Well mkleo has been getting upset repeatedly. I dont mean any disrepaect to nateru or the palu player whose name escapes me at the moment but mkleo losing to them both in one tournament is insane. No other top player has this happen to them so consistently

@@naenaehitter3119 My comment was not about MkLeo. It was about NateroU. Everyone is so focused on MkLeo that they forget to give credit to NateroU who worked really hard for his win.
Also, MkLeo has a lot of experience with Lucina and was the best representative for the character during the early Smash Ultimate metagame.

I feel like a lot of people forgot that Lucina was always leo's go to against pichu players back in 2019-20. While he could've used meta knight, I honestly doubt that he's touched that character in months and he's obviously played both marth/lucina a bit more recently. So I think Lucina was the right play here but obviously Leo isn't his former self and NaetorU has been on the rise, so Leo losing here isn't really cause of character choice like a lot of people think it is
This ain't 2019. Lucina still has 30% combos. Pichu goes to 40% max

You most def have zero clue how to play this game if you think that shit doesn't matter. You're so far behind it hurts. Mkleos adjusting to the current meta. His entire gameplans was basically what modern day meta is. Now he has to do something else.

Pichu is such a hard character to hit, and combine that with the fact there are barely any top level pichus to get proper matchup experience against. And you get an insane difficult match for Leo.

Lucina has a decent high jump & she comes down slowly, so I think that single jump was long enough to execute two moves.

This was a great matchup. Props to both players, and I am glad to see Leo stick to his Lucian in this matchup. I think it was the right call.

Leo didn't have a good time there, he was quite impatient and made many basic mistakes: overuse of high recovery, panic rolling in, aggressive without spacing. He's a top player, top players have bad time. And every match needs to be treated seriously.
I find it funny that everyone in comment section is saying leo should have played marth when playing warth would've given leo alot harder of a time considering pichu's combination of high agility, low endlag on moves, and small hurt box

MKleoからしたら持ちキャラ全部ピチューキツいし、カズヤ対策で使ってたマルスもカズヤと違ってピチューは速いから先端はほぼ当てられない。だからやむを得ず昔持ちキャラで尚且つマルスと操作感が遜色ないルキナを選んだんだと思う。カムイ、アイクを使わなかったのはそれが理由なんじゃないかな。３試合目は普通に流れ持っていけてたし、MKleoは最善を尽くしたと思う。
ジョーカーなら全然いけると思ってしまったんですが、MKleoのこだわりですかね

Neatoru played great but I am a little confused why a player the caliber of mkleo was so set on staying the same character and the same stage
only one other of his characters does well in this matchup imo and that's meta knight. pichu is rough for byleth, joker, and aegis afaik
@@SN-gv9zw I know mkleos characters have a hard time but regardless even if he went Marth instead of lucina that would have been better only for the reason that the marth has much more practice and tournament hours put into it at this point in time and you are naturally inclined to space better with marth so the fact that he stayed lucina is confusing to me but then again I'm not a top player so it's hard to say wether this is a valid opinion
@@JadeZombie_ssbu marth would probably have a harder time. pichu is already hard to hit so adding precise spacing makes it more difficult. at least with lucina, sourspots are more forgiving but marth gets even less reward for likely more risk
