nah there are better lucina plays.
Fox's recovery is so bad, especially against characters that are great at ledge-guarding, such as Lucina. Also, her up-B is broken on and off stage (will stage spike at low percents, is very fast and hard to react to. You use it when you and your opponent are trying to recover and odds are it will always be in your advantage because it's just that good). The 0:36 play is just standard Lucina stuff (fair, fair, fair, bair, up-b, bair at the ledge) 5:00 is a really good play.

Max Brito Yes, they cancel side-b into Nair after the first hit which leads to an easy Up-Smash or F-Smash, After labbing I learned that this combo works at later percents or at 0

% specific, probably make sure you're already comfortable with Nair 1 fsmash before trying to use it without a setup in mind

I think this is the best sword fighter from a design standpoint. Easy to get into, hard to master. Maybe that can be said for this game in general but Lucina is a great individual example, and just look at where it takes you!

@@FrostyTES Not with playstyle but with personality. She's a very loyal daughter to her father Chrom whom she wants to protect from a dark future. She's very strong and serious, and determined to protect people even if that means going against their wishes. I'm a huge FE fan so to me there's a lot more to her than that. Unlike Smash fans that will just say bad Girl Marth jokes because they've never played an FE game. Btw, Byleth is the best DLC character along with Joker.

I feel like some people would actually play Marth over Lucina if the sweetspot hitbox on his sword wasn't overridden by the other hitboxes. Oh well.

@@MrMega1423 yeah, not all of his moves but forward air, back air, and forward air all have been made "easier to hit the high damage range" according to the patch notes. It ain't perfect, but damn it is nice that he actually got something he needed

Lucina doesn't have the tip like Marth, but she deals more damage because she's using the whole sword. Marth's damage with the whole sword is actually lower. And her combo potential's much better than Marth's. Because of that Lucina has knocked Marth off the throne, sticking out more than she did on the Wii U. So if you think Lucina's an inferior clone of Marth, You've challenged your fate...

I wouldn't say Lucina does more damage, but she definitely has more combo potential because of Marth's sweet and sour spots. I still agree that Lucina is better than Marth, mainly because of consistency.
Lucina does not get enough recognition outside of the Fire Emblem games she stars in. Back in Smash 4, before the DLC, I found her more useful than Marth since she was faster. I still feel that way and won multiple online tournaments with her. She’s more than just a Fire Emblem character, let alone a character who originates from a franchise where swords are a necessity to almost every character.
I feel bad for Marth.

@@alvinramali1739 the character is all fundamentals. Only lower level players say characters take no skill to be effective with. It's about how the players decide to use them. The better player should still win and still effectively read their opponent. The ease of the character hardly matters in competitive play.
