I'm glad this is something that exists on your channel now because I just got a Gamecube controller & decided to get better at Smash, and Marth is one of my mains.
I hope to see something like this format for Samus & Fox/Falco/Wolf too, in the future. I think that would be cool.

@@Tonytonychoper13 I got mine off Amazon, it's a Smash GC controller, black. Same one my friend uses. I had the option to get an official one from a Japanese warehouse via a website which basically operates like eBay, but it'd probably take too long.

I play a bit of Lucina but these clips are making me with to try learning Marth. He just looks so cool
He is an extremely cool character. I love his high skill ceiling. There's a growing number of great Marth VODs by players like MKLeo, Ignaize, and Stretch. Top Marth mains have also come together to make an insanely good combo guide. Learning Marth is getting easier despite the high ceiling, and he's very rewarding to skilled players. Getting good with him is ADDICTING though. Be warned lol

When compared to Roy, Chrom, and Marth, Lucina is by far my favorite simply because she’s consistent and doesn’t rely on sour/sweet spot for damage.
She's also the most boring and bland of them all

Lucina also feels like the most reliable of the four. I intended to main Marth and only picked her up to get used to the game engine at first, but I ended up sticking to her to this day. I didn't expect I would love playing her so much

I know you can get that tipper sound effects from other characters, but there’s a special something you feel when you get it on Marth.
Hard to call these the "Most Godlike" plays without having ANY shield breaks on characters with a move literally called Shield Breaker 🤔 People don't realize that Marth can CONSISTENTLY kill before 25% with a shield break.
I realized it... as a Marth main. He can kill heavies at around 25% as well (literally killed a K. Rool after a shield break at around 27%).

Greatly depends on the player, honestly. On paper they are both extremely good. Marth is more rewarding but has a higher skill ceiling. Lucina is rather rewarding but has a lower skill ceiling and less combos.
Personally I main Marth because on a fundamental level I'm good at landing tippers and confirms. He's very hype and fun to play as long as you don't burn yourself out. However, I started out playing Lucina as she was much easier to get used to. After playing Marth through World of Light though, I stuck with him.

For every marth tipper, there's 4 that's a sour spot. He's sick, but honestly most people who play him can't even tipper properly and just hope it lands. That's why you barely see them online and lan. He's basically an RNG character.
Or most people are not competitive/good players? That's like me saying "for every Steve main, there are 4 that can't land 0 to death combos." You can't expect EVERYONE to be good with Marth, and that doesn't mean he's "RNG." As a Marth main, he certainly isn't RNG.
