online if you'd like to learn the facts. This study tracked SNAP benefits with regular purchases. Overall, there were no major differences in the expenditure pattern in SNAP and nonSNAP households. * 40 cents of every dollar was spent on meat, fruit, bread ,vegetables, milk, and eggs. * 20 cents went to sweetened beverages, deserts, Salty snacks, candy and sugar. * 40 cents spent on cereal, prepared foods, dairy products, rice and beans. Who exactly would decide what food items are allowed to be purchased? How about cereal? No cereal or just certain cereal? It's very clear adults receiving SNAP benefits are not living on junk food and are making the same food purchases as the rest of us. The last thing we need is the food police. 🙄

Jabs injuring autonomous nervous system increased those issues. And doctors know it very well. You can have the best diet in the world but if you get the "right" dose you re ruined. I was really fit and healthy a gym maniac now life ruined forever after 2nd dose of pfizer.
I had complete muscle failure 9 hours after second Moderna vaccine and similar response 5 hours later. Took many weeks of wobbly walk 50 feet at a time before partial health returned. I now have neuropathy that might be a result of the whole ordeal. I did not report my reaction to the federal reporting system because I, honestly, was too sick. Neurologists at prestigious university told me that they knew of such a response, but they were too hush-hush about it to say anything more.

I have gout at 53. A few of those mentioned for Choline except eggs are a nightmare for me sadly. Yes! Fruit Flavonoids most folks don’t do on Keto. So we are basically deficient in all our minerals and vitamins.
The big 4 mineral deficiencies would be possible if your diet is particularly high in refined carbs, like mac n cheese, and pizza, or pasta w butter, or a bit of tomato sauce, throw some chicken nuggets, some fries, maybe. This is the diet of most american kids. ,Aanyone who is eating meat would not have a zinc deficiency, and ppl who are not eating bountiful fresh fruits and vegetables are deficient in potassium, and magnesium is found mostly in green vegetables. not using iodized salt, or not eating seafood would explain an iodine deficiency. In other words, eating whole some fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and some meat and seafood, would take care of those particular deficiencies, and many many others. After volunteering at my kids schools, and attending birthday parties, i realized most kids barely touch real fresh food. maybe a carrot stick if they're lucky. This is how most kids get their start in life. Its sad.
Hi Dr. Bredesen & Dr. Hyman, If I have Alzheimer’s disease, can the Sx will be reduced and gradually gone if I have correct diet (food and exercise)? I deeply and sincerely thank a lot for your help, answering my questions 🙏🙏🙏
This is all very fascinating but, know someone who has and has had a terrible "diet" and has no dementia or brain problems at over 95 years old. I know someone else who was very, very health/diet conscious (even before it was popular) with good and clean diet the whole life...and this person got sever dementia and wound up dying in nursing home. Can you explain this? I think Trauma should be considered in these discussions. The 95 year old with the very bad diet is a narcissist has no dementia 🤷♀️
Excellent, now include quantum biology as a huge significance for additional understanding that is not recognized within the current medical paradigm IMHO. Junk light is just as bad as junk food.
I think content on heart disease and diabetes have become saturated and now the focus of content will be on dementia, alzheimer or whatever aspects that people are very concerned or fear about.
Hi..great discussion..is there a transcript of this podcast..lots of info to read about .Is there a functional medicine in Ontario Canada? Thanks for looking at the big picture. Most MD as so nieve on this type of medical care.
Yes I would like like to know too. Up to now I've heard a ketogenic diet with saturated fats was a good thing. But just Googling now I came across a research paper which says those with Apoe4 should consume a Mediterranean diet rather than keto. So damn confusing and it sucks
I have Alzheimer's, I always had what I believe to be a healthy diet. I have herpes and a continuing runny nose. What can I do to prevent cognitive decline?
I don't seem to do well fasting for a full 12 hours. I have low blood sugar/hypoglycemia and feel terrible after about 10 to 11 hours, usually ending up around 11am because I get ravenously hungry at night, and crave some carbs with my protein (like beans/legumes, quinoa), and start to feel better after eating some protein for breakfast (usually eggs cooked in coconut oil). Is it beneficial to ignore those symptoms and just power through? I don't hear anything in these videos about hypoglycemia. Who can give me an informed opinion about that? Also, I have Parkinson's.
Do not power through. Suggested videos. You already found Mark Hyman. Sten Ekberg. Mindy Pelz. Eric Berg. Eric Westman. Beat diabetes. Start here. If you are taking medication talk to your doctor about a time frame to get off them by following the advice of these videos. If your doctor is not enthusiastic switch to a functional medical doctor. If you are taking medications and you power through the medications will cause mayhem possibly death. Good luck!!!
I can’t see it happening any time soon. Insurance companies refuse to acknowledge acceptable billing codes that clinics try to bill under in functional medicine overseen by licensed physicians. It’s a luxury to afford functional medicine, sadly.
@@PraveenSrJ01 There isn’t one in Arizona that will provide HRT testosterone to women with health insurance. They only take private pay for consultations, which is ridiculously high for blood panels! For every 20 clinics, maybe two will have services for women needing testosterone. It’s like the industry doesn’t believe we need all three to be balanced. They mostly throw estrogen at us and then send us on our way, still unbalanced. It’s a shame! Luckily, you don’t have those problems because you are male.
What does APL mean in medical terms? What is APL? Acute promyelocytic leukaemia (APL) happens when the promyelocytes (a type of blood cell) don't fully develop and become cancerous. APL is an 'acute' leukaemia, which means it develops quickly and needs treatment straight away. APL is rare.
Yes, and what about the insurance industry evidence that many of those treating ED with sildenafil, may really be having significantly (69%) reduced later occurrence of AD? Is that due to nitric oxide signaling increase to allow smooth muscle in endothelial tissue relaxation that enable better blood flow to supply brain mitochondrial function?
Very interesting. The flow of everything is super important good point. Just hydrocephalus can happen from blockages in brain stem flow. That puts compression on everything inside the brain causing all sorts of issue… Many are misdiagnosed with dementia and have hydrocephalus from brain stem compression. As we age our bodies strength lessens and cervical instability may set in creating compression. EDS people can find them selves with this earlier in life. Physics is simple. Nutrient deficiency’s can also lead to such scenarios low salt lead to low salt deficiency then that can cause hormone issues leading to hydrocephalus. Inappropriate secretion of anti diuretic hormone causes fluid retention. Kidney issues can lead to it also. There’s a lot of angles to look at things.
So when a person has Alzheimer's and can't remember things any longer, is it because the memory is gone, or is it because it can't be reached any longer.?

