      Stolen from Wikipedia but, this is an incredible stat. 'The band had 21 Billboard Top 40 hits between 1969 and 1975, with three hitting number one.' Even if they only had 3 # 1's that is very impressive. I originally thought that all their songs were top 40.

It become 3DN's first ever Top 10 hit. This was followed up with "Easy to Be Hard", which is definitely one you should add to your list. The vocalists' names are Danny Hulton, Chuck Negron, and Cory Wells. Michael Allsup was the guitarist, Jimmy Greenspoon played keyboards, Joe Schermie played bass, and Floyd Sneed was the drummer. "One" was written by Harry Nilsson. So you HAVE to do: Harry Nilsson: Without You. It'll blow you away when he hits the chorus.

    Fun fact: Three Dog Night recorded a Lennon/McCartney song: "It's For You". Almost completely a capella. I don't know if the Beatles ever recorded it.

      I understand the Beatles thought the song did not suite there style so gave it to their good friend from Liverpool Cilla Black. As seen on her TV show ;
      ruclips.net/video/B4HC1IfpYBw/видео.html
      With Paul and John present. Some Beatles imitators have released versions to fool us. But there are scraps of the abandoned Beatles tests of the song.

    Now you need to react to John Farnham performing "One" live. He can really hit those high notes and I think he's the only other singer who can pull it off besides Three Dog Night. Chuck Negron is the singer singing "One" here. I love Three Dog Night! Also, check out: "Pieces of April", "Black and White" and "Out in the Country".

    This song "One" was written by Harry Nilsson & became a big hit for Three Dog Night. They are an American-Irish rock band from the 60's-70's. This band had a lot of energy. They had 3 guys with great voices that could all sing lead vocals. Some other great songs are "Just An Old fashioned Love Song", Eli's Coming", Shambala", "Mama Told Me Not To Come", "Try A Little Tenderness", "Never Been To Spain", "Easy To Be Hard", "The Show Must Go On" etc.

    The late great and tragically unappreciated (Still not in Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame) Harry Nilsson wrote this song while on the phone listening to a busy signal. He has written so much, but his Grammys are both for songs he did not write, they being Everybody's Talking and Without You. Harry Nilsson is a Rabbit Hole you would want to get lost in. And there is a TV movie that he did called The Point, that I think you both will love and so will your kids. Has a great lesson about accepting differences.
