Titiwangsa bungalows are over a million. It’s homes to the old money. Damansara and Bangsar are also expensive but they are opening newer building new apartments just so they can be considered in prime area and attracting new money and also younger crowds
Nice video of the Titiwangsa Lake Garden and its beautiful surrounding and posh homes, good to see you're enjoying your walk about .. good cardio exercise too
Hardy any tourists have had the opportunity to visit the Taman Negara ( national park) in the state of Pahang; perhaps they have not been told about it or they are not interested. The sad fact is that Malaysians either do not visit this part of Malaysia. I myself have been there twice and never regretted it. We spent about 5 days in each trip camping and fishing in one of the most remote part of the world. It was just awesome!
As a Malaysian i would like to share that my family enjoy our yearly trip to Taman Negara, and i dont mind that it does not have a lot of crowd. It is absolutely awesome!
I travel to Taman Negara every year because we have an annual event there. There are always tourist from western countries. The natural side of Taman Negara is impressive, but not really the resorts and restaurants, some are quite embarrassing. Pahang state tourism not doing a good job maintaining the place.
I've only been there once, a tough hike to Gua Kepayang and scary to be hiking along elephant trails with their dung in different stages from the ones with blackened grass remains to those with green grass shoots in them.. Then there's that creature which came twice into the cave to drag a bag of cooking oil away despite us shooing it. I'll go back. The visit to the hanging walkway and the visit to the Orang Asli village. I'd be great to go back again.
Hi Ben, it's good that you're candid, direct and frank on your comments, be it on the places you see, food, amenities, weather etc. Most youtubers overate the food they eat or places they visit. It's so boring. We want to know what foreigners really think of our place. No place is perfect. So long we score 70% approval rating from tourists is good enough. But we need feedback on the 30% unfavorable rating. Pls continue your good work!
I grew up in Titiwangsa and you passed by my old school as you were approaching the park. Brings back some very fond memories but that area is totally transformed from my childhood days. Char kuay teow is a Chinese flat noodle dish which is a famous Malaysian dish. The best ones can be found at those hawker places but it’s definitely a must try. Loving your content and candid comments. Keep up the good work.
Thts transit centre for homeless and those barbers were giving free haircuts..u should try to feature and explore local activities like this and tht area u say abt noise pollution is actually near kl general hospital
7:45 Moving around Malaysia by express Bus is insanely "cheap", you can also get a plane-like bus in Malaysia, with business class seat, infotainment and also food. And still affordable
36:02 - If you are curious about where the locals go for their 'nightlife' entertainment/shopping... You should find out or ask the locals about "BAZARIA WANGSA MAJU / UPTOWN DANAU KOTA"... I assure you that place is not as touristy as Jalan Alor Bukit Bintang or Changkat Bukit Bintang but the locals love to flock there... you will find local food, cheap clothings, etc there (local price)...
Hi Ben, I'm glad to see you in KL again.. and I'm happy to see many Malaysians in YT started to like you and giving support, reactions and positive comments on your video.. Keep it up.. Have a great time in Malaysia 🇲🇾👍
The houses there after convert to USD still be in the tune of Millions 😂 bro, but yes the land was cheap during the 70s 80s, those days people buy a piece of land and built their own home, that’s why each of ‘em looks different.. Oh and a spoiler… Trec use to be The Place to party.. but now is where kids go party bro ..
I remember back in the 80s my family & relatives used to go to KL and we would stop at Tasik Titiwangsa to have our lunch, well it’s more like a picnic where my mom would bring all types of homecooked food and we ate together by the lake under the trees....during that time we could not afford to eat at the restaurants..but we really enjoyed the time eating together ...those were the days where simple things really made us so happy... 😊
Yes, I was definitely one of the one that mentioned and recommended this park to you. I also mentioned, but you didn't notice, that the nearest lrt station walking to this garden is the Titiwangsa station, by LRT or monorail. What a wonderful park.
Omg, I love that park area and those houses. Do you know what location that was you were at at 41:50 ? I wanna try and see if I could check pricing to live there. Absolutely beautiful. ~ Tazzz ~
