I'm kinda new to this and I have a question. Are they uses corded controllers?? Or are those wireless controllers simply being charged while they play. Is there an advantage to what they're doing?
@@tantanthespaceman1923yes those are wired Nintendo GameCube controllers. Usually the controllers you see in competition will have modifications like more responsive buttons, and calibrated sticks. The reason they use wired controllers instead of wireless is to minimize input delay. Hope that helped clear things up.
I learned something today. 6:52 when Leo uses Foresight to dodge Skyjay’s dash attack, Mythra takes the increased damage from Revenge’s multiplier, AND Incineroar keeps Revenge online

Bc in competitive mu's are not the most important thing, is consistency. Joker is a very unconsistent character and if Leo is not on point this can happen. Same happens to tweek with Diddy for example

Manifest small parts of you to be Alble to understand the parts like adapting . Offense. Bla bla on a basis level. After that improve them by looking at their weaknesses. End lag and stuff. Then we you got the basic down . Practice combination in a simple manner and keep inscreasinf the difficulty. You don’t have to understand it you have to know it and your trained unconsious is the best at doing that.

That last time I saw Skyjay vs Leo (maybe a month ago or so), it was a massacre. Leo read Skyjay like a book throughout the entire set and it was almost hard to watch. The man is simply insane, kudos to him for breaking thru!

He just made some weird decisions, like why would he not go for the grab at the end of game two when skyjay had revenge active. He took a 45% backthrow and was in a terrible position
Leo: Go Aegis, loses with Aegis, people ask for the Joker Also Leo: Go Joker, loses with Joker, people complain that he switches to Aegis Bro stop your whinings he came back to Joker a while ago already and it clearly doesn't do better than the Aegis. At the end of the day if the Joker is not relevant anymore in the current meta, Leo will always favor Aegis as it's the character he likes to play. He's not gonna play Joker if Joker doesn't do better and it just makes sense, you guys have to chill out and just understand that x)

I think players just figured out Mkleo's characters. When joker came out peo0le didnt know how to fight againgst him then they learned same thing goes for Byleth people learned the MU. Mkleo just needs to stick to 1 character and grind with that 1 character Joker is solo viable Leo just needs to grind with him and not give up
Yeah I was going to say he kind of has a character crisis rn and the pool of players around him have closed the skill gap. His winning records are insane but I think Joker/Byleth is not bad for him to really grind again. Pyra Mythra's recovery to me is just too mid and exploitable as well as no added movement capabilities like gun dashes or b reverse cancels with Byleth.

Like we said tho, couple of quick reads and he obliterates stocks with arsen or byleth shield breaks. Pyra Mythra just based on consistency imo not too much clutch factor.
People are just catching up, man. Same thing happened with ZeRo in Smash 4. Nobody stays the best forever. In the end all of these guys are just regular people. They're not infallible or incapable of being surpassed.

I feel like smash ultimate is in a pretty healthy state of balance due to the character variety I'm seeing in tournaments. Watching Evo 2023, grand finals in 6 of the 8 games that were part of the event were mirror matches of the same character or team. Insanely stale compared to the crazy variety I'm seeing from smash lately.

Leo... my man. We all love you. But we have to talk about this Pyra/Mythra thing. That ain't it, chief. That said, I have to agree with Larry Lurr. Everyone knows Leo's absolute dominance with Joker a few years ago, but Byleth is hands down Leo's best character. Byleth plays to Leo's best qualities which are spacing and zoning. Safe bread and butter combos (i.e. nair to dash attack), incredible zoning tools (bair/fair), easy kill confirms (d-tilt to up air), and really good ledgetrapping and offstage options (f-smash, d-tilt, up-b). The up-b in particular is devastating.
Keep trying to tell y'all the game is balanced. Just because a character has limited options does not mean said options aren't super good . U.S. players do not seem to grasp this concept but I think it's becoming clearer to them.
I'll believe that when I see a Dedede, Little Mac, Ganondorf, Kirby, or Jigglypuff do what Skyjay did here. Ganondorf and Little Mac are effectively unusable at a top level. People often place Incineroar with these characters when he is blatantly a much better character that is merely overlooked because of his low running speed being unattractive to the majority of players, despite the fact he has an obscene advantage state and extremely good frame data and recovery for a heavy. Smash players simply are just addicted to constant speed. This is not really a problem with American's thinking the game isn't balanced. This is a problem with Incineroar being a massively underrated character because people don't like actually playing footsies. Ken and Ryu got the exact same treatment until a couple extremely solid players picked them up and showed that they are extremely viable characters. This game is more balanced than other games in the series but it is by no means a game with good balance. It's simply too tall of a task to balance a game with almost 100 unique characters.

It’s a 50/50, if mythra reverse up bs they don’t get revenge, but if incin reads it then can get a down tilt or forward tilt

Kalos is really bad for Incin idk what you’re talking about. Mythra has one of the best speeds in the game and that stage is huge.

I feel like smash ultimate is in a pretty healthy state of balance due to the character variety I'm seeing in tournaments. Watching Evo 2023, grand finals in 6 of the 8 games that were part of the event were mirror matches of the same character or team. Insanely stale compared to the crazy variety I'm seeing from smash lately.

That said, I have to agree with Larry Lurr. Everyone knows Leo's absolute dominance with Joker a few years ago, but Byleth is hands down Leo's best character. Byleth plays to Leo's best qualities which are spacing and zoning. Safe bread and butter combos (i.e. nair to dash attack), incredible zoning tools (bair/fair), easy kill confirms (d-tilt to up air), and really good ledgetrapping and offstage options (f-smash, d-tilt, up-b). The up-b in particular is devastating.
Leo looks like he couldn’t care less about smash. I think he’s going to just be a youtuber instead of competitive. Way more money in that

Keep trying to tell y'all the game is balanced. Just because a character has limited options does not mean said options aren't super good . U.S. players do not seem to grasp this concept but I think it's becoming clearer to them.
I'll believe that when I see a Dedede, Little Mac, Ganondorf, Kirby, or Jigglypuff do what Skyjay did here. Ganondorf and Little Mac are effectively unusable at a top level. People often place Incineroar with these characters when he is blatantly a much better character that is merely overlooked because of his low running speed being unattractive to the majority of players, despite the fact he has an obscene advantage state and extremely good frame data and recovery for a heavy. Smash players simply are just addicted to constant speed. This is not really a problem with American's thinking the game isn't balanced. This is a problem with Incineroar being a massively underrated character because people don't like actually playing footsies. Ken and Ryu got the exact same treatment until a couple extremely solid players picked them up and showed that they are extremely viable characters.
This game is more balanced than other games in the series but it is by no means a game with good balance. It's simply too tall of a task to balance a game with almost 100 unique characters.
I swear Leo's Corrin is better than his Aegis.
