Another great video. Glad to see a doctor that wants to care for the whole person encouraging the patient to improve their quality of life which contributes to a great surgical outcome.
Identify your “Vice”. Mindful eating and others.
Appreciate the list in your notes. ❤

I’m considering bilateral knee replacement surgery. I’ve used Noom successfully in the past but have regained most of the weight. You have inspired my to get back to a healthier relationship with food. I appreciate your caring for the whole person not just a body part.

I’m currently at a BMI of 26.6. I’ve recently put on weight as a result of weight training over the last 6 months. I’ve added about 8 pounds to my frame, but it seems to be more added muscle than fat. That’s one thing that I wondered about with BMI. It’s a pretty gross measure that doesn’t seem to account for a healthy and muscular body composition. One of my reasons for getting into the weight training, which I’ve done on and off over the years, is to prepare for my upcoming March knee replacement.

Thanks for sharing. Yes, muscle weighs more and will affect the BMI but lots of benefits from strength training.
