I have an ‘85 380SL with 79K mikes in dark navy blue with blue soft top and wind screen. Your car needs chrome wheels to make it sparkle even more. You should consider getting your brake calipers rebuild with new brake fluid and replace steering damper, center link/tie rods, in addition to rebuilding the suspension with brand new bushings. It drives awesome! It’s night and day difference! The car is very easy to DIY project. Oh yeah, it’s very important to replace the fuel tank filter screen as it may have been clogged in the last 35+ yrs.

Would love if you could compare it to your SL and the latest SL to see how the design has changed and if quality has been kept. From my experience old benzes have great luxury features and power (for their time) but can still out run a modern BMW 320 for example I loved how mercedes classes all looked different from each other up until 2012 when now they all look the same and have pointless classes. A Coupe and CLA are too similar. GLA GLB are pointless, they arent even actual SUVs.
I'm having a 6-speed manual transmission (from theSLshop.com) put into my astral silver, blue interior '88. But really like that red one with the black interior. Never understood why M-B thought that buyers really wanted blue interiors. But that's just my opinion.
Interesting. The AC-switches should look completly different in a 1987 model. It should have a automatic climate control instead of this manual switches, which MB only used in the 70's. And no tempomat in a 560SL? Can't see the lever. 560's came normaly with almost full specs. But maybe australian specific configuration. PS: Found some other 560SL in australia for sale with the same AC-controls. Seems a little bit odd from MB to use this old switches for the austalian market.

The seat height adjustment is on the door side of the seat. One other party trick is it can be roll started if needed.

you ca lower the seat and push back it will give you lots of room and stops you looking over the sun visor..da..
