- Offered for sale is this stunning example of the very collectible R107 Roadster from Mercedes-Benz, a (final year of production) 1989 560SL in beautiful Tuxedo Black over Dove Gray leather. This all Southern car has been beautifully maintained, and runs and drives exceptionally well. The factory VIN stickers are all in place, the paint is excellent and original, and the leather and wood are in very good condition. It includes the hard top, all books and tools. Amenities include power windows, power central locking, Factory hard and soft tops, driver side air bag, original Becker radio that has been factory refurbished and enhanced with an auxiliary input, chrome factory rims with Michelin tires, Mercedes-Benz accessory seatbelt guides and floor mats, leather steering wheel, and more. This car has seen much recent service, and is entirely free from corrosion on top and underneath. Inside and out, this is a remarkably honest car with original paint, original soft top, and loving ownership. Do not miss this one!
For my money, Bill is one of the most under rated RUclips personalities. Quirky vitriol at its finest! :D
I just love the US version of the SL. I love the large bumpers and round headlights. Looks way more interesting than the Euro version.
Agreed. Mine has euro headlights and big american bumpers. I'm either/or on the lights, but I prefer the big bumpers.
Amen. I love the larger bumpers because they give the car more classy distinction from its tiny Euro counterpart. The small Euro version looks like a cheap Mustang.
Have no problem with the bumpers. Round lights look better
Best car ever..
The bumpers after model year 1983 were slightly shorter. I love the big bumpers.
Love it, the R107 was designed as US-spec, it looks fabulous, the four headlamps really suit it. The Euro R107 with those rectangular headlights look gawky.
A very beautiful work of craftsmanship
Bill: a friend to moths everywhere
Beautiful car, looks impeccable
I remember seeing this car for the first time a few years back when I didn't have a car. I said if I was rich, I'd buy it.
My wife says “thank you” for rescuing the moth. You old softee.
Love, love the wheel covers...
miss hub caps, full covers
Love your channel.
Restoring one right now.
Would love to get some hints on where to source parts from...
Thanks.
So sleek, so elegant
Beautiful car, hat's off sir!
Wow, that’s beautiful car💯💕☺️
My dream car love it
This guy gets soooo easily distracted by a plane flying above him, the sun and a fucking moth!!! WOW!
I have a 1989 560SL. Less than 50,000 miles. Hoping to sell.
Why do you want to sell?
Phenomenal video!
The air bags debuted in the 1986 560SL.
always finest Mercedeses here
always great videos bill
I should make a video of mine. Beautiful car
So beautiful
U.S. spec bumpers look terrible on these beautiful cars
Thank you Mr. Fantastic...
My only complaint re: the 560SL is the trunk brake light. It really disrupts the lines of the car.
My baby is named Helga because she's German. I waited 45 years to get a 25-year-old car. Now she's 30 and in mint condition, about 120,000 miles, black with camel interior, and envied everywhere she goes.
Those bumbers...
Such a beautiful car! But seriously???
Does not bother me, ya the smaller ones look better.
awesome
Hello is this still available? (Sorry English not good)
Bruno didn't draw that car. He drew the R129
Correct, R107 designed by Friedrich Geiger & Joseph Gallitzendörfer C.1968. Though the aforementioned blokes are given credit for the C107 as well (on the web) it was actually a young Karl Wilfert who is credited by Daimler as the one responsible for the coupés deveopment, based on the R107 body style.
Dean Martin had one just like it i used to see him getting in n out of it a Chasins occasionally with grandson in tow .
Do you still have this car?
I was not offended when Bill said “tranny mounts”.
Is it available?
What’s price ..?
Hello. Could you please send me the price. ?
Bill, Are you kidding? You do not improve original mercedes equipment.those wheels dertact from the understated elegance of Mercedes style!
so bill is terrified of birds but will grab a moth with his bare hands??
How much
I want that
Wow
Bumpers, headlights.......don't look right, do they? Sure they'd be easy enough to fix, though.
I was expecting you to throw that moth down and take out your Uzi and anialate it for daring to touch the Mercedes.
It is beautiful in black.
who wants to drive with the roof on top
The bumbers look put of place on the car
That's a car