Ketosis is when your body switches from glucose to fats to get its energy from, it happens when after a long fast of 24hrs and some docors said even after 3 or 4 days fasting
My understanding is ketones is what your liver produces for energy when you restrict your sugar intake. Recent studies have shown that ketones are very good for your brain in order to keep from getting dementia. Keep in mind that your body processes fruit, vegetables, grains, and seeds as sugar. A keto "diet" promotes eating more meat and fish which will promote your liver producing more ketones.
beta oxidation of fat creates a form of energy called ketone bodies. There are three ketone bodies, BHB is the best utilized by mitochondria of cells of your body. Beta oxidation of fat is ketogenesis. Using ketone bodies especially BHB for energy is called ketosis. The purpose of switching your body to ketosis is to use fat not sugar for energy. Sugar is really really bad basically for everything. For people who are addicted to sugar, supplement BHB might be the first step but eventually you need to rely on a healthy high fat low(or zero) carb diet to be in ketosis yourself.
What is apoe4?? Please explain what you mean doctors. We do not understand what you are saying. Could be your accent? We need to know this valuable information. Please spell it out or explain properly. Thank you

130 days ago today, I quit sugar, soda, fried food, fast food, ultra processed food, etc. Took on the Mediterranean diet.

I recommend Dr. Eric bergs channel
Also, check out Dr Sten Ekberg. He is excellent on explaining things.
It's hard to stay in ketosis while eating even complex carbs. It may take some practice. If you are craving carbs, you are eating too many carbs.
@@mommalisa52560such a wize comment😊
Can Normotim help in managing anxiety and mood swings?
If I asked my doctor. for any of these tests, my doctor would think I was suffering from dementia or was a hypochondriac or both?
How does this compare to Normotim? Any thoughts?
Are functional physicians going to ever take health insurance?
I can’t see it happening any time soon. Insurance companies refuse to acknowledge acceptable billing codes that clinics try to bill under in functional medicine overseen by licensed physicians. It’s a luxury to afford functional medicine, sadly.
They really should take health insurance. My doctor takes health insurance
Eat the PHD! I think all you need is to eat a carnivore diet and you will be covered for all human required nutrients.
Yes Dr Ken Berry rocks!!!❤
Yep!
I totally agree. Getting all the nutrients needed without having to ‘eat the rainbow’. Don’t need green or orange meat.
I totally agree. My husband has Alzheimer’s and he has been a sugar junky for about 25 years now.
Carnivore is the best way to go. My mind is so much sharper it’s unreal. Vegetables are of no nutritional value. Beef is where it’s at.
What is APL??
Please explain?
Dont know what you are saying….
Does Function Health provide a cognoscopy?
Agree on everything. Again, the need of fibre didn’t convince me.
It removes crap e.g. excess cholesterol and basic crap.😊
Thanks so much!!!
Good to know about such alternatives as surgery is scary.
If you mean a dysfunction or a syndrome both may relate to strengthening muscles and such. I was referring to Ehlers Danlos syndrome.
So when a person has Alzheimer's and can't remember things any longer, is it because the memory is gone, or is it because it can't be reached any longer.?
Short term memory is sacrificed for long term memory. Nutritional approach should be beneficial, unless there is toxicity (black mold, mercury, etc…)
What are the best places to test for APOE4 and Mercury? Thank you!
Answer this please!
23&me told me about Apoe4
also, I read that if one had a very good memory in younger years, they are less likely to develop Alzheimer’s. Is that true?
You almost let the truth slip out about the dangers of the COVID vax in your interview. Good thing you caught yourself. Don’t want to upset the gravy train. 🤑🤑🤑
I’ve recently recorded my breathing while asleep w/ Snore Lab. I heard no apneaic breaths nor snoring and get great sleep scores. My concern is low oxygen levels. Other than a C-pap, what can one do to increase nighttime oxygen levels??

im on anti pscotics so my brain is alreadty on its way to dead. However I eat as much healthy as I can because of the benefits it brings
Many elderly diagnosed with DEMENTIA actually a URINE INFECTION UTI or DEHYDRATION which also causes INFECTION.

What is Ketosis? Please explain in simple terms.
Plenty of videos on it, can't believe you only heard of it now , where you been living?
Can’t believe you took the time to belittle someone for asking a question
What results do you expect from using something like Normotim?
I take 8 supplements per day mostly after my main wonder if I can take them whilst fasting!
What is apoe4??
Please explain what you mean doctors.
We do not understand what you are saying.
Could be your accent?
We need to know this valuable information.
Please spell it out or explain properly. Thank you
What accent? They're speaking perfect English.
Genetic testing can reveal whether you carry 0, 1 or ( like me) 2 copies of apoe4 genes which means I'm screwed and destined to go Joe Biden
ApoE 4 is a genetic variant of a gene that I increases the risk of Alzheimers disease
It's a gene that increase the chance of developing AD.
APoE4 is a genetic allele or gene.