The luckiest RUclipsrs were the ones that got stuck in a tourist destination when Covid hit that's when most RUclips Channels blew up due to people being stuck at home and having nothing to do than watch RUclips or Netflix !!!!
you are in Titiwansa neighbour hood its a 1970s high end area.. used to be posh.. but its rapidly going down hill now.. but condo developers will be moving in in the next few years.. if you want to see an upscale neighbourhood.. you need to go to Damansara height etc.. there's plenty of video of that area to checkout.. should buy whilst still cheap..
Back during covid lockdown, i used to enjoy walking around posh neighborhoods like this. I like the houses that you saw, retro design, unconventional shapes. No houses like those anymore.
It is illegal to cross the road if there is an overhead bridge and you can be fined if you are caught. There is an overhead bridge and a pedestrian crossing along Jalan Pahang just outside the Hospital Kuala Lumpur entrance. The place where you cross the road was very dangerous and ill advised. There used to be an underpass where one could cross from Jalan Pahang to the Titiwangsa side but I think it was removed during the rebuilding of the area with the MRT stations.
Have you thought of going to Saba.Fly into Kota Kinabalu then Sandakan.Water village there has a lot of rubbish and is a rear eye opener.Monkey forest sanctuary is pretty special.😊🤛☮️
It is called ‘shared path’, sharing between bikers and pedestrians. You should walk on the left side heading north. It is very common worldwide including here in Australia.
These are mostly old bungalow houses probly worth 4 to 10 mil. It's definitely a rich man enclave but not the super rich. You should do a video on the affluent Embassy precinct at Taman Uthant area next to the American embassy. These are mostly high end condominiums but there is a super rich Palladian Villa bangalow at no 9 Jalan Madge probly worth more than 200 mil that will blow your mind away. It's a very low density residential area with lush green environment that only the rich and famous can afford..
The house u saw normally in 1970-1980 can buy the land .that time Rm 5k-10k (depend how many square feet a land )After many years who have money will rebuild the house or selling to others and build a new house or empty wait for land price increase and selling out. My family have these land and house is old. Empty no one stay . So just see who want and rebuild house or seeking next buyer. Another few land selling to other developers to build high end condo too. Just see how we negotiate the price.
Naturally, if there's ambulance "noise", there's the KL General Hospital, the National Heart Institute and the National Blood Bank there. So bear the sound lah!
Ben, Malaysia is The market for luxury cars in ASEAN. Before Thailand started their vehicle assembly lines (because Malaysia said no to them setting up shop as we have several car manufacturers here), we sold the most vehicles in ASEAN. We are still number 1 in the passenger car market for ASEAN.
This is a nice video of titiwangsa. It brings wonderful memories, i had a date with a beautiful girl there about 25 years ago. I have not been there since 😊
I was worried that the policeman would give you a fine for jumping over the roads like that 😂Luckily he was very kind and helpful to you. Good video again, thanks! Looking forward to Bangsar video part 2 😉
9:44 , there is underpass! Just walk a bit further. Gelandangan transit mean it’s a place to accommodate homeless peoples, to feeds them and find them a job.
You just walked past my Primary school at 18:48, the 4-storey building on the left where i studied from age 7 to 12. Every Friday, we would cross the road to play by the lake & playground. Back then, there was only grass & dirt and nothing else besides the lake & new playground. My sister broke her arm playing on the swing & put on a cast. I even walked from school to Chow Kit alone to buy those velcro fold wallets for RM1 or RM2 each. Once, my parents took us out for dinner on the Malay style floating restaurant on my birthday. Some years later, i had a first date there. We took the sampan (row boat) on the lake. I heard someone was giving diving lessons in the lake a while back by private booking. The lake was originally for tin mining.
There are nice short stay apartments all over KL for $20-30 per night. Kitchens and washing machines. Many have balconies with nice views. Not sure what your budget is though.
Titiwangsa is quite exclusive. Its not cheap too. The properties can go into millions of ringgit. Old money & the offspring probably migrate oversea already.
Oh none of those house is 100k. Haha. I doubted any of them is even 1 million. Even the ugliest house there should be more than RM 1 million. Any landed property with a 5 minute walking distance away from the Titiwangsa park cant be affordable. But Titiwangsa is generally speaking more affordable than KLCC, Bukit Bintang & even Bangsar or Damansara.

