Many foreigners don't know about Malaysia. You must first ask those you want to ask, whether they are Malaysians or foreigners. Most of the shop or restaurant workers there are foreigners. The Indian girl you asked in the first place is not a Malaysian. it may come from india, bangladesh, pakistan or myanmar or indonesia. So be careful.

🫡 third largest group in Malaysia is non citizen(Malay,Chinese, non citizen,India)..Malaysia has the most foreign worker in this region..high paid worker mostly from japan & korea which tourist will confuse with local chinese, low paid worker mostly from indonesia & bangladesh which tourist will confuse with local malay & india..
Malaysia ranked 2nd in tourism in this region behind Thailand, compare to Thailand that received many "white" tourist,Malaysia tourist mostly people with similar face (china, hongkong, indonesia, india, singapore etc..)
so make sure to ask if they are local or not..and pointing finger is not rude ..don't believe everything on internet..everywhere you go try ask local if what you read on internet is true or just myth 😁

Good info. Just an idea: maybe turn the camera around? Mainly a long tourist-selfie here. Why are you filming yourself so much when visiting a foreign country. Nothing personal, but probably more interesting to see the real place when makin a serch here on yt. Good luck!

actually the king's birthday is not the individual king's birthday but a special date declared by the council of state monarchs. it corresponds to the date of birth of the country's first king after independence from british rule in 1957. each state monarch has his own birthday. the king of malaysia is a position rotated amongst the 9 state monarchs every five years.

It's 9pm and you go around saying "Selamat Petang". That's for the afternoon. At night you should say "Selamat Malam". The stunned look on people's faces. Awkward / embarrassing.

malaysia used to have an empire called the johor empire covering present day lands of malaysia, singapore, indonesia, timor leste, brunei and the philippines. historical city melaka and later johor baharu the southern gateway were the two most famous capitals of that empire. the empire ended when the british colonised it in the 1800s, and they took control of the vassal states of johor first, and finally johor state itself. britain made malaysia a federation of 13 colonies/protectorates, meaning johor and its 12 vassals. independence came in 1957 for 11 states in west malaysia, and again for sarawak and sabah that is east malaysia on borneo island in 1963.

I am from Malaysia, the Malaysia Government and Malaysia Royal Police work closely with Myanmar Military / Junta that are killing everyone in Myanmar. Malaysian government is helping people kidnap innocent people and torturing them until they die. Please help raise awareness, google Malaysia abductions and youll see that these cases go cold because the Malaysian police are doing these crimes. This month a woman (Thuzar) , her husband, and three CHILDREN have been missing for 4 weeks!! I dont know her but this has raised many questions in my city and everyone wants to leave Malaysia. Please do your research before coming here, foreigners are targets in Malaysia and its sad because soon nobody will come to our country. Kuala Lumpur is a hideout for many criminals / corrupt police. Please, please, please be aware of your surroundings if you visit!
There is a video of Raymond Koh being abducted by 20 people in black SUVs/bikes are have masks also, look it up! Malaysia government systematically abducts people they dont like and you never hear from them again! I advise not to visit this country until the government gives answers on all these missing people.