Hello Bro.. Saya cadangkan lepas ni buat vlog bermula dari kedutaan Amerika ➡️ Jalan U Thant ➡️ Jalan Ampang Hilir ➡️ Taman Tasik Ampang Hilir 😁
Interesting thanks, I do wanna check out Ampang area!

It's my favorite park too❤
I discovered your channel, I love your vlogging videos about Malaysia, packed with informations, thanks for sharing

The National Art Gallery

hey mate, I recommend you visit Batu Caves, just a quick trip from KL and awesome place! It would make a great vlog 🙌
The houses near titiwangsa are old neighbourhood. Theyve been around probably since 1970s or 80s. Very expensive.
16:35
Rumah = house
Putih = white
Rumah putih = white house
There are 3 hospitals in that area . Of course there are ambulance.😂 . General hospital, tawakal hospital and respiratory hospital .
35:00 You entered a high-class residential area. Haha. They are earning way above the average Malaysian pay grade.
It's centre for the homeless. It's a temporary shelter. They are given food as well
I stayed in Sapang the same problem. Not a lot of mass transit
You were going to Taman Tasik Titiwangsa. You should use the monorail from Chow Kit
Nice view.. Ben, how about if I suggested you walk to the Embassy of the USA...
Damn. I used to live in Titiwangsa for 2 years. I miss it terribly. I love how everything is so near to each other & u can just walk. No car needed.
There are delicious murtabak and roti canai stalls nearby mate . Please try

Yes theatre in Malays is Teater
Gelandangan means those who do not have a place to live. It looks like an employee of a barber shop doing charity work cutting homeless people's hair.
Homeless

Yea I will eventually visit Sabah and Sarawak for sure! Thanks
Go to Putrajaya (next to MRT Station) and take the ART for free. It will do a trip to IOI Mall and back. Its only for this month I think.
Tasik Titiwangsa is very deep, used to be a mining site. I thought it was an artificial lake all this time.

Hi ben, maybe you can do a comparison video between malaysian metro/subway and New York subway. I think you’ll get tonnes of views.
I've not been back at Chow Kit for years. PJ has all we need, we hardly want to venture back into the thick of KL. 😄
The meta of getting a lot of YT views in Malaysia : Be a Caucasian or Japanese/Korean and praise the country and people.
From klsentral you can take the monorail to Titiwangsa station
Titiwangsa is an old established neighborhood property there would cost above rm1million

That indoor stadium near the lake is hosting the world sepak takraw event... Malaysia vs Thailand 😅
Those house own by what we cal 'Dato' and businessman. Their rich. They bought the land and built their Bangalore house at their own designs.

If you see BUNGALOW in KL, it’s not middle class. Its wealthy area, most of them the wealthy in 80-90’s era..
Yea this makes sense, when I see those houses I think of wealth

This is a very rare coverage of Chow Kit Road and Kg Baru. Should get very high view.
Taman means Garden, Housing area or Parks
Tasik: Lakes
Titiwangsa is the place name
you are correct.. one lane is for walking the other is for bikes.. but those idiot don't give a F*K.. nice park but area is too working class..
Ben, what you said are the truth.
In Malaysia sidewalks are public spaces for pedestrian, but the bike riders bad mentality to park on the sidewalk.
Also lackasaidle attitude of Datuk Bandar Pulau Pinang (Mayor)and his officers to enforce action like summons to the vehicle owner who park on the sidewalks to deter them in the future are not done consistently

You see all the Mayors not just in Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang or Penang but all over the country they never use publics transport or sidewalks so there is no awareness to provide good walkable experiwnce thru out or at the side of motorway.
In U.S you have something like Pedestrian Act, unfortunately we dont here, but it is something that the lawmaker or political persons should do . But only if there is awareness amongst them.
42:00 no thanks. I am not impressed. I prefer something small like 500 square feet or less but on a big wooded lot. Big houses seem cold.
check out Tanarimba Property
Thats public bike parking, the rental bicycle is illigalbiz
It's not for pedestrian that road you're walking (earlier part)...Notice no one walking
